Two cats approached Nala. The spirit was confused at first. Who are they? One cat was smaller than other and eyes as sweet chocolate that humans loved to eat. She realized at last that it is..."Waterlily." She almost gave her a toothy smile, but she resisted. The cat seemed not to notice her eyes. Next to Waterlily, a large tom cat padded right next to Nala, his blue eyes shining with affection. Obvious... His eyes won't stop glittering. His black pelt shone in the moonlight. It took her breath away. Now, the spirit seemed to understand why the ancient medicine cat fell in love with him. He is truly handsome. "Good evening to you too, Walldrop." She was impressed at how his voice sound like. It was normal, like he used with other cats that he did not know. Nala did not realize this feeling...the feeling of lightness, the warm sensation...Great StarClan!

After a pause from the other leaders Puddlestar thought that she might a well explain herself. But she decided to wait until in front of all of the clans. "Shall we begin?" she asked the other leaders. She moved her gaze across all of the leaders faces and studied their exspressions. She silently sighed to herself and really hoped for the hundreth time that the night would go well. The moon shone brightly in the dark sky and set a cool mood around the clearing. She heard cats mingling sharing the latest news. She was anxious to begin.

Heart pounding, Featherpaw saw a dark tabby run towards her. Adjusting her eyes to the dark, she saw that it was Nettlepaw. "Hi!" She mewed warmly. Flinching, she realized that Moonclan and Dawnclan cats were not usually so close. "How are you?" Featherpaw asked formally, sitting up straight. Secretly she was very excited to see Nettlepaw, it had been a few days since they had last met and Featherpaw missed him. Their meetings had become relaxed and fun. Not even Swiftpelt knew about the meetings, though sometimes she thought her mentor must have figured it out.

Walldrop took time then to truly inspect her. Violet eyes did not meet his, but black. A flick of some emotion crossed them, but then startled itself away. Walldrop heaved a sigh, and plopped to the ground beside Nala. He missed the touch of lacing his tail with Appleblossom's. Her purr of satisfaction. Frowning in thought, he kept up a pretty good facade to show that he wasn't too shocked. "Nala... Nice to see you", he murmured so no one else could hear him. Licking his muzzle in thought, he wrapped his tail around those large paws of his. Looking at her through peripheral vision, he smiled cockily and spoke. "If I didn't know you better, dear Nala, I would say I saw surprise and confusion in those eyes of yours". A low purr rumbled in his throat. Grinning to himself, he watched the crowd, wondering how Appleblossom was.

Haggarstar nodded, "You may begin, Puddlestar."
Nala narrowed her eyes, "Nice to see you too." Not really. She wanted the deputy to stay away from her, but he did not. Rolling her eyes, she told him, "Of course, I was surprised to see you here, talking to me, the parasite that took your lover." Scoffing, her tail flicked on the ground as she moved away from the deputy, looking at Waterlily, smiling at her heartily, "Never mind Walldrop. So, how is your mentor, Stonefang?"

Her amber eyes turned towards the owner of the soft spoken, calm voice for she had been looking away when the cat had spoken. His lyrics flowing ever so smoothly into her ear as she ignored the words and sounds around her. At first, Flyaway just looked around as if it had been a whisper in the wind yet stopped at a tom with a similar pelt to her own. Her eyes became guarded, he was an unfamiliar cat and more so from a different clan, she wasn't even sure if he had been the one to speak in the first place.
"Who might you be?" There was no answer to Flamefur's question, she could smell DawnClan's scent sticking to his pelt like maple stuck to bark and due to that, she was suspicious. Not only did she not come to gatherings often but she also tended to stick to her own clan instead of socializing. There was no point, they'd face each other in battle and she'd rather befriend one from her own clan instead of petty feelings towards another get in her way as it seemed to do to some cat's every so often.
She was so caught in her curiosity and suspicion of the unknown tom that she didn't hear the leader's talk about starting the gathering.

Waterlily had a curious look. Nala? She felt out of the loop. But she shook the thought off, not wanting to be rude to her good friend. Whatever it was, it must be and inside joke with the clan or something. But why was Walldrop acting like that to a Medicine cat? Waterlily was very confused. "Umm Stonefang is doing good. I think he is enjoying not having the pressures of being a medicine cat. I still have to him for some help though, and I think he likes that sometimes." She said with a smile.

