A lone she-cat padded through the thick territory of MoonClan. Over here the ground got less swampy and the trees were closer together. The only sound was the quiet crunching of pine needles under her paws.
It was dusk, and though the tops of the trees hid the color of the sky she could see the reflection of the sunset on their trunks. There wasn't really a reason why she was out. Did she even need one? She had felt the need to escape the busy camp and go for a little walk. Prey scuffled around her making her sharp ears prick instinctively. She wasn't hunting though, let them run.
A huge tree loomed into view. Pine, like the rest of them. It was easy the largest tree in MoonClan's forests, the trunk was at least eight trees put together. At the base of the tree was a two-leg shack. Long forgotten and rotting. The only reason it was upright was because of that monster tree that grew in its center.
Pausing a moment to stretch Nightwhisper extended her front paws luxuriously. Maybe the reason why she came here was because no one else did. Suddenly a crack of a brittle pine needle brought her attention to her surroundings. A cat? Here? Sharply turning her head behind her shoulder she caught a glance of the newcomer.

NightBloom's Blue eyes sat on NightWhisper. "Hello" he said smiling. The sun had almost already completly set. The Moon was rising and the world was getting Darker. The two kits blent in, only their eyes revealing their body. one pair of Green eyes, and one pair of Blue eyes

Turning around she saw two glowing blue eyes, eyes that she had grown to know so well. Feeling her heart beat faster in delight, she smiled at Nightbloom. She had come to be alone, but now the silence and the beginning of the night seemed more enjoyable. Not bothering to hide her smile Nightwhisper padded up to him. "Hello" she purred. "Follow me, did you?" she blinked, showing her teasing.
The sun sunk lower, allowing stars to come out. Looking up Nighwhisper caught glimpses of the sky that continued to grow darker. Nudging her mate, she trotted a few tail-lengths away. "C'mon, i'll race you!" she meowed, pointing to the Tree Shack with her tail.

Nightbloom watched his mate as she turned around. He looked in her eyes and she looked at his. He heard his mate tease him for following her, "i was worrried" he admitted. He smiled softly. his body posture rrising, The grass was fairly tall. It swayed Side to side. The sun collapsed on Nightbloom, making him glow. He followed Nightwhisper over as she said. "C'mon I'll race you" pointing at the tree shack. "Deal" He said waiting for when.

Nightwhisper breathed in the sweet air of the coming night, enjoying being out and about. She tipped her head up again to see the sky taking on a purple hue, dotted with the faint outlines of stars. "...Go!" she laughed and sprinted away. She wasn't exactly fast or a great fighter. A typical average cat, with a personality that could outdo any. Her muscles stretched then came together again as she moved her long legs and raced over the steady terrain.
Wind that seemed nonexcistent before whistled in her ears and she laughed again, with the joy of running with the cat she loved. The unwelcoming figure of the Tree Shack, now a large finish line, loomed closer into view as she bounded toward it. "I'm going to win" she teased with another delighted laugh. Who cared who won, this was the most fun she had had today.

NightBloom stood. Ready for the race. "..GO!" went his mates voice. She ran in from of him. Getting a head start. "Im gonna get you!" He chanted as he catched up to the pure black cat. 'hahaha!" he said looking at his mate "I will beat you!" he added making it to the Tree shack. He watched his mate continuing to run, leg by leg, Swiftly, Getting closer to the shack.

It felt so nice, to be running free without needing to restrain herself for something like, a hunt, perhaps. The sky above her had by now turned an even darker shade of navy and the forest started to come alive with all its night creatures. With another quick, silent bound, Nightwhisper felt her paws skim the earth and it brought another joyous smile to her face. Nightbloom, running beside her, was quick and powerful. It almost made her breath catch in her throught. How she was his, and he was hers.
He was slightly larger than she was and his legs propelled him faster. But she knew her own paws, though not as fast, could go on forever is she had to. Slowing down to a trot the she-cat breathed in slowly to slow her beating heart. "Looks like you won." she meowed, with no rudeness intended. "..This time" she teased gently.

