the warm sunlight filtered through the canopy of trees above, heating up the tom's dark brown fur. he padded lightly through the forest, his steps light and graceful, his fluffy fur swishing back and forth as he moved. the tom approached the thunderpath carefully. even though it was hardly used, thunderpaths were always a threat to be around. raincatcher jumped on a smooth rock and settled down with his head on his paws. he had been hunting and patrolling the borders since dawn, and finally gotten the chance to relax. the roaring of an upcoming monster alerted the tom's senses, but he made no attempt to move from his rock. he was far enough away from the thunderpath that the monster wouldn't even notice him, and it didn't. it soared past, without a glance towards him. raincatcher chuckled at the monster's obliviousness, and lay his head back down on his paws. his light yellow eyes flickered closed, a yawn escaping his lips. he was about to settle into a peaceful sleep when a rustling noise distracted him. a cat was approaching. raincatcher raised his head, his eyes still halfway closed, and waited for the cat to come into sight.

Leafmask wandered out of camp, she was upset that Flamespirit wasn't doing his job and coming out hunting with her, but she couldn't blame him, he was helping out someone else and she couldn't tear her twin away for such a selfish reason even though she wanted to. Leafmask glanced around with her forest green eyes, the sunlight seeped through the holes in the treees showing off her bright ginger orange fur, her snow white paws and her white muzzle, nose and tail tip. She flicked her tail from side to side almost swaying it as she did, her eyes searched for any signs of prey anywhere. She ended up catching a two mice and wanted to get a third for herself, Leafmask wandered out rustling a bush as she did so, she padded out and spotted a dark brown pelt sitting on a rock, light yellow eyes glanced towards her as she stared back at the tom. She felt instantly flirtly, but resisted only because she was supposed to be hunting not flirting with toms.... yet. "Hi" Leafmask said quietly.

the sunlight flickered into raincatcher's eyes, causing him to squint in discomfort. he couldn't wait for the middle of newleaf, where the sun wouldn't be as hot as it was now. he blinked once, and recognized the familiar pelt of leafmask. he suddenly felt a bit embarrassed, that the other warrior caught him lounging on a rock instead of doing something useful like hunting. Hi. leafmask said to him, and he nodded in reply. the tom slid off his rock, stretching luxuriously when his paws hit the ground. he unsheathed his claws and dug them into the pristine earth beneath them, and then sheathed them again.
"hey leafmask. catch anything today?" he asked, sounding cheerful as he took a few steps closer to the she-cat.

Leafmask noticed he had been lazing off, she didn't mind rules were made to be bended a little, besides he was a tom and a hansom one at that so she wouldn't say a word. She put on a small smile, she sat down and curled her ginger orange tail around her and looked at him with her forest green eyes. "I caught two mice" She said, remembering she had caught a buried the two, and had been going for a third one till she saw Raincatcher all by himself. She smiled slightly and then looked him over, "What about you?" She asked curiously, wondering if he had been hunting at all.

raincatcher's eyes followed her as she sat, and he too lowered himself to the ground. i caught two mice. leafmask mewed to him. the tom nodded, impressed, thinking he should also be hunting for his clan instead of lazing around on a rock. his light colored eyes blazed curiosity as the she-cat looked him over, a slight smile growing on her lips. he titled his head, silently asking he if she liked what she saw. what about you? she asked, and raincatcher's guilt reappeared. he considered lying to the pretty she-cat, but she was probably too smart to fall for that. "uhm, well. i was just taking a break for a bit; i went out earlier today with a patrol." he stuttered out the truth, accidentally making it sound more like a lie. the tom put on a sincere face, hoping his expression convinced her.