"I'm fine, you?" Nettlepaw replied, with shining green eyes. Though by his relaxed voice one might find it hard to tell, but he was really happy to see Featherpaw. "Good to um, see you again." he continued. It was so hard to talk here with all these cats that had the potential of listening in on their conversation. He could count on one paw the few times they had met, but everytime he saw her his heart quickened.
"Of course" Nightwhisper purred to Nightbloom, butting him on the shoulder fondly with her head. Last Gathering she barely knew him and had come alone, like she always had. Now that her mate was here though the night seemed brighter. Or maybe the ground seemed duller. Waiting for a responce from Brokencyde she decided to break the slight awkwardness between them. "Brokencyde, Nightbloom. Nightbloom, Brokencyde." she greeted them.

Flamefur still had a nagging feeling in his chest, the same one he had received at camp not so long ago. It was a feeling that Reedtail had been hurt, or that something had happened to her. At the gathering, he was almost afraid to seek her out and see if she was alright.Reedtail was, indeed, alright. She was sitting near a few other MoonClan cats when she suddenly spotted the unmistakable ginger pelt of her brother and his worried green eyes searching for her. She murmured that she'd be right back and leaped to see him, careful for the kits in her belly. "Flamefur!" She purred.
Flamefur's heart nearly burst with relief when he saw his sister and heard her voice. She was okay after all! But what could that feeling have been, then? "Hey Reedtail!" He meowed, though not able to hide the confusion and new anxiety in his voice. She looked plumper than usual, as if harboring some kind of disease.
The dark ginger tabby frowned at this remark. "What's wrong, Flamefur? I have some great news!" She kept her eyes bright and tried to show her brother how happy she was to see him. His eyes kept betraying signs of doubt towards her, though.
Flamefur hesitated, then tried shaking the feeling off. Maybe her good news would cheer him up. "Let's hear it!" He said, letting himself lighten up, for his sister's sake.
Reedtail's mouth broke in to a beaming smile and she purred out the words. "I have a mate now! I'm expecting Crowlight's kits." She could already feel the kits now, little paws kicking at her womb, and she knew it would not be too long before she would be back at camp with these little toms and she-cats.
Her brother didn't seem too happy, though. "What-" He broke off. "Am I being replaced as your friend? You've got a new guy now, of course." He retorted sharply, his gaze darkening. Reedtail's purr stopped and she frowned.
"Crowlight's my mate, you'll always be my brother- how could I replace yo-" Flamefur cut her off with a wave of his tail, and turned, stalking away hurt.

Her eyes, finally adjusting to the light, moved to her mentor for a moment and then the cats around her. Anyone at the gathering could over hear them in a clearing like this. Listening ears where everywhere. "I'm good." she mewed, looking into his eyes briefly before looking down at her snow white paws, nervous.
"How's training?" She asked, already knowing the answer. She had only seen him the other day, not much should have changed. Placing her tail around her paws she murmured. "This is my first gathering."

LEGEND Eaglepaw ~ FireclanStonestream ~ FireclanJadefeather ~ Mistclan Her eyes fixed to take in the gloom that hung around the grouping. She fluffed up her pelt and looked around anxiously for someone to talk to, preferably someone new, that she hadn't met yet. Thats when she saw them, two youngsters like her, from, she inhaled their scent as she drew closer. Dawnclan and Moonclan it seemed. Their stench filled her scent glands and she bounded closer. She stopped and looked at them, her eyes lightening with excitement. "Hi there, I haven't seen you around before. But then again, this is only my second gathering. Oh, I'm sorry, I'm intruding aren't I. I'm sorry," she mewed loudly and suddenly. She blinked and lowered her gaze. She looked suddenly very embarrased at her rude outburst. He bounded into the clearing, looking nervous. Again he'd almost missed the gathering because he'd nearly slept the whole night away. But he loved gatherings, it was just he always forgot when they started. He sat, tail twitching nervously. He slowly calmed, as his gaze searched the clearing for someone to speak with, calm his nerves down a tad. He was jumpy, and Eaglepaw's sudden outburst definately didn't help. Mews and purrs sounded from all over the place, everyone seemed to be deep in conversation. He sighed and sat down quietly, tail twitching with boredum. She sat by herself, excluding herself from others. It wasn't her favourite thing to do, talking to other clan members. She barely felt very comfortable with her own clanmates, as she barely new them. She wasn't the type to make friends easy, although she was a pretty young she-cat. She laid down, grooming her paws quietly. She licked her lips, listening to the others around her with a lonely gaze.[/blockquote]

NightBloom smiled. The Cats walked beside him and his mate. This was fun. Funner then the rest. Lot's of Gathering's. Lot's of duties. Lot's of... NightBloom heard his mate introduce him to the other cat. "Brokencyde, NightBloom. NightBloom, Brokencyde." NightBloom lowered his head. "Nice to meet you." He said softly. the Moon rising higher above the pillars.

