Fadingpaw wandered aimlessly around the outskirts of the camp. He was barely seven moons old, yet he had a confession to make, and he knew his Clanmates, let alone his mother, would not appreciate what he had to say. How would you react if your son revealed he was a tom-lover?
The young apprentice didn't know why. He just had always had an attraction to males in the Clan. Shaking the boredom and restlessness of the thoughts from his head, Fadingpaw wandered around, hoping someone would at least come and break him from this silent funk he had settled in to. He didn't even have a mentor yet!

black. lies. deceit. all relevant to each other, all present among this clan that she called home. the one place where everything was supposed to be all right and safe, was the one place where she knew that behind every smile, every laugh, was a dark heart, and the constant flood of dishonesty that lived in these cats. the she-cats body quivered as a shiver ran down her spine at the thought of how this group of cats lived. they all trusted each other! it made her sick. everyone had secrets, and every secret that was left untold was a lie, therefore every mangy, stinking vulture in this starclan forsaken clan was lying to her, and to themselves. even now as she looked around the den in which she sat within, foresteyes could no longer bare the fact that this was the place where she slept among the liars. darting out of the den like she had been bitten by something, foresteyes stopped and glanced around the camp for any sign of her clan mates. only one caught her dark, green eyes. a small apprentice who moved liked they were afraid of what was behind him, or in front of him for that matter. always skulking around the camp like someone was after him. foresteyes curled her lip at the thought of the lies that little brat held. bursting with the need to confront someone, she shot over and stood in front of the little tom, menacingly, unblinkingly. "hello fadingpaw ... " she started, the tip of her tail twitching, "shouldn't you be doing something useful?" the words slipped through her teeth quietly, her voice never reaching higher then a whisper.

As Foresteyes confronted Fadingpaw, the apprentice remembered instantly why he hated she-cats. They acted all motherly and proper when they had kits, but it was even more disgusting when they had their fierce attitudes out. Even if no one knew the truth about him, Fadingpaw was determioned to not let a she-cat, let alone a warrior, show him up.
The apprentice's grey ear twitched as he inserted his next comment in to the conversation. He took a small sniff and almost gagged on the smell of Foresteyes's bad breath. "Now that you mention it, I was doing something useful. You ruined that by coming along, crowfood-eater." He shot, his eyes narrowed yet a grin plastered on his tiny face. No bigger than a kit, Fadingpaw was a newer apprentice and still had the attitude he had learned from some of the older warriors.

"Is that any way to talk to a warrior?" Puddlestar's melodic voice filled the forest. She came up behind Fadingpaw and gave him a disaproving glance. "Is something wrong?" She asked more softly. Even in her short time back as leader, Puddlestar had noticed that Fadingpaw was a bit different. He seemed to fighting a battle inside of him. Puddlestar took a seat and curled her tail around her paws. She gave Foresteyes an apologetic glance for Fadingpaws words. She looked over in the direction to the camp entrance, and thought for a second. "Perhaps you would like to talk?" She quietly asked Fadingpaw.

You don't know how great the temptation is to just type "Fadingpaw screamed the truth that he was gay and ran off" xD
Fadingpaw almost froze under the glare of Puddlestar. How had the Clan leader sneaked up behind him without him noticing? The gray tabby tom leaped to his paws, realizing how close he had come to sitting down and admitting what haunted him that day?
"Sorry, Puddlestar, but I have nothing to talk to anyone about. I might just go hunting right now." He meowed, trying to sound polite, though he had to stifle a chuckle over the crowfood-eater comment. Being so young, Fadingpaw hadn't matured mentally yet, as she-cats did so fast.

Haha that's right! Girls rule!! Puddlestar watched him with knowing eyes. "fine go hunt but I expect you to bring back something Tasty for Foresteyes." she studied his expression some more. She knew that the young apprentice was hiding something. She could tell it was bothering him and was determined to convince him to let it out. Gently of course. "well, You are are free to talk to me at anytime. I just want you to know that I am bot one to judge and will listen to you with open ears and eyes." her hypnotzing green eyes probed him some more before being distracted by something else. "Go hunt. I'm hungry." she gave him a teasing smile and slowly walked away.

Hearttail walked in on the two cats conversation and saw that his leader was being the usual self. He saw an apprentice walk by his feet and could tell that something was the matter but he didn't worry to much about it and stepped up towards Puddlestar. "Hello Puddlestar, i'm here to ask you something. Since I'm a warrior now its obvious that I should get an apprentice." said Hearttail with a nice grin on his face hoping that the leader would say yes so that he could get his mind off of Wildstream's death.

Puddlestar stared at Hearttail a bit stunned. She never had a warrior bluntly ask a question like that before. "well, um I don't see why not. But give me a but of time. I must study how you act, and whether or not you are ready to have an apprentice." She gave him a sweet smile and nodded her head. "Soon, very soon." and she padded away. The sun filtered down in between the tree branches and the sunlight glittered off of Puddlestars fur. She pleasantly smiled again and walked back towards camp once again. She still worried for Fadingpaw.

Fadingpaw slunk away. Great, now he had to hunt for the mousebrain Foresteyes, and by the sound of it Puddlestar wanted something too. She could tell he had something on his mind, he knew it. That just made him all the more determined not to tell her.
As he walked away, he vaguely remembered Hearttail starting conversation with Puddlestar, something about an apprentice. Were they talking about him? Fadingpaw wondered if Hearttail would be his mentor, but he wasn't sure if that was good or bad. As long as he didn't get a dumb she-cat for a mentor, Fadingpaw decided, he would be happy.
OOC// fadingpaw's probably not needed in this thread for a while longer

Sorry I took a while to reply. Gah.
He should announce it sometime... I just need the right scenario to make his life miserable xD
Maybe when he eventually has a warrior ceremony, or is confronted by Pinestar, he caves and tells her?
