The sky was a bit cloudy, with wisps and puffs of dark gray clouds rolling through the sky. But it seems Starclan has blessed the night, for the clouds never covered the bright moon that looked like a huge silver disk in the sky. Leaf-fall was slowly approaching and green-leaf gradually ending. So this day was the time the moon was fullest and brightest. Before, the moon had always competed with the star for dominance. But tonight was no contest. The moon was the light of the forest tonight.
Upon the earth, slinking figures were travelling and converging in the middle of the forest. Gleaming eyes of different colors shone through the dark of the forest as they all entered the light of the moon. Instantly, every cats fur turned a silver color under the night sun. The moonlight shone down upon a huge rock and the feline figures began milling about and around the rock. Wave after wave, cats from all four sides of the forest came in and coerced. Yet none approached the rock, for all knew it was the place only the respected and powerful stood. And those were the four leaders of the mighty Clans.
Friendliness, tension, fear, excitement all mingled and wreathed about the air. Some small friendly greetings were made, and some conversations were started, and some hisses and growls were heard.
Welcome to the Gathering.

Quietpaw swallowed nervously it was her first gathering, she had never been to one before and only heard stories of them but now that she was here she was a bit afraid, she had never been around so many cats, not even that one time the whole clan came to comfort her after the loss of her brother, before they knew she was now muted forever, there had been alot then but not this many, there was a cat from everyclan. She had heard her mother tell stories of past gatherings that she and Clouddragon, her father had gone to, it sounded exciting but now that she was here she was shy and couldn't get close to anyone she ended up sinking back and sitting near the edge all alone. Quietpaw looked around with her dark greyish blue eyes, she glanced down at her greyish brown pelt that gleamed, the bright snow white paws that stood out against her and the white tip of her tail that coiled around her tiny form sheepishly. Quietpaw looked back up at the sea of cats. ~~~~~~ Streakpaw wandered around, his lime green eyes searching to see if Beastpaw had made it to the gathering, his tiger stripped pelt hardly stood out with the other cats in the massive sea that seemed endless. He limped about with his mangled paw trying hide it the best he could but the amount of cats nerved him though he didn't show it to much on his face that searched for his friend. Streakpaw was surprised when he first got here, he had never been to a gathering before, he had heard stories around the camp and this was it, he was a bit excited. ~~~~~ The huge leopard spotted warrior of Fireclan had no reason to be here, Banditshard glanced around with his dark brown eyes, he wasn't very interested in fact he was a bit frightened of so many cats in one place, so much so he backed away from the crowd that he clearly loomed over, he was alot bigger then most cats but this was over the top, there were cats of all sizes but hardly his size at all, there was a cat here small enough to have been a kit but it was indeed and apprentice, he also spotted a gimby legged one that was tiger stripped, another small white and grey she-cat who looked like she was going to have a heart again and a smaller greish brown she cat that had slipped from the crowd just like him. Banditshard kept quiet and hoped someone would at least talk about fish. ~~~~~~~~ Forestlight wasn't an official warrior yet, but a gathering was just what she needed to get her blood pumping, she said hello to almost every cat that she walked by, giving a happy smile and a gentle look in her eyes, she hoped to make new friends and talk about what's happening in other clans. Forestlight looked around with her light amber eyes, she moved gracefully through the crowd, her mixed brown fur shimmered in the light a gentle reddish tint was hardly noticeable until you looked closely. Forestlight looked around for Raincloud, she had been padding with him, but must have gotten seperated. ~~~~~~~~ Hollypaw was frightened, she wondered if she would pass out again, she looked faint, first the badger and now a whole bunch of cats. Hollypaw glanced around with her stunning forest green eyes, they were filled with fear, her body shook a bit and almost yelped when someone brushed against her, she hoped it would all be over soon. She wondered if Walnutpaw was here at all, or if her mentor Everlast was around, she was terrified and hoped that she wouldn't faint. Shy, Timid and very frightened, the same as Cosmospaw, her blue eyes spotted the frightened she-cat who was just like her, white and grey, only Cosmospaw's eyes were blue and her fur was scruffy, and this she-cat was short-haired and had green eyes, Cosmospaw sat beside her sheepishly, they glanced at each other and both knew that they were both afraid at this point in time. ~~~~~~~~~ Hopepaw stood proudly in the middle of all the cats, she held her head high and at attention ready for the leaders to speak, her very light, pale blue eyes casted their gaze around the sea that surround her, all the chatting. Hopepaw's pelt was a light golden brown with much darker stripes, even here her pelt was covered with a soft moonlight glow. Hopepaw was now her normal distant self, she didn't need to drill anything into anyone's mind and with no tom apprentices around that she liked she was rather bored. ~~~~~~~~~ The twins were alone, by them selfs, one with an excited gaze the other with a miserable look, which one was which? If you guess the one with the excited look was Flamespirit you are correct. Flamespirit smiled happily, he was so excited, he loved gatherings a chance to goof off and meet other cats, it beats sleeping around, "Alright!!!" he shouted happily, Leafmask beat him over the head with her orange and white paw, "Will you be quiet" She hissed, but grinned afterwards with the goofy grin Flamespirit flashed. Leafmask let her blueish green eyes look into the crowd, she caught sight of some hansom toms she might flirt with later, she couldn't help it, it was a habit of hers. Flamespirit chuckled, "This will be fun!" he meowed happily.