Silentheart, who was looking a little more plump than her clanmates, sat alone, green eyes looking up at the leaders as they talked to one another. Her eyes then scanned the crowd as they all chatted and laughed and joked. A frown made itself at home upon her face as she looked down at her rather tubby stomach. Her frown deepened - kits, it had to be kits, there was no other explanation, yet... the father? She knew not of any tom-cats she had mated with - though she did know both Phantomheart and Desertstorm had taken after her, much to her confusion. It was abnormal for her to have anyone 'chase' after her in a romantic way - was it possible one of they were the father?

Silently, without a word she waited for a response from the tom who had spoken to her yet no answer was received to her own question. Her eyes watched him as he ignored her, going up to another cat similar to him in looks as they began to speak. She did and said nothing as the two argued before her and even when the tom stalked off, angry and irritated she did nothing.. at least for a few seconds. Perhaps the tom had not been talking to her, it could have been a mistake and she had caught the wrong cat. With a flick of her tail she turned around, walking towards where her clan was sitting, listening and chattering while the leaders got ready above.
Glancing towards Stonestream, she walked towards where he was and sat down.

Glasspaw padded up to Turtlepaw. He noted that she was indeed shy. He found it...cute. HIs gazed at her with his luminous deep green eyes. "Hi." he greeted her with a smile. He was a Fireclan appretince, and a handsome one at that. He had a pelt of black with a white splotch that appeared to be a perfect star on his chest.

Turtlepaw jumped a little when she heard a cat say hi. Was someone really talking to her? She glanced up with her blue eyes. She looked into his eyes. Yes, he was talking to her. "H-hi" She said in a small, quiet voice. She stared at him. In Turtlepaw's eyes, he was a very good looking young tom. And his eyes were... Turtlepaw couldn't put words to her thoughts. She realized she was starring and she quickly looked down, her face getting hot. She brushed the dirt with her paw, erasing the tree that she attempted to draw.
((heehee. Turtlepaw has a crush now! Yay!))

Stonestream hadn't noticed the young she-cat moving towards where he was sitting. It was only when his gaze shifted to the area around him that he jumped slightly, his thick dark grey and black with white fur stood on end. He blinked, his silver-grey eyes suddenly calming. He looked very handsome, what with his thick fur, and his very easy going personality. It wafted around him, never seeming to disappear. He was a courageous warrior, and very easy to get along with. His FireClan looks seemed to take affect after a while. He was definitely not from any other clan. He watched her, examining slightly. He couldn't put his paw on what clan she was from. Not at the moment. But then again, he'd just woken up and realised his clan had left for the gathering, and without him. He smiled again, an amusement feature across his maw, it usually made other cats smile, just out of the air he had about him. He wasn't like Padpaw, always boasting about himself, instead Stonestream was a gentle, very calm tom with a sense of understanding for other cats.
Minutes passed and he decided he should probably speak first, as she hadn't said a word yet. He tilted his head, his ears perking foreward. She was a very pretty young she-cat, if he did want to admit it. He nodded slightly in greeting then smiled again. His tail flicked and he spoke in a deep growling rumble that was very popular, it wasn't his fault his mew was so absorbent and easily very soothing, it was just the way he spoke. "Hello, m'lady, how are you this moon?" he asked, his easy-going question wasn't hard to answer, unless mixed emotions bothered her. He waited patiently and quietly for her response, it wasn't every gathering he spoke to a new cat, he was usually with Blazeheart and Rawflame, but this time he couldn't find them. Not even Emberclaw was to be seen from where he was sitting. His gaze returned her her eyes, he wasn't staring, no he was personally waiting for her to respond. He loved to talk, but sometimes the other didn't feel the same way. He shifted his position, his large unusually big paws flexing as he stretched them. His haunches rotated with his movement, his whole body was a lovely picture, framed into life. [/blockquote]

