Gathering VII

Starryeyes surveyed the clearing and looked around for friends. Tonight she was in no mood to talk with cats from other clans, she just wanted to be with her clanmates, to be honest she wished she hadn't even come. She caught sight of Wolfsongs dark pelt and padded over to him and his sister. She noticed Blazeheart and Brokencyde. She sat down next to the siblings and gave her chest a lick, preferring to keep to herslef. She glanced up at Wolfsong and couldn't help but smile, but she looked down at the ground once more, her bright eyes not showing much of a twinkle. "Hi" she mumbled. She didn't exactly know who she was adressing. She glanced up the moon, then at the leaders, their pelts seeming to glow, as the moon shined brightly behind them.

Wolftalon put her tail around Leopold shoulders and flicked her ears back with half closed eyes. "Rawflame, please don't scare him like that." She spoke with an edge of warning in her voice. It was one thing to be playing around, but Leopold was not used to that yet. Her crystal blue eyes scanned the she-cat before smiling and slowly raised her bush like tail from Leopold.

"So How's prey running?" The gray and white she-cat asked, her white mark showed on her right shoulder, a crest of the moon. She was tired of staying silent, since of course this was a gathering.


Sitting at the back of the gathering, was a light brown tom with dark brown stripes, watching every cat that moved around with his lime green eyes half closed. It was Rainpaw, the silent tom of MoonClan and tended to keep quiet at this time. He never did like speaking with other clans, feeling as if there were no truth to this even though he trusted StarClan to no end. But yet the light brown tom knew that something was up, even before he reached the place and his tail lash at the tention in the air. It was more from the two clans, MistClan and FireClan, which seemed to get slowly worse with each breath he took. /So...what's next?/ Rainpaw thought, his tail lashing again with his lime green eyes still half closef as if in a daze.

Wolfsong gave Starryeyes a big smile. She was Wolfsong's best friend. "Hey." He said to her. He gave her a friendly lick on the head. "How are you doing?" he asked. He was in a better mood now that Starryeyes was here. He knew her from the first day he joined MistClan.

Waterlily smiled at Starryeyes. "Hello Starryeyes!" She said. Her brown eyes started to look around. "Have you seen any of the other medicine cats at all." She asked.

Frostcall sat a little way away from the other cats. He disliked socialising. The only reason he was here was to possibly sneer at other clans doing worse than his. His mismatched eyes flew through the crowd, and then, he spotted a beautiful she-cat. His heart stopped for a moment as he gasped loudly. Who was she? Which clan was she in? He didn't care! He just wanted to know who she was! He padded over.

"Um, hi. I'm Frostcall, what's your name?" he asked her, his voice sounding kind of nervous.

Oceandrop turned when she heard someone talking to her. Her eyes landed on the tom next to her. She gave a shy smile "Hi. I'm, um, Oceandrop." She said softly. She looked into the tom's eyes. He had such handsome eyes. The two different colors were fascinating to Oceandrop. She looked down at her paws. She didn't want to seem rude by staring. "So... umm... what clan are you from?" She asked. She hoped she didn't seem rude by asking. What if she sounded stupid? She shifted her weight from paw to paw.

"Huh, oh, um," his mind blanked for a moment. "Oh, yeah. I'm from MoonClan. It's nice to meet you Oceandrop." he stuttered a little. What was up with that? He'd never been like that before around anyone; especially a she-cat! He hadn't felt this way about anyone... except Songfoot. Seeing her die had left him afraid to open his heart (so maybe that was why everyone hated him so much). "So, uh, how's prey running in your clan? Any new kits?"

Oceandrop looked up a little bit, meeting his eyes again. "Umm... DawnClan is doing good. Prey is good. Not really any new kits. It a shame. I like kits." She said with a small smile. "They are way more fun than most the cats in my clan." She gave a quiet laugh. Her green eyes looked down again. Wow. She felt stupid again. She wrapped her thin brown tail around her paws, shifting her weight again.