a little smile played upon the lips of the gray peltedshe-cat, as she pranced, tail up, with the rest of her clan on her way to the gathering. no matter how tense the air was, or how cold the clans were to each other, petalwhisper didn't care. she just loved the feeling of being around other cats, regardless of their feelings or actions. in reality, they were all there for the same reason, and she figured, why not enjoy it? that's what she did. and heck, she wasn't even there yet, and she was already enjoying herself. losing her balance slightly as she tried to gracefully jump onto a felled log, she giggled a little, before jumping off the end and finding herself at the gathering spot, tail still in the air and an even bigger smile, though a glance at the unnervingly not so clear sky tore it down a few pegs. petalwhisper stationed herself near the leaders' spot, with places on either side of her, welcoming whoever please to sit themselves besider her.
----------- the fact that the moonlight wasn't shimmering off her usually slick, black pelt, made her come to the realization that she needed to clean herself. that could wait though she had decided as the sun lowered itself to the earth to let the moon take over. at sun high, this very day, hinder had been wandering through mistclan territory, not caring that that had almost lost her her life in the past. the thrill it brought was enough of a risk for her, and if someone did want to tango, she would merely high tail it out of there. she doubted they would recognize her anyways. her usually shiny black coat was now a dull, dark smoky gray and it hung off her starving body grossly. stepping lightly on the hard ground, hinder hid in the shade of the trees, making her way to the gathering, curious as to what they did at them, and why she heard such foul things, yet no sounds of bodies clashing, or the beautiful scream of a dying cat. pushing her way to a hidden spot, hinder sat down with her tail wrapped around her paws, not caring if someone saw her or not.

[bg=ff1db2][cs=3] The ginger pelted, pink eyed warrior she-cat of MistClan didn't streak ahead of her clan, nor did she trail behind them. She was proud of her clan. Duststorm was a warrior - with an apprentice, no doubt! She flexed her shoulders as she pushed her way into the clearing, nodding at her apprentice, meaning they could go talk to other cats. Her large eyes scanned the clearing - her mother had stalked off to talk to another deputy, Sorrowhowl and Mudfur had gone to talk to a group of warriors, and Clearpaw had stalked off to sit in the corner.
With a slight grin on her face, she trotted towards two other ginger warriors, Leafmask and Flamespirit. If she recalled, she'd met them a previous gathering, or heard their names in passing. She couldn't quite recall. The tom was being loud and his sister hissed at him to be quiet. She chuckled lightly as she padded over.
"Hello. Mind if I join you?" she asked with a loud rumbling purr from the bottom of her throat. They were quite funny.

"By all means!" Flamespirit smiled happily, he was glad to meet new cats, Leafmask huffed and turned away, much like Hopepaw she to had issues with she-cats, she hide herself more behind Flamespirit to avoid having to talk with her, her forest green eyes looked around. Flamespirit smiled at the she-cat, "The names Flamespirit, my what a wonderful gathering, so many new faces so many cats!" He meowed happily, "How are you?" he asked the she-cat his blueish green eyes shining.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Skyleaper padded into the gathering, he was by far the strangest of the strange, not a bird in sight he sighed a bit and gave a sad chirp, he looked around with his Amber yellow eyes, he flicked his brown tail the golden feather shining a bit. He smiled the white and brown cat wandered fathering into the crowd and wondered what they would be talking about this time.