Leafmask noticed the guilty look on his face, but she didn't mind, she was all for breaking the rules, it was okay once and a while, no use worrying over just relaxing for a bit right? She wished she could take a break but with her brother constantly moving it was hard for her to sit still just watching him, so wild and full of enegry, it made her look dull and unwanted, but she was still there. Dispite her hate for she-cats, Leafmask only knew one other like her, Hopepaw, oddly enough they shared a hate for She-cats and had become friends, dispite the fact they were both she-cats, it was strange but the young she-cat was learning from her. She smiled a bit more and Raincatcher, she loved toms, she loved flirting with them, because they were simply better, and she had nothing other to do, but she also admired just being able to talk with them, her sense of hatred almost disappears, but her personality would forever be their. "That's good" She said, she could tell it was truthful although the stutters made it sounds like a lie she knew it wasn't.

that's good. raincatcher nodded in reply, thankful that she was so cool with it. a gentle breeze blew by at that moment, ruffling up raincatcher's fur and making it stick out in every direction possible. "ugh, i'm ready for it to be newleaf again." he grumbled aloud, referring to the windy days that were slowly getting colder. leafbare was almost here; raincatcher wondered how bad it would be this year. he smoothed down his fur with a few laps of his light pink tongue, and glanced back to leafmask. "i was about to go hunting again." okay, another lie, but raincatcher didn't know what else to say and leafmask was an exceptionally pretty she-cat. "would you like to come with me?" he asked, a friendly expression on his face.

Leafmask shuddered a bit in the cold breeze, her fur bristled a bit before she flattened it again, she was as beautiful and 'hawt' as her brother, she had no idea why he always called him that. Leafmask was a radiant ginger orange colour with white paws and tail tip, her muzzle was also white and her nose a light pink. Her eyes were a stunning forest green colour. Her nose and eyes were the only two things that separated her from her brother, his eyes were a blueish green and his nose was a much darker pink. Leafmask smiled a bit, "I would love to come hunting" she meowed flirtatiously, flashing him a warm smile.

raincatcher peered at the she-cat. she was quite beautiful, and it shocked him that some other tom hadn't already snatched her up. she looked a lot like her brother, except for the differences in their eye and nose color. raincatcher purred softly, waiting for her reply with eager ears. i would love to come hunting. her voice rang in his ears, and the tom returned the flirtatious smile with pleasure. "great! we can start around here and work our way along the territory towards camp, if you'd like." he suggested, his fluffy ears around moving back and forth to pick up even the slightest sound of prey nearby. his gaze flashed back to leafmask, another small smile appearing on his lips.

Leafmask smiled when he smiled flirty like back at her, in allowed her to know that he was into her as much as she was into him, which she liked very much. Leafmask disliked females because of her past, but she had no problem flirting with toms. Normally she wouldn't go to far with them, but Raincatcher was different somehow. Leafmask's deep forest green eyes followed him as he took off excitedly talking about the plan that would happen, and she agreed with it, her ears flicking. "Sounds good to me" She returned the smile sweetly.

raincatcher purred again, more softly this time, in happiness as she accepted his offer. "great!" he mewed, the scent of a nearby mouse wafting into his nose. he glanced back at leafmask with a mischievous glint in his eyes. the tom dropped into a crouch, circling leafmask playfully twice before going off in pursuit of the mouse. he found the prey scuttling in a small bush, unaware of raincatcher. the warrior narrowed his eyes and waited for the precise moment to pounce. the tom bunched his muscles together and sprang forward, his unsheathed claws digging into the mouse's throat, killing it instantly. raincatcher returned to leafmask with the prey hanging from his mouth. he opened his mouth, the mouse dropping to the ground with a soft thud, and looked at the pretty she-cat with a warm gaze. "your turn." he mewed challengingly, smiling widely at the she-cat.

Leafmask smiled and watched him, he was a good hunter she'd give him that, but she was pretty good herself. "Your on" She meowed, she padded over closer to him, she smirked wildly she brushed against him brushing her ginger tail against his neck before taking off, she never backed down from a challenge. Leafmask dropped low, her graceful steps moved soundlessly across the ground as she moved closer and closer to her choosen prey and defenceless bird. She leapt catching it by surprised it tried to fly but she batted it down with her paw and ended it's life. She picked it up and brought it back and put it down near his mouse, "Take that" She meowed victoriously.