"Hi Dreampaw of Moonclan, my name is Cloudpaw, and I come from Fireclan." The apprentice meowed, looking around to the cat Dreampaw pointed out. The tom was brown with black spots. Wasn't that called a bagel cat or something? "He looks like a tiger with too much stripes, except he is brown and has spots, not stripes." Cloudpaw exclaimed. She continued to look around, ignoring the tom that got shoved down by the female warrior. Not many cats were there, how disappointing. Well, if there was, they were hiding. Darn.

"Any cute toms in your clan? There's a few in Fireclan, but I don't know if they're here. " She mewed, her beautiful teal gaze looking around. Her long white tail wrapped neatly around her right paw, and she raised her head up slightly to see over the taller warriors that were here.

Blazeheart grew more relaxed to hear Waterlily's kind greeting and the fur on her shoulders flattened.
"I'm doing well, how about you? Are you the medicine cat yet?"she asked politely, glad that the tension between their Clans was over.

"Armf!"Padpaw's surprised yowl was muffled by the earth that entered his mouth. When he felt the pressure lift from his head, it popped out of the earth. His furry face was now covered in dirt and bits of grass.
"Rawflame!"he accused, not needing to see who it was. He gave himself a vigourous shake and the mud and dirt landed on the surrounding cats.
"You see who I have to deal with?"he complained to Leopold and Wolftalon.
"She's a devil from the Dark Forest!"the scruffy apprentice exaggerated, throwing a glare at his clanmate's direction.

Canyonpaw, the Moonclan apprentice, kept in pace with Rainpaw and meowed, "Chilly huh?"
He shook himself briskly to emphasize his words. "So you gonna talk to any of the cute she-cats?" he asked with a mischevious glint in his eyes.

An old medicine cat walked her way to other medicine cats. She sat down, making herself feel comfortable. Her apprentice, Shadowpaw, was besides her. Her purple eyes scanned the area, seeking for a deputy with a black pelt with splashes with gray and brightest blue eyes. She found him staring at her. It sent goosebumps in her neck to see him like that. She could not help, but to smile at him. He looked handsome tonight, his pelt glossy and smooth like a gentleman. She loved the way he looked in the full moon's light. It did not matter anymore to her what other cats thought about her falling in love with her young deputy.

Everpaw found Lasspaw and butted her shoulder against her shoulder. "Hey," she greeted her friend.

Haggarstar remained in her position, patiently waiting for the meeting to start. She saw Zeromoon, deputy of MistClan entering the clearing. She did not see Demonstar. Her paws tingled with dread.

Zeromoon jumped on the ledge, joined with other leaders. "Greetings," she told each leader with bravery in her voice. Haggarstar was impressed with how she handled this situtation. Haggarstar bowed, "Greetings." Zeromoon gave her a small smile and stepped back.

Stonestream of Fireclan

He bounded into the clearing, hoping he wasn't late for any important news. He was bad for missing things. He sat in embarrassment and licked his paw, running it hastily over his ears. He shifted nervously over to Blazeheart, nudging her shoulder and whispering in her ear. "Blazeheart, did I miss anything?"

[/color] before he settled down, awaiting her answer. He hoped it would be: "No, Stonestream, you haven't missed anything."[/color] He let out a shaky sigh and looked about at the other warriors.

His extremely fluffed up tail curled and relaxed, so it was sleek and it's normal size. He hated being late, but he usually was, even when he tried to make it to important meetings. Definitely leader wasn't his thing. Not even deputy. He hoped day and night he wouldn't be picked. He heard Padpaw quarreling playfully with Rawflame and he smiled slightly with amusement. It seemed every day they fought or had an argument. It was a daily thing.