Revolutionstar gazed at the clans from the Highrock where he stood beside the leaders from the other clans. He dipped his head to them formally, but he didn't dip his head to Twilightstar he gave her a cold look of disgust. He couldn't forget that her cats had killed two of his warriors.
[bg=ffbd4a][atrb=border,0,true][cs=7] Broad, muscled shoulders prowled forwards, slightly ahead of the clan it belonged to. Scars riddled the tom cat's pelt, and his burning orange yellow eyes showed wisdom beyond their years. Any cat who had not met him might have thought this warrior to be a much older tom, alas, he is not. Sorrowhowl of MistClan is his name. They made stories of him in his clan, of how he fought Demonstar and gained the scars he bears upon his pelt. It gives him an eerie, almost sinister appearance. His name does not betray his true personality, for Sorrowhowl is indeed a sorrowful tom. Only briefly does a smile grace his face for cats to see the real tom inside. Only did Dewkit and Lasspaw see the true cat he was inside - not for what he was known for, no! the tom was a caring, kind, sweet tom, hardened by the horrors his life had seen in the short moons he'd walked upon this physical realm.
White fur shook a few specks of dust from his pelt, and the tom stalked the clearing with his friend and confidant, Mudfur, a solitary tom, much like himself, quiet, withdrawn. Ever since Everlast... well, she was more distant now, despite them being mates. Mudfur was a very strong tom - a stoney visage and deep, throaty voice contrasted with Sorrowhowl - his nasally, slightly high and brittle voice annoyed him at times - he sounded like a cat much younger than he was, he sounded like a kit. He knew his voice would change with the years, however his voice was trying to keep up with the rest of his body. Since the fight, his scars had stretched and distorted as he grew, broadening shoulders and lengthening legs. He was becoming quite the looker, had he no scars, he would probably be the better looking out of himself and Mudfur, but Sorrowhowl was not looking for a mate, no. Lasspaw was his one and only. The blind she-cat had saved his life, and he loved her. He said that the moment she was unconscious and heading for StarClan, whispered it softly into her ear, head pressed against her like her life depended on it.
However, now was not a time for reminiscing about that, as always, a Gathering was for a spreading of news amongst the clans. Amber eyes flickered through the clearing as the tom searched for a cat to converse with. None of them looked particularly interesting to his shallow mind - no, he would probably make do with sitting down in the etheral light shining off his pelt and wait for someone to notice him. It was how it had always been - Sorrowhowl had never like frivolities.
A dark, shadowy figure carrying the scent of Moonclan silently crept into the clearing of which was the gathering. Shadowsong didn't like crowds or groups. She felt cramped and exposed; she preferred to be invisible. If she could have gotten out of going to the gathering, she would have, but she was forced to. Every medicine cat must attend all gatherings unless there is an emergency. Her tail flicked in annoyance. She didn't even know what was going on with the clans because she usually blocked out the leaders, but she knew she could not block out this one. Everyone would know of the death of Appleblossom tonight.
She shivered. I wish I could be in my nice, warm den. There I'm safe...and haunted. The young medicine cat pushed all thoughts away and warily padded around to find a spot to sit. She avoided glances from the other medicine cats; she did not want to be reminded of the fact that she was a medicine cat.
Breezetail gazed at Shadowsong with admiration. She was so beautiful! He thought as he gazed at her with his eyes of green. His heart began to do flips in his chest. He passed his marvelously pink tongue through his jet black fur. He took a breath and padded up to her. "Hi." he meowed
Revolutionstar gazed at his cats. They don't look happy. He thought sadly. Fireclan still mourned for the cats they'd lost. It shouldn't of happened...he thought. His heart was in agony from the loss of them. It hurt that they were gone. Never again would their eyes see the forest, never again would their ears be filled with the purrs from a clanmate, never again would the gentle breeze pass through their fur while they ran like maniacs, and never again would their voices fill the clan's ears with encouragement. That's what hurt him the most.
(Is Breezetail a Fireclan cat?) A soft, slightly cool breeze ruffled Shadowsong's black fur, bringing with it another scent. It was the scent of another cat. Of course, there were tons of cats around her, but there was one in particular that made its way to her. She ignored the tom who greeted her at first, simply looking in the opposite direction, but his green gaze seemed to penetrate right through her fur.