Nightbloom smiled as the she cat stopped "Looks like you won" "... this time" Came from her mouth. He smiled again and walked over to his mate. He licked her head. (i ish dont know wat to say, lick or kiss??) "nice job" he said. The not was now a very dark blue. Thstars were shining in the sky, the bugs were out, flying, and making noises, to break the silence, along with NightBloom. He loved spending time with his mate, she had so much energy, and is funny, and spontanious. He never wanted to lose her. He never would.

"So what do we do next?" he said gently brushing her side. He layed down. The grass was soft, it felt wet, but was cold. The bugs were chirping as before. He looked at his mate and smiled.

Her beating heart finally went down to a normal tempo and she lifted her emerald orbs to the sky. It was such a beautiful night. Black shadowed pine trees bordered her view of the night and it seemed almost unreal. Just then, as if on que, she felt a soft lick on her head. Her heart fluttered again and she felt a small smile spead accross her lips.
"Thanks, your pretty fast" Nightwhisper replied, not one to become shy at his compliment. As he turned his own blue orbs above, she did the same. Stars twinkled, faint but clear, like little fireflys. She could see farther down by the horizon the deep oncoming black of the night, but the sky above their heads was a relaxing shade of navy. She found it neat that the moon only lit up so much of the world at a time.
"What do you think is down there?" she murmured, not bothering to shift her gaze. With her long black tail she pointed and flicked the tip of it slightly. "Down there, where the horizon is, past the MoonCave." she pondered with her own thoughts for a couple minutes and finally turned her head to the soft crunch of pine needles and grass. With a fond blink she saw him lie down and smiled back at him. It was times like this that she wished they never ended.

The night continued. Dark. The Navy sky appealed to nightbloom. It made him warm, just like Nightwhisper does. He enjoyed his time with her, and hoped he always would. "Thanks, your pretty fast." complimented his mate. "Your welcome, and now i shall shoot you a Thanks"He laughed. "What do you think is down there?" "Down there, where the horizin is, past the mooncave?" asked the curiosity of his mate. Nighty paused. "Err... im not really sure. it could be anything. Maybe a marvelous garden, no humans. made just for the cats to relax." He imagined it. An open roof to see the beauty that rolled on. The night sky, with stars, and the moon as bright as could be. "But as i said im not sure." His mind wouldn't stop thinking of how much fun he had with Nightwhisper it was amazing. Nightbloom laid on the soft grass thinking, smiling, and enjoying this moment, but he couldn't stop the sun and moon. The moon would rise and the sun would lower more, soon making the sky more black with more stars to shine with the two mates at the Treeshack.

Nightwhisper nodded at her mate's answer. Maybe she would find out someday. Or..maybe not. It would be nice to spend a night in that garden Nightbloom mentioned, without any twolegs. But she knew she would miss the family feel the Clan gave her. The sense of belonging. Leaving the Clan forever would be like dividing her soul in two.
Thoughts turned and rolled like waves of an ocean, and the she-cat found herself thinking of the past. Apprentice days, when everything was so simple and all you had to do was please your mentor and try to earn the rank as a warrior. "Remember when we were little?" she asked quietly, sensing the quiet vibe the darkness around them gave off. "You were so cute" she teased with a small fond nudge of her head.