Eaglepaw of Fireclan

She was already sitting beside her mentor, shaking with excitement. First gathering, always the most exciting. She mreowed to herself in her also nervousness, shifting closer to Blazeheart. A loud noise caught her attention and she realised Stonestream had finally got here. She rolled her eyes in amusement and flicked her tail, glancing around the clearing with eyes as wide as a full moon.

It was darker than she'd expected, and her coat shimmered occasionally when the light of the moon hit her pelt. She looked disbelievingly close to an eagle. She had all the markings. If only she had wings and a beak for a mouth would she be an eagle. Always the most curious, but never saying anything about it, she itched with readiness to talk to someone.

Loneliness then sauntered over her features, and she looked quickly at Padpaw. Would he and Rawflame talk to me? she thought quickly to herself. Her dark eyes flit across the clearing, trying to pick out a group of apprentices to chatter with.

Jadefeather of Mistclan

She sat alone, not interested in speaking to anyone, for she barely knew any. Her eyes were glazed with sleepiness, she hadn't slept since yesterday, and she'd only slept a short time. Curling her long pale white tail around her front paws she stayed, looking almost statue-like in the flood of cats, from all clans. She felt nervous this night, unsure whether she was safe. Sure it was a gathering, but things happen and could lead to danger.

Her eyelids dropped, but her hearing was alert for anyone speaking. She caught the conversation from Padpaw and Rawflame, but only faintly. She heard unreadable whisperings from Stonestream to Blazeheart. And she felt the rhythm of each cats heartbeat sounding like thousands of strong drums in evening air. She was calm, not deadly calm, just calm relaxing as the night grew on.[/size][/right]

Revolutionstar gazed around. "Should we start yet?" he asked gazing up to the cloud less sky.

Cloudpaw sighed, no, the gathering culdn't start yet! Then it would just be a time for leaders to chat, argue, and whatever else they did. She wanted to chat and have some fun, wasn't that what gatherings were for? Suddenly, she pricked her ears as two apprentices walked nearby.

"Hey you two!" Cloudpaw meowed, beckoning Canyonpaw and Rainpaw over. They smelled a bit like Dreampaw did, were they from the same clan? Then again, it was hard to tell, all the new scents seemed to bundle together.

"Well, I don't take much notice. If I did flirt with a tom or vice versa, my father would probably cuff me or them round the ear. He's like super protective because mom died when I was born. It annoys me sometimes but he's okay really. Although, I do hear Padpaw is quite the ladies man." she giggled and looked at Canyonpaw and Rainpaw. "Hi you guys! Come over here and meet Cloudpaw of FireClan. She's looking for some cute toms." she snorted, then, she looked over at a white, solitary tom. "Whoa. Check out his scars, man! They look fresh! Who's he?" she said to Cloudpaw, pointing over at Sorrowpaw.

[Swiftpelt]

Rainpaw looked at Canyonpaw and shook his head in amusement, swiping the tom's ear with his tail. "Do you ever thing of anything else besides she-cats?" The light brown tom asked, twitching his left ear at the sound of two apprentices calling them and turned his head toward them. Dreampaw and Cloudpaw, she-cats that he had never spoke to. But his thoughts shortened to the fact that Cloudpaw was from FireClan, which made him dislike the she-cat even more. Flicking his ears back, he simply turned his head back to Canyonpaw and meowed,"You go on ahead, I'll be right here." Rainpaw lashed his tail again, feeling the air rise with tention and couldn't help but hiss under his breath./Is it me, or I'm I the only apprentice who knows that something is wrong./ He thought, his tail lashed in the windless air.

Rawflame smiled whole heartedly and cuffed the apprentices ear. "D'aww, don't you think you're exagerating a bit, Padpaw?", she put on an expression of sorrow. Her paw scuffed the ground as she caught a peice of grass. Looking up, she teared up at Padpaw. She loved goofing around with the tom, but he could be more than a smidge on the annoying side. To his chagrin, she just smiled warmly. "Sorry if I scared you, Leopold. I really only act like this with Padpaw, promise", she dipped her head formally in greeting.