The hurt, solitary she-cat glanced up at Bleezetail, her tail sweeping in front of her single-silver-striped side. Her dark blue eyes were filled without expression. "Hello." she mewed. She didn't want to say anything else, but she forced herself to. It's only a tom. Get your head straight! You've talked to millions of cats without feeling anything toward them at all. "I'm Shadowsong." That was it. She couldn't bring herself to say much more; she never talked to anyone at gatherings. She just kept to herself. Let him say something if he wants. I doubt he will. No one cares.
Shadowsong wondered if he had known Appleblossom at all or remembered she's supposed to be Moonclan's medicine cat. No! Stop it! Stop thinking about it. It'll only hurt more...A thousand things ran through her head, fighting her and trying to bring her down.
(He's a Fireclan cat)
Breezetail gazed at her. Darn it all to heck! It's a dreadful shame she's a medicine cat..oohh if only she wasn't and she was in Fireclan... Oh well he thought you've broken rules before. "I'm Breezetail." he meowed with a smile. "When i saw you i figured your name was Hauntedeyes...because i know that when i fall asleep your eyes and face will be there..." he meowed with a smile. "I look forward to dreaming tonight if you're in it." he meowed sweetly.
Her paws were cautious, but unsteady on the frozen ground. New terrain was always hard to Lightpaw to learn and the leaves covering the ground only made it that much harder. Still, she had the warmth of her clanmates around her, their pelt brushing against hers every so often, guiding her in the right direction. It was her first Gathering tonight, and Lightpaw didn't have the wrods to describe how she felt. Nervous, excited, but more than anything scared. She couldn't rely on her sense of smell like usual -there were too many cats around. It would be just like the battle she'd fought in against Moonclan. Tonight, Lightpaw was blind. The yellow cat stopped, confused for a moment. Her clanmates had left her now, she couldn't feel their pelts around her or the warmth the emmited anywhere near her. Assuming she was in the Gathering place, the apprentice sat, her rump cold on the rock and leaves. She wasn't sure what to do at a Gathering, but she hoped she was somewhere near it. Quietly, she wrapped her tail around her front paws, twisting her head from side to side and straining to see.
He couldn't smell his apprentice anywhere. Nighthawk reached his nose up, scanning the ground of cats with his blue eyes. Dreampaw was supposed to be going to the Gathering, he was quite sure of that, but he couldn't find her anywhere. It was chilly tonight, and if his larger body was cold, he knew for a fact her small one would be, and if anycat was going to make Dreampaw warm, it was going to be Nighthawk. Rising from his spot near the front of the crowd, the black tom searched for the little cat, placing pawsteps carefully so he wouldn't upset any of the other cats. [bg=eed132][atrb=border,0,true][cs=7] Her limp still clung to her like disease to a rat. Her fur, no longer ragged like it was in the battle, was pure, clean, smooth, each hair in its place as it should be, unmoving. Her eyes, golden like the sun, scanned the crowd. She'd sort of wandered towards the apprentices and Nighthawk had left her sight. She loved him so much, but her father... He was disapproving in the biggest sense of things. He didn't like the fact she was in love with her mentor, and if he had his way, she'd be forbidden to even look at him. But thankfully, he wasn't the leader, and he couldn't control every single moment of the young cat's life. In a way, she knew he was protecting her because of what happened to her dear, dear mother. Lilysong died the night Dreampaw came into the world. Each kit before her died before birth, during birth, or shortly afterwards. Carrying Dreampaw was what killed the weakened Lilysong. It scared her deeply - what if the same thing happened to her? Would she die, leaving her kits and Nighthawk without a mother or a mate?
She shoved the thought deep inside and locked it away, never to be seen again. She needed to remain optimistic, for both herself and her father. She loved him dearly, but he was very cautious. She loved him, and defended him from the accusations he received daily. It was cruel, life was cruel, but Dreampaw needed to make it better, to survive until the day StarClan called her to their ranks to leave the land and watch over her clan. As she paused to think about this, her eyes wandered through the crowd, eventually spotting Nighthawk. Had she been in better condition, she would have dashed over, but instead, the youngster hobbled over with a lop-sided grin on her face.
