Swiftpelt couldn't help but let out a purr as he heard Whispersong answer his question and nearly blushed when the gray warrior licked him on the nose, making him smile even more with a flash of happiness in his eyes."Whispersong..." He mewed softly, gazing into the she-cat's eyes, whitch were more lively then even and forgot abou everything that was around him. Only Whispersong's words, followed by her wink, snapped the tan and black tom back to real life and quickly turned to follow her, only to trip midway and land in the water on his left side.
"Mouse Dung!!!" Swiftpelt yowled, srambleing to his feet and shook his body of the coldness, his tan pelt sticking to his side like a wet rat and bouned out of the water with a hiss. He flicked his tail, which looked like a stick and sighed, looking at his paws with a look of enbrassment. "Sorry....I..Slipped.." He meowed quietly, suddenly feeling like an apprentice and sighed again.

When Whispersong laughed it sounded as sweet as windchimes. "It's okay. Every now and then everyone gets a little more wet than they want to." She gave him a small smile. "Come on, do you think we should go back to camp? Or hunt something first?" She asked with a twinkle in her eye. "Anything to spend some more time together." Her tail curled into a candy cane and she bounced along the river bed getting more excited than she should. She loved hunting. She had better hearing than most cats and could hear a rabbit nibbling on grass in the distance. She pricked her ears and located his exact location. "Well?"

Swiftpelt slowly let a smile appear on his muzzle and with another shake of his pelt, padded over to Whispersong with a flick of his wet tail."Why not? Maybe all the running will help me Air dry?" The tan and black tom purred, brushing his wet flank against hers and flicked his ears at the sounds of something moving. Moving forward a few paces ahead of Whispersong, he croughed low to the ground with his belly fur brushing the grass and turned his head to the she-cat with a smile."Ladies First." He meowed, purring alittle at the tone in his voice.

Whispersong was off like a bullet. She could still scent that plump rabbit. She moved through the grass without creating a sound, her fluffy fur being blown back in the wind. When she got closer to the rabbit, she slowed her pace and crouched low to ground. She just wanted to kill the rabbit swift and quickly without having a chase. She looked beind for for Swiftpelts presnce.

Swiftpelt had already started to follow the gray warrior, his tail barely even touching the ground and his black paws gently touched the ground without a sound. Just like his name, he reached Whispersong's side with the swift quiet steps that he knew best and crouched as well. He could see the rabbit that was ahead of them and with a nod, slowly rose to his paws.
"Alright...I'll head down the hill and if you can, try to lead it to me." He whispered, quickly moving away from the she-cat into the tall grass and made his way to the bottem of the hill to wait for her. Let's just hope this works...Swiftpelt thought, couching near another patch of tall grass.

Whispersong moved silently, her belly fur just barely brushing the ground. Warm sunlight bea down on her back and the wind blew her scent away from the rabbit. His sweet scent wafted towards her nose. She took a few more steps, getting as close as she dared and watched Swiftpelt move into position. he rabbit seemed completley unaware of what was about to happen. Whispersong silently thanked starclan for the meal she was about to bring home. She was sure she was going to land this prey. She crept a step closer, then sprung.

Swiftpelt watched slowly as Whispersong neared the rabbit, his body tencing abit with his tail twitching slowly in the air. Moments like this would always keep him on the edge, his heart pounding with each step that the gray warrior did and his ice blue eyes were focused on just the rabbit. It's now or never. The black and tan tom thought, moving forward abit with his tail now just inches from the ground.
Without making another thought, he spotted Whispersong leap at the rabbit and on cue, bolted forward like a spring and headed toward the gray she-cat in strong bounds. His pelt that was once wet, now flowed without a drop of water and a smile showed on his muzzle as he saw the rabbit dead. "Well done, Whispersong!!!" Swiftpelt yowled, bringing himself to a stop and almost tripped on another hole. "Mouse Dung!" He added, barely keeping his paws on the ground. For once, he had to catch his breath. But even then, he had to smile..it was just the way he was.
