Ivyrain fluffed out her orange tabby pelt. The heat was seeping into her fur, making her nose and mouth dry. She yawned, leaping at an overhanging fern bush. The tendrils trembled, shaking down a few dead leaves. With a casual stretch, she slunk further into the depths of the meadow, the grass soft underpaw. As she walked, she scented many things. Mouse, bird, even ferret. She was about to chase after a particularly strong scent when her nose picked up something else, more powerful. A cat was nearby. Sniffing after the scent, she searced for the source. Nothing made itself apparent. Am I being wathced? she wondered. then dove into the cover of the ferns.

Jay smirked wildly, he was so pleased he could laugh without hesitation, without fear without regret, it was all to perfect his plan of actions first with Nightwish and then Petaltail, but now he needed another one, someone new unseen, perhaps even a new clan, maybe a loner or perhaps a kittypet, or not, but either way he needed someone else, he stopped and froze spotting with his enchanting sky blue eyes a beautiful she-cat with a orange tabby pelt, he smiled darkly, another plan hatching in his mind, he threw them all away and padded out gently, "Hello" He said dipping his head politely, he smiled softly at her, "What's a beautiful she-cat doing all the way out here?" he asked kindly.

Ivyrain almost leaped, but a voice made her stop. Turning around, she felt her ears grow hot. "I...uh..." It was a young tomcat, his pelt a pale grey tabby. She looked him up and down. Likely not threatening based on his greeting, maybe friendly, even. "I was just getting away from clan life. It gets tiring sometimes." Sitting down, she returned the greeting. "I don' mean to be rude, but why are you here?"
Swiping a paw over her ear, she glanced at him a second time. His eyes shone an irridescent and strikingly blue hue. Stop it! she told herself. You can't fall in love, not now. Her friend, Tabbypelt, had been killed just a few days ago. She still felt sad because Tabbypelt had liked the thought of a tomcat like this. Ivyrain pushed the thoughts away and sat a little straighter. "I know you're a loner, but that doesn't mean I don't have rules." She knew he likely wouldn't understand half of that statement. Why bother? She wondered, then quickly shook herself and resorted to staring at him with the most blank look possible.

Jay smirked inwardly, his enchanting smile was still planted on his face, his beautiful eyes enough to make any she-cat melt, his smooth voice just added on to the effect, he was indeed the perfect tom, even his personality seem to match his look, he came off happy, polite and very kind. Jay smiled softly, "Well I do live here" He pointed out gently, which also wasn't true, he perfered to live in rogue cayon but either way it worked. "Oh I understand the rules, I used to be in a clan" he said, "I don't blame you for sticking to them, I would have as well" He said smiling softly, his wonderful eyes filled with understanding.

Ivyrain nodded, deciding the tom would have easily understood any clan rules if he was smart and had been in a clan. He's definitely nice, and seems to enjoy being here. Maybe I'll stay awhile... Settling down into a more comfortable position, Ivyrain swished her tail over the ferns. She'd tried to look innocent, uninterested, but that had long since gone to waste. She knew she was already liking him. Those eyes. Their soft, contented glow. She drew in a deep breath, willing herself not to stare. Puddlestar would kill her if she knew Ivyrain was here right now. Ivyrain didn't care. She had found something far better than any clan tom. The only tom she half liked was stingy and hated her for what Tabbypelt had done, even though she had nothing to do with it. She dared sidle closer to the young cat. Breathing in a small whiff of his scent, she caught nothing unusual. Good. The less trouble he was, the better. "What might your name be?" she hoped to StarClan he wouldn't find it offensive. "Mine's Ivyrain..." She gave a small, nearly inaudible purr, mor than happy to be escaping her duties.

Jay looked over her her orange tabby pelt was just lovely, her deep yellow eyes betrayed her, he could see it, between her look innocence and uninterested gaze was the even just the slightest flicker of attraction and that was what he was going to use to snag her. He smiled softly and dipped his head, "My name is Jay" he said leaving out the exile part, he grinned a bit more, "It's an honor to meet you lovely Ivyrain" he said politely, she was indeed lovely, beautiful even and he wanted her, oh yes he did.