When she reached him, she purred loudly, and pressed herself against his warm pelt. She drank in his scent and closed her eyes, rubbing her head against his shoulder. She remembered when she was tiny compared to him. She was growing fast, and becoming a beautiful young cat, just like her mother, the clan said. She was beautiful; Lilysong had an almost unearthly beauty that had certainly been passed to her daughter. The only thing Dreampaw had inherited from her father was her unending stubbornness and almost ferocity when defending her father or when someone asked about her mother. Otherwise, she was perky, happy, if a little shy. Her floppy, useless tail drooped behind her, unable to entwine itself with Nighthawk's tail like most cats would have done had they had such a handsome tom by their side. Her golden orbs looked up at Nighthawk, the moonlight dancing in them gently as she purred. It seemed like she could not find her voice tonight. Perhaps she was just unable to think of something to say to her to-be mate (she hoped). Then her gaze shifted from the tom to the sky.
"It's a beautiful night, isn't it Nighthawk?" she meowed, fluffing herself up a little in the chill of the leaffall night. The trees whistled gently as the breeze carried itself through the cats like the spirits of their ancestors joining them on this night of peace and prosperity before the dark, vice like grip of leafbare joined them to take the lives of cats and steal away the prey in the night so cats grew hungry, unable to feed even the elders. Those days, Dreampaw knew not of - yes, she was born in the leafbare last, but she was so young she could not recall the pain and the suffering of those cold, dark moons in which her mother passed into StarClan.
"I wonder how FireClan are doing after the fight." she meowed absent-mindedly. She did not really care how they were, just the cats she had met in previous gatherings whom she had grown to like. She also wondered who the tom was standing in Haggarstar's place. It was certainly not the deputy, Tigerfrost. Tigerfrost was white with black stripes, this tom was grey and white. Her eyes were cruious as she looked onwards, her head tilting slightly as she watched him. He was talking with the other leaders, but Dreampaw's hearing was not so good she could make out what they were saying.
The wind carried their speech from them to her, and she caught 'Haggarstar' and 'dead'. Her heart stopped in sorrow for the great leader who had led DawnClan so well. She looked over at some DawnClan cats. They seemed somber in their body language; they were strong, quiet, but the deep sorrow flew from them like a flock of starlings in the dusky skies of greenleaf. She wondered how Haggarstar had died. In only the previous gathering the black she-cat had looked strong, and healthy, but Dreampaw did suppose cats could go downhill in the blink of an eye. It was sad.
Her eyes again directed their gaze to the night sky. As she studied it, she saw a moving star. In her confusion at this star, she watched it as it ran across the sky towards the moon, passing the other StarClan cats. Who was that, the apprentice wondered in her mind, studying it's movements. It was straight, as straight as the flight of a peregrin when it stooped to catch a bird or a mouse. Too straight, for her liking anyway. As she watched, another star fell, and she gasped. Was StarClan weeping tonight, weeping for the lost leader, or weeping for what was to come to the clans? She gulped, and shifted her paws. They were numb from the cold.
Shadowsong was taken aback by the Fireclan warrior's words. She looked down at her paws shyly. She did not think of herself as being pretty, or even attractive, so she didn't know who this cat thought he was fooling. Besides, she didn't know him, and he didn't know her; she hated it when cats acted as though they knew her. Knew who she was and why she acted the way she did. They were all wrong! No one cared about her. Not even, Breezetail who stood before her.
Shadowsong was all alone in the world with walls all around her, trapping her. She had no way to get out and no way to let anyone hear her cries of pain. Only if someone knocked them down would they truly show they cared enough, and she knew there would never be anyone. She still kept her gaze downward. This cat could not even begin imagine everything she had experienced in her short, little life-span, for he probably had the luxury of having a perfect warrior life. One without pain. At least the amount she had felt. "I'm sure you say that to all the she-cats." She glanced up, feeling a little brave, though there was hardly any emotion or expression upon her face. "What's the matter, can't find a mate in your own clan?" Her voice hinted sly amusement.
She loved teasing other cats, especially toms. They were easy. Hmm....she didn't feel any better, but she was starting to feel different emotions again. Maybe getting out of the camp was good for her.....or maybe her mind was messing with her again. Whichever, she shook the thoughts away.