Walldrop pricked his ears at the sight of Appleblossom. She was gorgeous, despite her wearing age. In truth, he didnt notice he graying fur in any way. It just made her look, well, more like the silver warrior ancestors. He grinned at the twinkle of her violet eyes. Swaying his long furred tail, he got off his haunches and walked over to her smoothely. "Greetings, Appleblossom", he purred in a monotone. Though it may have seemed like a normal greeting, it carried more than words could describe.

Lasspaw mewed in surprise at the bump, but then collected herself. "Ah! Everpaw! How nice to see you", she mewed and swayed her tail onto her friends back.

"Hey, I'm just looking to make a few new friends!" Cloudpaw denied and laughed. But her smile turned in a little bit of a frown at the side, as Rainpaw lashed his tyail and hiss under his breathe. Did she do something to annoy him, Cloudpaw didn't even know the cat! "Uhh...Dreampaw was just kdding about the flirting part, it's safe to come over here, I don't bite." Cloudpaw retorted, trying not to let any annoyance show. Were all toms in other clans this rude?

Cloudpaw turned her bead as Dreampaw pointed out a cat with some new looking scars. "Him, I don't know, he's not in Fireclan. He must be from Dawnclan or Mistclan then!" Cloudpaw meowed, wondering how he got them. There was quite a few, should an apprentice even have that many scars?

"Hi!"Canyonpaw meowed to Cloudpaw, his tail waving. And he noticed his clanmate Dreampaw was also there.
"Aw c'mon Rainpaw, what's the fun in being all serious,"he replied to his friend's response to the invitation.
Before Rainpaw could complain, the tan-colored tom nudged the serious apprentice forward towards the two she-cats.
"Sorry about Rainpaw, he's a bit...er not social. But you'll get used to talking right Rainpaw,"Canyonpaw purred, giving Rainpaw a heartly nudge.

"Hmf,"Padpaw pouted, trying to look like he didn't care if Rawflame teared up at all.
"Not true Leopold. She harrasses every apprentice in the Clan,"Padpaw exaggerated again, giving Leopold a meaningful look.

"No, not much. Although Demonstar doesn't seem to be here,"Blazeheart replied to Stonestream.
She noticed her apprentice Eaglepaw seemed to be situated next to her.
"Why don't you go talk to an apprentice. That's the whole point of the gathering,"the ginger she-cat suggested to the young she-cat.

As if on-cue, a grayish white she-cat padded up to Eaglepaw shyly and mumbled, "Hi, I-I'm Cosmospaw."

A gorgeous Mistclan she-cat padded up to Padpaw's group. She smiled at them shyly. "Hi...my name's Mysticpaw." she meowed her voice was like the tinkling of silver bells. She was light gray with darker gray specks. She was beautiful. Her eyes shown emerald green. Her teeth were surprisingly white for a clan cat and her tongue was a marvelous pink. She smiled at the group. She gazed at Padpaw shyly. He's cute...she thought. No! She thought. I'm Mistclan and he's....she drank in his scent. And he's Fireclan! she thought

Everpaw spotted a group of apprentices nearby. She gave her friend, Lasspaw, a gentle nudge before she joined other apprentices. She greeted them with an easygoing and friendly smile, "Hey, guys."

[Swiftpelt]

"I'm not being ser-" Rainpaw began to say, but was nudged toward the two she-cats by Canyonpaw. The light brown tom gave Canyonpaw a short glare, telling him that he would get it later and turned to Cloudpaw and Dreampaw with a flick of his ears. Hearing the tan-colored tom's words, he sighed and sat down with a flick of his tail. /Yeah....Right./ Rainpaw thought, rolling his eyes before meowing to the she-cats."Hi."

(OOC: I love Rainpaw, he's kind, quiet and stubborn.