A kind of relief filled her as she detected that he was interested as well. At least she wasn't pining over a tom who didn't like her. Shivering slightly, though not of cold, she allowed herself to purr a little louder. Licking a paw, she swiped it over her ear and gazed at the cat. He was definitely noticing her. Ivyrain dipped her head a bit. "Jay. What was your warrior name?" she twitched an ear in the warmth, barely conscious of the movement. Already, her mind was whirling, questions flowing through it. All of them were directly about this cat. Which clan was he from? Why did he leave? None of them mattered. Just the here and now. That was all that had ever mattered to Ivyrain. She curled her tail, unable to mask her delight. She didn't care if he saw, which he likely would. All the better to show her appreciation of him.

Jay let out a gentle purr that went through his whole body, he moved, powerful muscles rippled under his pelt as he did, he didn't look like the power type his slender form was alot smaller and skinnier then most toms but that's what made him look simply amazing, his sky blue eyes unmatched, his voice dazzling. The muscles went unnoticed till he moved but other then that he looked not that strong, don't ever judge a book by it's cover. Jay smiled softly, "Well my name was Jayclaw" he said, "I was named after my eyes and my fast claws that could catch any prey" He said gently.

Ivyrain curled her tail in delight. What a tom he must have been! A true shame he had ended up leaving the clan. She could see him move ever so slightly, his lean muscle flexing under is glossy silver pelt. Ivrain felt her spine tingle. Casting a swift glance over her shoulder, she spotted nothing unusual, nobody there. Turning back to her prospective lover, she gave him a purr, gazing into his pale blue optics. "Well...Jay..." she murmured, watching him as he watched her. "If you'd like, I can stay and talk." She pressed closer to him and made sure he knew she was happy.

Jay smiled softly, he watched her curiously, he was very interested in this she-cat, she wasn't like Petaltail, or Nightwish, she was purrttfect so to meow. Jay's sky blue eyes watched her softly, he watched her shiver a bit from a tingle in her spine, he could tell because she had been watching his muscles. Jay's grey pelt shimmered as the sun hit it, "Well Ivyrain" he said noting her liking for him, he could easily tell she was happy, "I would very much enjoy having you stay and chat" He said moving closer himself as well, he was very interested now, a warrior she-cat who claims to stand by the rules and yet is out here with a loner, but it didn't matter she was beautiful and in love with him.

Ivyrain watched the sun burning in the sky. Her fur felt warmed by its rays, but also by her newfound friend. No. Her newfound mate. Twisting to lick her chest fur, she felt no surprise by how she felt, or how he felt about her, evidently. If the tom wanted her, so be it, she wanted him too. She purred softly, and licked the tom's shoulder. "I don't have much exciting stuff happening right now; you probably know that from being a warrior. I do have a friend who died, and a slight problem though." She laughed inwardly. Only a little happening...whatever!

"I'm so sorry to hear that" Jay said comfortingly, it's always a big deal when you lose a friend, he wrapped his tail with hers and smiled gently, he already knew there was no denying her feelings, she loved him, she was trapped in his looks, his voice and most importantly his sky blue eyes. Jay did wonder what her problem was, "What is your slight problem, maybe I can help" He said gently, hoping she would tell him, another chance for him to prove himself, he was very good at this game, but to her it wasn't a game, and he was wondering if for him, it wasn't just a game anymore either.

Ivyrain coiled her tail, contemplating her answer before replying. "Well you see, I have never liked clan life as much as the rest of my clanmates. I was wondering if you could show me how to survive out here, in the fields. I've never been happy with the way clans operate." She hesitated, her heartbeat pounding in her ears. She gazed up at him, her fur warm against his pelt. "Can I run away? With you?" She hoped he had time for her, maybe he would be okay with staying with another cat, even though it wasn't what loners did. She purred hopefully, her eyes shining.

Jay smiled it was all so perfect, he was so glad she had already agreed to come with him, he was going to suggest running away anyway but this worked so much better, he smiled softly and nodded, "Of course you can" He said purring gently, he was happy to have her come with him, her pelt felt warm against his fur, almost natural, like it was meant to be. Jay was happy with Ivyrain, he made her smile so easily, it was just right, the way it should be. "I never liked clan life either" he said, "So much more free out in the life of a rogue" he said smiling, "Come let me show you" he said nuzzling her softly.