Frostspeck ((Dawnclan)) was taking in the other cats around him. He was impartial to the other clans and chatted with cats from other clans but never for long. He was measuring each cat with a trained eye. If he ever needed to he would at least recognize these cats. Even if there was a peace, he figured he should get to know the other cats if only to know who he may or may not face again. He glanced around to check to see where his other clanmates were. His eyes ran over a few he knew, like Gingerpelt, who was padding through the crowd. All his other clan cats were solemn, for the most part due to Haggerstar's death. Frostspeck sent a silent pray to StarClan for his dead leader, then returned to scoping out the cats.
Gingerpelt's ((Dawnclan)) blue and green eyes ran over the group of cats. She found herself very interested in the other clan cats. There were so many cats of different sizes and shapes and colors. No two cats looked exactly the same. She took in the sight in awe. She loved coming to gatherings. Every time she came she found herself captivated by all the cats. She sat on a small stone facing the group of cats. She jumped from the rock and padded through the cats taking in all the different scents and sights. She saw some of her own clanmates in mourning for Haggerstar and she grew depressed at the thought of her leaders death but she shook the depression from her ginger pelt and decided the best way to honor Haggerstar's memory was to have a happy life.
Smokypelt ((Moonclan)) was not very comfortable. He wasn't used to having so many scents and cats at the same place. He was glad to have been able to come to the gathering but he found himself getting lost in the crowd of cats. He didn't know any cats from other clans. His green eyes scanned the cats with mock interest. His thoughts drifted to what the future might hold for him. The cats he talked to at this gathering may end up facing him in a fight if things between the clans became rocky. He didn't like that thought, so naturally he liked to stay within the camp when gatherings came around. He was sitting around his own clan cats but he saw most had branched out. He fidgeted where he sat. For one reason or another, he was pretty sure he'd end up sitting here the entire gathering. His gray fur bristled whenever a cat from another clan's scent came within sight of him. He was definitely on edge.
The pure-white leader shifted from paw to paw in her spot with the leaders. She tried to ignore the glare that Revelutionstar sent her way, but it bothered her and made her fur prick. She tried to keep her mind off it by looking down at the cats mingling. She felt some what alone up there. She wasn't on good terms with most of the leaders and it was obvious they wouldn't let it be water under the bridge. She really couldn't blame them. She had made some mistakes. She did not want a clan to lose a life. The blood might not of been on her paws, but it was her clan... her responsibility.
Graystorm attempted to rid the nervousness growing in his belly. He felt this way every time, not for what happened at the gathering, but what gatherings reminded him of. It was on a full moon his sister died, Silverpaw was too young to go to StarClan when she did. Twitching his tail, Graystorm shoved his fear away and walked through the swarming mass of cats. Each cat held a distinct smell, none of witch he recognized. He could make out each clan, but he was never sure witch cat was witch at gatherings. Keeping to him self, Graystorm sat him self down near a group of RiverClan cats.
Graystorm looked up towards the leaders and where they sat. Each gathering was the same, the same cats arguing over relatively the same topics. Keeping his long tail wrapped around his paws, Graystorm looking around the clearing, eying each of the cats. There were a few apprentices that he had never seen before, but many of the cats he has seen at the gatherings almost every single full moon since he'd become warrior. Closing his eyes, Graystorm blocked out the buzzing noise and it became a numb sound in the back of his head.