NightBloom turned. "Huh? Of course i remember" he said Smiling. "I was so happy when i became an apprentice" he continued. He blushed at NightWhispers remark "You were to" He pointed out. The Night was still, like them. They didnt move. They just, well, talked. NightBloom Looked at NightWhisperer in the eyes. "DO you love me?" He asked. "Not.. to disrupt anything" he said softly. His heart waited for the answer. Hoping the answer wasnt bad, he crossed his paws. [lol]

It had been just a few moons ago that she had been in the apprentice den. How everything seemed so... right. If there was a battle, you were the soldiers, and never being the example. Love was easy, he liked her, she liked him. Now most things could be compared to the game of cat and mouse. Nightwhisper absently dug her claws into the soft dirt. Unsheathing, sheathing, unsheathing.. the upturned ground was black and rich and seemed to blend into the inky colors of her pelt. Ah, she remembered the first day she saw him. Nightbloom. He had been Nightpaw then, and she had been so annoyed when his name was the exact same as hers. Though she was slightly older, only a moon or two at the most, she had hated him from the start. She hadn't been exactly unique anymore, with another cat having the same name. Though when her little jealous fit ended she had finally gotten to know him. And he had been..well..charming. Cute. Funny. Nice. Nightwhisper sheathed her claws and with a subtle flick of her paw pushed the dirt back into its packed state. "Do you love me?" The she-cat lifted her gaze and found herself held in his depth-less serene blue ones. A slight shiver pleasantly swept across her body, and it wasn't from the slight chill of the night air. With a smile, Nightwhisper blinked her emerald orbs. "Yes" she replied simply. She could almost feel her soul open slightly, letting out emotions she had never expressed. "..What about me?" She asked. Her features were steady though one couldn't miss the faint tremor of hope that marred her words. What if he doesn't love me? What would I do? NightBloom heard shadie respond, she sounded confident, and sure of it. He smiled "Of course i love you" he said rubbing his pelt against her. "You know when im sad... all you do is smile and im happy again" He said looking at Night Whisperer, as she looked at him. "I dont wanna leave you.. So lets cross our paws." He said giggling.

Nightwhisperer was his love. The first day, when she, seemed to hate him. They matched, She was pure jealous. But then, She grew out of that, She was very nice, Beautiful, Sweet, Gental. Like a goddess.... a Warrior of Moonclan. Starclan help me the day Nightwhispere goes to a battle without me, I'd loose it if i lost her...

he heard her voice slow,and gentle, "and when are you sad?" he giggled. "When i want to" he said smiling at her. The grass blew ever so violently. Soon the simple breeze turned into a quick gust of wind. 1..2...3...1...2.....3...1 Counting each simple beat of it breath. The unerve of his mate made him quiver [? is that the right word lol] Turning to the treeshack, Red eyes like blood peircing in your soul. Shocking. The eyes burnt, they were hypnotising.

Turning to his mate he made slight gesture. "Its on." He said waiting for the first move, of either his mate or the rats. It was silent again, but the rats kept coming. It was like a mother and 1,000,000 babies. He wasn't scared, he wasn't even terrified. he was Worried. These were little creatures. But tough. What would come, he would see..

The dark tops of the pines brushed against each other in small comforting whispers, but nothing could drown out what was approaching. Dark bodies, at the least a hundred, came streaming out toward the two cats. Ah, so was this the reason why no cat ventured alone to the tree-shack at night? Yes there were sometimes rats to be found here..but never before had she seen so many. They seemed to be waiting..watching.. Red and black beady eyes studied the felines. Their horrible squeaks filled her ears...until.. "Its on." Two simple words. Closing her eyes for just a moment Nightwhisper called her racing heart and shallow breath. Claws out, ears back, she crouched low and but the weight on her back legs. "It is on" she replied with a smile, showing the tips of her canines. Green orbs scanning, she finally noticed a very important detail: there weren't as many rats as she had first thought. The fact that they moved together in unison, they seemed to be so many more. But..still too many for two warriors to fight off effectively. "Nightbloom," her voice was a quiet hiss. "We are going to fight the ones that attack us. We have to get out of here though. It's cold out, rodents from all around probably decided to check out the Tree-shack." Nightwhisper turned to hold his gaze momentarily before ripping it away to challenge the stares of the enemies. No matter what happenes... "I love you," she repeated. Her voice held confidence. She wasn't afraid to fight. But there was always and would be fear and doubt.