"Whoa, hello pretty,"Padpaw greeted Mysticpaw with a grin, showing his sharp, white teeth.
"Wanna go out with me? I'm free tomorrow,"he asked casually, waving his tail.

Cloudpaw smiled a meowed a greeting back, taking another glance at Rainpaw. Just then, Canyonpaw pushed him over. "Don't worry Rainpaw, I don't bite." She repeated, remembering the name from when the other apprentice said it just a moment ago. She then turned back to Canyonpaw and asked, "What's your name, you haven't told me yet." A slight smile played across her face. Silly tomcats, she thought, as Canyonpaw nudged Rainpaw.

Mythpaw lay on her own, as per usual, and listened to everyone talk.

"Whoa, hello pretty. Wanna go out with me? I'm free tommorow."

The silver she-cat's fur rose at least a mile high in the air. She whipped around, and saw Padpaw talking to 'pretty'. She held back an angry snarl in her throat, and narrowed her bright eyes. Uh! Stupid Padpaw! Flirting with everything that was female. Well, at least she'd seen the light about him now. She stood, and walked past, delibaretely slamming his shoulder as she went past, loudly going 'HMPH!' as she did.

[*~Blazeheart~*]

"Whoa!"Padpaw was nearly knocked off his feet as Mythpaw bumped past him.
"What the-? What was that for?!"the scruffy apprentice shouted irritably, seeing Mythpaw walk off.
"What's her problem?" the Fireclan apprentice huffed, still as dense as ever.

"I'm Canyonpaw,"the good-natured tom replied with a grin.
"Sorry about my moody buddy here. He needs to learn to lighten up,"the tan-colored tom added with a teasing flick of his tail towards Rainpaw.

"Well, well,"a drawling voice sounded next to Everpaw and Lasspaw.
"I see the jealous apprentices are here,"Lynxfang sneered. She still hadn't grown to liek the two Mistclan she-cats after the last Gathering.
Ugh, why did I have to be stuck with Everpaw because of the stupid prophecy?she grumbled to herself.

Rawflames eyes widened with laughter as Mythpaw slammed into Padpaw. Now, that was a she-cat with class and guts! Rawflame smiled and nudged Mythpaw kindly as she passed. "Doesn't seem like she-cats are impressed with you, hunny", Rawflame laced her tail along Padpaws back as she walked pass, giving him a meaningful look as she turns her head slightly. And in an instance, she was gone.

Lasspaw blinked as Everpaw left her. She quickly followed, not knowing what else to do.

Starryeyes perked up at the mention of her name and turned closer towards Wolfsong. But she still felt the same old ache that his feelings weren't as strong for her as hers was him. But she gave the siblings an empty smile and moved on. "I beleive I saw Appleblossom, Waterlily. Maybe you can go say hi, she's right over there." She flicked her tail in Appleblossoms direction. She shifted her weight and said, "Wolfsong, hows it been going latley? I've been so busy and out of it that I haven't had the chance to talk with you recently!" Her eyes shined bright in the moonlight as she grew more animated. "Maybe one of these days we can go hunting together, and talk gai like we used to."

Mysticpaw smiled at him sweetly. "If i were in Fireclan i would love to." she meowed trying to sound casual. He was just to cute to be calm and collective around. She felt her ears reddening slightly. "ARe you ok?" she asked in her windchime like voice noticing that he had been shoved.

Padpaw squirmed as Rawflame's tail trailed along his back, cause it felt all tickly. When Rawflame made the comment he just rolled his eyes.
She's just jealous,he thought satisfied, still not aware of what's going one.

"Eh, I'm fine,"Padpaw replied to Mysticpaw with a casual shrug, making a face like it was no big deal.
"Well, rules are meant to be broken so we can go out if ya want,"the scruffy apprentice offered to Mysticpaw with a grin

Mysticpaw thought for a seconds then smiled brightly. "If you want to i can sneak out tonight or tomorrow." she whispered to him.