Breezetail grinned at her comment. "There are a few hopefuls." he meowed with a smile. "None quite as pretty as you though. They all add up to nothing compared to you." he meowed honestly. Never in his life had he seen a she-cat that made him feel this way before. "Meet me tonight." he meowed hopefully. His eyes gazed inot her own pleadingly. "I just wanna get to know you..." he moewed
His coat gleamed silver under the night sky, though as the moonlight bathed his pelt in its glorious white light, it seemed to hold a crimson hue within the silver color. His tail was flicking nervously. This was his first Gathering as a leader, and he was very doubtful still. The duty was thrust upon him unexpectedly. Now he was at the head of the Clan, ready to face the toehr Clans and proclaim himself as the new leader. Will he be accepted by the others? Or will they look upon him like some ignorant kit, ready to take advantage of the new leader. I won't let that happenhe vowed to himself, though was still apprehensive. He approached the rock. Taking a deep breath, the new Dawnclan leader lept lightly onto the rock beside the other leaders. He almost let out an audible gasp as the view atop took him by surprise. So many cat! So high up! He had never expected it to be so...well intimidating. Zephyrstar gazed at the other leaders with slight wariness and dipped his head politely. "Um...I'm Zephyrstar, new leader of Dawnclan. Nice to meet you,"he meowed, though feeling a bit foolish by this childish greeting. So much for first impressionhe thought grimly. Twins came from the side of Fireclan, weaving through the cats. Their steps matched along with their flicking tail. They could have been a mirror pair, if not their eye color was different. And if one looked closely, their body figures are slightly different. One was more muscular while the other was lither and more graceful in her steps. Thus entered Whirlwind and Whirlpool. Whirlwind was the one with yellow eyes like the warm sun, while Whirlpool possessed blue eyes like the calm waters. They stuck close togther, like an inseperable pair. However, it didn't last too long. Whirlwind gently gave his sister and lick around the ears and murmured, "I'm going to find Meadowcloud, is that okay?"Whirlpool gave her brother a sheepish smile. "Sure, I don't mind."she replied, giving Whirlwind a playful flick of her tail. Whirlwind gave her a grateful nod and whisked away. Whirlpool sighed sadly when her brother was out of earshot. She was happy Whirlwind found someone who he cared for besides her. He often talked about Meadowcloud and she was happy for her brother. But sometimes, she missed the days when she did everything with her twin. The beautiful gray she-cat stood alone in the clearing, unsure what to do.
Graystorm opened his eyes at last, letting the noise of the gathering wash over his senses once again. Things had changed in only a few moments, there was now a she-cat sitting alone in the clearing, just like him, looking lost. The other cats had managed to move around them and many were murmuring at the new DawnClan leader who had now taken their spot among the others. Graystorm looked up at the new leader, he looked nervous as he greeted the other leaders.
Taking his eyes off the four leaders Graystorm's eyes found the gray she-cat who was sitting fairly close to him. Her eyes were wandering around the clearing too, possibly looking for a cat she recognized. The cat was beautiful, like no one Graystorm had ever seen in MistClan. By her scent he noticed that she was a warrior of FireClan, but he couldn't recall her name. Graystorm felt his stomach flip and his heart begin to beat faster. Ignoring these he got up, knowing that he should get away from her as soon as possible. Silverpaw had described this feeling before, she said it was... love. But how could he love a FireClan cat, he'd never even met her before? It was impossible and Graystorm wasn't about to let the problem get any worse.
In his fumble to get away from her, Graystorm ran into the gray she-cat herself and stumbled backwards until he was far enough away. Graystorm held his breath trying to rid him self of the awful feelings emerging in his stomach.
Notes: Oh god... Graystorm is such a girl >.<
((Lol XD he's soo cute ^^))
"Ow!"Whirlpool yelped in surprise as she felt a presence hit her in the flank. She stumbled but managed to keep her footing as she maintained her balance. She whipped her head to see that she was nose to nose with another tom. The first thing she noticed was his eyes. Such unusual eyes...They seemed yellow yet a hint of green flashed through it, reminding her of a calm meadow.... Whirlpool blushed as she realized she was still awkardly so close to the tom and quickly stepped back. His scent told her he was Mistclan, and felt even more uncomfortable that she had been so close to him. "Erm...sorry..."the gray she-cat mewed softly, her blue gaze quickly looking down. Her paw shuffled the ground in a nervous way, and her white tail tip flicked the ground in a nervous manner. She tentatively looked up, only to feel her heart leap a bit at the sight of a quite handsome gray tom. Why did her heart beat so fast?
Revolutionstar gave the new leader a smile and a respectful dip of his head. "I'm sure you'll do Dawnclan wonders." he meowed with a reasuring smile.
Graystorm watched as the gray she-cat took a step back. She definitely looked embarrassed, Graystorm noticed this much, but Graystorm couldn't understand why. She hadn't been the one to cause the collision in the first place. Graystorm opened his mouth to say something harsh but stopped. He opened his mouth again but nothing came out. Graystorm stared at the she-cat across from him. He couldn't think of one thing to say, not something mean, not something nice. She reminded him so much of his sister, but he still couldn't say a thing.
