Soulkit and his sister, Mystickit, easily escaped the over barrings of the nursery by Racingkit's distraction. "Just don't get caught!" He had warned them before attempting to fake his own death.
They had raced out of sight of the nursery and made it to the clearing. The gray, deaf kit entwined his tail with his sister's as he gazed around the camp. Every time he left the nursery, he loved to admire the area around him, for he was always cooped up in the den. He loved to get out and see the world, though he didn't know there was so much more than the camp.
He wished the other cats would stop to admire the camp. He always saw cats rushing to get everywhere, and he longed to tell them all about the beauty, but he couldn't. Maybe it was because he couldn't hear, but Soulkit thought the world was beautiful and should always be complimented. If he could talk clearly, he would describe the camp in the most beautiful, magnificent, calming, words any cat had ever heard.

Tigerfrost had nearly tripped over the kits on the way to the fresh-kill pile. "Great Starclan!"he exclaimed as he had enough reflexes to leap over the young kits instead of trampling them. He turned to glare at them with a low, stern growl rumbling in his throat.
"Be careful! I could've killed you youngsters!"he scolded, his tail switching. He wasn't usually this short-tempered, but today's duties seemed rush. "Does your mother know you guys are out here?"he asked, with a doubtful look towards the nursery.

Stormwing padded into the clan camp, carrying two mice. He dropped them onto the fresh-kill pile, glancing about to see where his friends had gone. Tigerfrost narrowly avoided stumbling over the kits, growling in surprise. He listened as Tigerfrost softly scolded the kits. "Does your mother know you're out here?" Stormwing saw the tom's doubtful look and knew it wasn't without reason. Kits never told their parents where they were. Typical kit mischief to be out and about without permission.
Stormwing trotted over with a frown on his face. "Tigerfrost!" He called out to the warrior. "Did you need assistance in getting these kits back?" Stormwing allowed a hint of cheerful joking into his voice. tigerfrost seemed a little too worried. Maybe it was just Stormwing's imagination. Stormwing glanced over at the kits. With a chuckle, he nodded at Tigerfrost with a questioning look.

Lunarkit was allowed out of the nursery (to be honest, she was sick of it now) so padded over and shook her head. "You should know you're not allowed out. You're not old enough." the kit said, before turning to Tigerfrost. "Tigerfrost, when are we going to be apprentices? I'm booooooooooooored." she meowed. "Momma says we should've been apprenties aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaages ago but has Haggarstar forgotten about us?" she asked him, flicking her tail. Flarekit and Morningkit both came out at the mention of apprentice, and they were all pretty big now, and bored out of their little kitten heads too.

Tigerfrost turned to see Stormwing approach and gave the tom a nod of greeting. "Well, I'm sure these rambunctious kits aren't going back in, even if we force them to," the tom purred, giving the kits an amused glance.
Then he heard his name being called out loud and saw Lunarkit come out of the nursery with a sullen face. The white furred tom chuckled at her outspoken complaint. He had to admire her spunk to speak our her feelings without any hint of doubt. "Of course Haggarstar hasn't forgotten about you,"he mewed, cuffing the young she-kit's ear gently with his tail. "She's trying to find good mentors for you as well as running a Clan. That's quite hard to do,"the deputy reasoned, though he silently agreed that it was about high time Lunarkit and her siblings entered apprenticeship.
"Tell you what, you help me get fresh-kill for the elders and I'll speak with Haggarstar for you,"Tigerfrost meowed.

Soulkit saw the furious expression on Tigerfrost's face and instinctively crouched down, whimpering, which, because of his inability to hear, sounded scratchy. He felt grateful when Mystickit comforted him with gentle licks on his ears, but also angry and ashamed. Not angry at her, but at himself for being cowardly. If I want to start training, I must learn to be brave like a warrior! He scolded himself. He longed to be able to stand for himself and prove he didn't need any help from anyone. Not even from his littermates.
Mystickit backed up, alarmed at being caught. Darn! We should have been more sneaky. She smiled innocently, almost shyly up at Tigerfrost and Stormwing, her tail still entwined with her brother's. "We weren't going to leave the camp. We just wanted to explore." She narrowed her eyes at the older kit, Lunarkit. "If you can be out, then we can. I mean, why shouldn't we? We're not gonna get lost. She looked up hopefully at Tigerfrost. "So we can stay?" Her bright blue eyes sparkled with pleading.
Soulkit allowed his ears and body to raise up at the feeling of three kits racing toward them. He watched them curiously, trying to figure out what they were saying. Lunarkit appeared to be complaining. Did she want to be able to leave the nursery? Or perhaps start warrior training? He allowed all of his working senses to focus on the conversation between the warriors and kits, at least he thought both toms were warriors. He could usually tell by how they act.