((Sorry i'm really late >.<)) Lynxfang had stepped into the clearing, her pointy ears pricked up in alertness as cats began to pour into the clearing. This time, she intended to find the other chosen apprentices. It's been a moon, and no signs of danger from any evil the prophecy talked of had happened. She wanted answers. "Where are you Everpaw?"she hissed under her breath, trying to find the Mistclan she-cat. Lynxfang was also keeping watch for Cloverpaw, the Fireclan cat. In her haste, she accidentally ran into the Moonclan medicine cat. "Sorry,"she mumbled, trying to get past Appleblossom.
Tigerfrost sat near the base of the pillar that Haggarstar stood upon. The deputy's frosty eyes swept the clearing, giving each Clan a measured, warning look. He was alert for any signs of trouble, which seems to come lately.
Tundraheart followed the crowd of Mistclan as they entered the clearing after their new leader. She noted that many of the Clan cats had surprised looks as White-eyes announced that Puddlestar was their new leader. "Don't cause any trouble,"Tundraheart growled sternly to Lasspaw before settling down.
Another Mistclan tom joined the Gathering, though he wasn't in the mood to mingle. Something about tonight just made him feel detatched from other Clan cats. Most of his Clanmates had already began mingling with other cats. Raincloud spotted Jadefeather sitting away and padded over. "Mind if I join you?"he asked calmly.
"I'm bored! When are we leaving?"Padpaw complained loudly, strutting around the clearing. He gave a snort of discontent. He had not only hunted and trained all day, but he had also been given the duty of cleaning the elders' den, which he found distasteful. And just when he was about to get a nice rest, he was forced to join the Gathering (His mentor thought it'd give him a good lesson to be respectful to other cats, but it was futile). Most of the time, it was an exciting prospect, but today, Padpaw wasn't enthusiastic.
Blazeheart had padded closely beside Revolutionstar to the Gathering before seperating from him as the Fireclan leader jumped onto the pillar. So she decided to accompany Sunflash, a good friend of hers in the Clan. "Tch, I don't even know why Padpaw should be here. He'll only cause trouble,"she muttered to the deputy.

Jadefeather noticed one of her clanmates from her clan. She nodded lightly in greeting. She wasn't very interested in joining gatherings, but she enjoyed listening to the other clan leaders speeches, whether they were decent or not. She smiled lightly, feeling.. different, now that someone actually decided to join her. "No, I don't mind you joining me at all, in fact, I thank you. No one feels the interest to join me, ever," she purred, smiling and closing her vibrant jade green eyes. This was definately an unusual gathering, by far. [/blockquote]

Puddlestar nodded her head to Haggarstar. She relesed a confident yowl and listened as the clearing fell silent. "It is time for the gathering to begin. As a new leader I shall start. I am sure that some of you are wondering why the old medicine cat Puddleleaf is amongst the leaders. I was sent on a journey by Starclan, after Waterlily was promoted to discover my true self. Starclan surely had a destiny laid out for me. During this journey I received many signs and many dreams, and when it was announced that Demonstar was dead, I knew that it was time. Now please, I know this may be shocking, confusing and unfair but if I was not fit to be leader would the moon shine so brightly?" she gestured with her tail up at the luminescent moon, twinkling stars, and clear dark sky. " Mist clan is well, many new warriors who fought so bravely in the recent battle. The prey runs well and all is healthy." Puddlestar smiled and motioned for the next leader to step up. She breathed a sigh of relief. It was over.

Flyaway held back her amusement towards the younger warrior, Stonestream. It was hard not to find amusement when a warrior doesn't know you're there, their hair standing on end, and jumping at the sight of you despite the fact that you are both in the same clan. To add on to the amusement she had just gotten, he was looking at her in amusement he had also woken up late.. again. She said nothing to him as she kept her gaze on the young tom but her ears were listening to the leaders when they decided to start the gathering.
A deep growling rumble escaped his mouth, lyrics and vocals that took no hold on her but were interesting nonetheless. Still, she said nothing to him, her eyes turning away from him as she looked around to the other cat's in the gathering than towards Puddlestar as she began to speak. While it was not her problem about Puddlestar.. something about the she-cat leader but former medicine cat irritated her.
Finally she turned her gaze back towards Stonestream. "Amused and irritated." She replied, her voice soft and low so that she wouldn't be heard above the leader's as they spoke.
OOC: Sorry that this is terrible. DX

Haggarstar braced for Puddlestar's speech. When the MistClan leader was done, it was her turn. She stepped forward, giving Puddlestar a soft smile to let her know that she had done well. With a grave sigh, she spoke loud and clear enough for every cat to hear her, "DawnClan is doing very well. We have two new apprentices. Flickerpaw and Flowerpaw." At that, she stepped down. She caught Tigerfrost eying her and she stared at him back with a warning glance.
Nala stumbled when a young FireClan warrior ran on her. She was bewildered at first then she recoginzed who it was. "Lynxfang," the old spirit spoke the name wistfully, as if she remembered an old friend.
Everlast's gray eyes were proud. She was excited to be here. It was her first Gathering as a warrior. She heard her name being called in the crowd. Her ears twitched with discomfort and rolled her eyes as she spotted a FireClan warrior walking toward her. She had never dreamt that the cat she hated the most would walk up to her. "Hello, Lynxfang." Her tail flicked at the sentence for emphasis, "My name is Everlast, actually." She loved the look on her archenemy's face. That made her laugh. "Now we are even."