'Erm...sorry...' The pretty she-cat murmured, and quickly looked down. Graystorm eyed her warily. "Ah..." He mewed, wincing at his unability to speak properly. He just nodded quickly, still unable to speak. He glanced quickly to were the leaders were standing, hoping that one of them would begin the meeting before he made a fool of him self.
Graystorm waited but the call never came and he had to turn his eyes back towards the she-cat with the pretty blue eyes. "Its...alright." He mewed, his heart pounding. "It was my... fault." If any of his clan mates saw him now, he was sure they'd be shocked. He never really spoke more than three words on average to any cat, let alone a she-cat from FireClan.
Graystorm took a deep breath, trying to slow his heart beat down but it didn't work. There was something inside of him that he couldn't control and he knew he'd have to see this she-cat again. If he didn't he was sure to go crazy.
"My name..." He mewed, but stopped uncertainly and unsure if this cat really wanted to talk to him. He looked away quickly and muttered. "Graystorm."
An uncertain yet grateful smile traced his muzzle as he nodded his head towards the Fireclan leader. He was glad the tom acknowledged his new leadership, despite the short notice. He just hoped this Gathering would turn out smoothly too. Whirlpool's ears were flattened down on her head, full of uncertainty as to how this tom would react. He seemed to look at her coldly, without speaking a word. Just a curt nod. It made her feel....insignificant. Her heart felt a bit heavy. For some reason she wanted this tom to like her....yet he seemed indifferent to her. "It was my... fault.He spoke! Her blue eyes lifted up to meet his, a tentative smile crossing her lips. "It's okay. It happens. This place is very crowded anyways, so you're bound to run into someone,"the gray furred she-cat reasoned, her tail flicking. Grayfrost... The name sang in her mind, like a echo that she always wanted to hear. It was a nice name, and suited the gray-furred tom. "Um, my name is Whirlpool,"the Fireclan she-cat replied quietly. She tried not to stare at the tom too much as she kept her gaze wandering a bit, but it always returned to his handsome stature.
((You got his name wrong xD Its GraySTORM, not Grayfrost. Frost was what it originally was, but I had to change it for another site and decided to change it here as well so I wasn't so confused xD))Graystorm nodded quickly at her words. He'd often seen other cats, usually not him, run into others. Sometimes it brought arguments but sometimes it was filled with laughter and friendly chat. When she spoke her name, Graystorm's heard began to beat even faster, if possible and soon he was twitching his tail. It hurt, to have his heart contracting this way, knowing that soon the gathering would be over and he wouldn't be able to see her again until the next full moon. Unless... Graystorm shook the thought away before it could form more than it already had.
Whirlpool... It was a pretty name, seemed to suit the she-cat well. Graystorm glanced back at the leaders, almost willing them to start so he had an excuse not to speak. They still stood there, talking among them selves and watching over the clan, still not giving the call Graystorm wanted to hear most. He turned his gaze back to Whirlpool to see her looking right back at him. Confused, Graystorm cocked his head to the side and stared back for a few moments. Her eyes were a beautiful blue color, they reminded him of the river when it wasn't fast enough to turn white.
(sorry, I didn't see your post)
The black medicine cat lifted her gaze to the Fireclan warrior. He seemed sincere, and she couldn't help but long to be wanted.....but she couldn't. She had begun to believe that Starclan destined her to never love anyone. That's why her family were killed by wolves, leaving her alone. That's why she was told to be a medicine cat. That's why Appleblossom was......dead. Shadowsong twitched her tail, looking away, her eyes becoming cold. "No one cares. If there are she-cats in your own clan, go to them. I'm nothing special, trust me. Besides, I've already chosen not to betray my clan, so I'm not going to go back on that promise." Her meow was calm, but there was a heavy feeling of seriousness with a tiny hint of sorrow, though she controlled it well. Appleblossom was dead; there was nothing she could do about it.
The lithe shadow did not want to move on. She had not wanted to be a medicine cat and thought she was a horrible apprentice to Appleblossom, but it was too late. There was no going back. She couldn't just abandon her clan, especially not with Leaf-bare coming along the corner. It was up to Shadowsong to protect her clanmates, no matter how they felt about her.
Breezetail gazed into her beautiful eyes. "I'm not gonna give up so easily." he meowed after a moment of silence. "I can't and i won't." he meowed "I know you want to love someone and you want someone to love you...i want the same thing." he confessed.