Lynxfang bit back a sharp retort towards Everlast, trying to resist the temptation to start bickering with her again. How she'd love to, but they'd get distracted. Why does shehave to be one fo the chosen cats?the Dawnclan she-cat thought irritably. But criticizing Everlast was not why she had come to talk to her. "Look Everlast, it's been moons and no sign of trouble is around. Are we still going to take the prophecy seriously?"
"Now why wouldn't any cat want to join a pretty cat like you?"Raincloud meowed in return with a teasing flick of his tail. "They other cats must've been blinded by the moon to not have seen you."

A mixture of unease waved off of Waterlily. Averting his gaze, Walldrop breathed deeply, but quietly. One would only notice the brief rise and fall of his chest. The tom laced his tail around his paws, turning swiftly back to Waterlily to give her one of his dazeling smiles. "So nice to see you again, Waterlily", he nodded politely. Appleblosso-.. Nala was busy with Lynxfang now. Please just hurry up, Nala, he thought with a mental groan. Blinking normally, he turned to Nala. "Once you're done with your duties, Appleblossom, please do tell me, so I'll now to stay out of your way". He smiled no more than he would for any friend. No reason to give off any more affection.
Derice- Rose pink orbs floated above the crowd. Spy-Der would be easily noticed if anyone payed attention to her. Only the best nose could scent her out, after all, she had been sleeping in an abandoned fox den near the Two-leg place. Her mostly white pelt was flashy in the tree tops. Licking her muzzle, she wished her little guest could see this...

Jadefeather shrugged her shoulders, shifting her weight to sit easily on her haunches. A small smile slowly set itself upon her face. "I'm not the one to keep a convorsation running. Not to mention, no one really knows who I am, they don't pay attention to cats they haven't noticed before," her soft mew whispered in the air around his ears, her green eyes careful, watching with a curious kindness set into them.
Stonestream shrugged, and watched her with a more distinct curiousity. He had realised this was one of hs denmates, but one he had never really payed much attention to. One that only a few times had been on patrol with. He grinned, a large facial expression that was unique, one of his own smiles that only he could show, even if others tryed. He listened to her voice, ears swivelling to her as he took in her voice. "Well I'm tired and exhausted. I woke up late and almost missed the gathering. I'm surprised Eaglepaw didn't come and wake me, she usually does," his deep, gentle mew sounded below other vocals. He was a senior warrior, and knew almost exactly how to hunt, and was a supposed expert at tracking things. Though sometimes his sense of smell wavered. He flicked his tail and looked back to the leaders speaking.

Waterlily smiled at Walldrop. "Hi." She said. She looked down at her paws, not really knowing what to say at that point. ((Grrr didn't know what to do.))
Twilightstar nodded at the other leaders and stepped forward. (Because this was started before all the apprentice ceremonies, I will announce that next gathering.) "MoonClan is doing very well. Lots of prey. Our kits our doing well and a couple of them are ready for the next step in their clan lives." She said, smiling down at her clan proudly. Then, she stepped back next to the rest of the leaders.

Raincloud gave Jadefeather a small smile. "Well, looks to me you're keeping up the conversation quite well,"he whispered back, trying not to disturb the other cats that were listening to the leaders talk. "Perhaps a beautiful night like this is all you needed,"he commented, looking at the full moon.
Padpaw was strutting around when he felt something run into him. "Ow!"he yelped, spinning around and glaring at a a young, Mistclan apprentice with cloudy white eyes. "Darn it! What are you? Blind!? Whatch where you're going"he spat, not noticing she was.

"So this is what you want?" Nala asked him simply. She won't let herself getting angry at him. Being emotional is not proper here surrounding other cats. They will see that as a weakness. Ignoring Walldrop calling her by her host's name bothered her greatly and deeply, but she won't let him see that. Ever. So, she walked up to other medicine cats, forgeting about the tom with midnight pelt and winter sky eyes. Walldrop... The name sang in her head. Stop it! She scolded herself.
Haggarstar kept herself silent, waiting for the meeting to be over so she could go home. No way she was going to tell anyone about two of her warriors' deaths.
"I take the prophecy seriously, but not you," Everlast scoffed.
