Raven hissed lowly, slyly she slipped out more coming more close, she looked at him with her dark yellow eyes, "Should I now?" She asked darkly, a bit curious, she knew that apprentices weren't very stong at all, not compared to a warrior, which he had already admitted he was not. She moved forward a bit more, this was not the type of situation you wanted to be in, she had the advantage because she had more land, if he moved back anymore he'd be gone for good. Her ears flicked a bit, a piece was missing from one of them, her left ear. Her eyes were dark and cold as she glared at Galepaw, "Well Galepaw, I am Raven" She said simply not bothering to say anymore then that, she wanted to see how the apprentice would react.

Galepaw's face was cold and calculating as the she-cat seemed to step up, a hidden challenge in her move. Galepaw did not flinch or step back, highly aware of the river gushing in the background. Raven's step had brought her closer to Galepaw and he could now see the outline of her body better. He saw her flick her ears and noticed the gash on her ear. This seemed to give him confidence. If anyone could attack her then he could. He was a clan cat and he knew what he was doing. Months worth of fighting with Lynxfang became more useful then he had ever thought they would and for a moment he actually thought of thanking her teachings. This thought was diminished. She would have just sneered at him if he spoke of such a thanks. "Hello Raven." He replied to her sharp voice. Watching the rogue he shifted his weight to the back of his legs and the muscles pulsed through out his body. "Don't make me hurt you." He replied calmly. Curiosity made him hold back before moving.

Raven noticed him not flinching she didn't care, she fought anyone and everything, she normally started the fights, but she usually let the other cat attack first, then she'd have a reason to swat back. She won, almost always, there had been a few times she lost a few fights because she had over-stepped herself and ended up being caught in more the one fight at a time and sometimes two-legs would wander to close and the fight would stop before anyone could win. Raven was a very strong she-cat, for her age and height, she was rather fearsome in battle and refused to lose until she is to beaten to move or is knocked out. The gash on her ear had been her own fault though, she had been caught by surprised. But she had been younger then, and she didn't know how to fight as well as she did now. Out here, outside the clans you learned to fight to survive, you thought of nothing but winning over your opponent, Raven had learned this art well and she was easily willing to use it on the kit. "Little Kit, Little Kit you are so young" She said, "I'm not afraid of hurting" She said slyly, "Though I must also admit, I'm not afraid to hurt you" She added.

Pantherclaw's ear flicked up as a fresh breeze picked up, bringing in a fresher scent of Galepaw. He looked up and saw the young apprentice standing there. "There he is!"he hissed to the others, pointing his tail towards the small figure. Then his heart sunk as he spotted a black pelt bristling before Galepaw in an aggressive stance. A rogue! Then Pantherclaw noticed it was just a kit, but it didn't make him feel a lot better. Some kits were fiercer than Clan warriors. "C'mon, Galepaw might be in trouble., the black-furred tom whispered to the others, measuring the distance. "We'll need to approach-"
A sudden flash of brown zipped past Pantherclaw and Skyleaper, and Lynxfang was already a fox-length ahead by the time they realized it. -cautiously..."he growled to a finish with a face like this: T_T
Lynxfang let out a screech and slammed into the young she-cat. The brown wiry she-cat had her own fur bristling as she towered over Raven. "Back off kit! Only I can torture my apprentice,"she growled in a some-what protective way.

Galepaw let another growl escape him, though it was not at the unknown she-cat, it was at Lynxfang. "I was handling everything fine!" He snapped at her. "How am I supposed to become a warrior if you don't even let me fight my own battles." He huffed, his fur still fluffed. Rage began bubbling inside him again and he bunched his muscles in the back of his legs. Without anyone realizing what he was about to do, he took all the cats by surprise, even himself. Hissing he lunged at the rogue, jumping in the air and landing on her back. The force of the impact brought the rocks around Raven and Galepaw's feet to give way to the river that gurgled right behind them.
Looking up in alarm Galepaw realized that the ground beneath him was sinking fast into the water but before he could leap to the safety of solid ground it gave way beneath his and Raven's paws. Letting out a yowl of terror Galepaw no longer felt ground at his feet. He felt the sensation of falling and all sound seemed to heighten at a peak before a splash of cold drenched his body in freezing water. Gasping Galepaw allowed water to rush into his mouth and down his throat. Chocking he tried to get it out but he was still under the water, moving along the bottom with the force of one of the falling rocks. Kicking his back legs, Galepaw managed to move up in the water and stopped sinking. A blast of cold air hit him in the face as he reached the surface and chocking for breath.
The water brought him under again and his vision was blurred with a sense of blue and the ground seemed black under him. The only thing Galepaw knew was that the river had moved him far away, who knows how far, from his previous position and that he somehow knew he would soon die with out the air.

Raven hissed a glared at Lynxfang she stepped back a bit to get a better look at her enemy, her yellow eyes, "I'm not kit!" She hissed angrily, "I've taken down cats bigger then you and they were very much afraid of me, little Fox-dung warrior, honestly you make me sick butting in on a conversation and then calling me a kit! I'm like older then he is!?" Raven hissed angrily, she glared at her, she was about to strike when the sickening sound og cracking could be heard, "FOX-DUNG!" She swore angrily as both her a Galepaw fell over with the rocks that , they toppled into the water, the cold freezing fangs seem to dig into her as she hit the water.
Raven sunk at first, then frailed she couldn't swim in the slightest, never had to, she swore at herself for it, she couldn't tell which way was up or down, eventually though she found the surface, she kicked and kicked trying to stay up before the water engulped her again, she sank and wondered if this was really how she would die, she always pictured a more epic death but, if this was the end, she was really mad about it.
Skyleaper blinked as Lynxfang shot past them, it had been a blur almost, "Yep.. very careful" he chuckled running after her only to get there in time to see them go over, he blinked and looked over the edge, "GALEPAW" he shouted trying to find him, he looked around with his amber yellow eyes, "I don't see him" he said backing up, "Gotta jump!" he said readying himself to leap.

Galepaw's sight was a blur, but as his lungs became filled with water he noticed a black spot on the side of his vision. Turning his head, he noticed that the black spot hadn't moved and now there were more. They grew bigger and soon all he could see was the rocks and dirt on the bottom of the river shift and move, biting at his fur and clawing its way onto his skin. Galepaw's paws began freezing slowly, and his ears felt like they were about to fall off. A sense of fear bubbled up in his chest that he had never before felt and it seemed to make his feet come back to life. They kicked without him seeming to understand what was going on. Suddenly the rocks weren't tearing away his fur and the black receded into the corner of his vision.
It took the tom a moment to realize that his lungs were now full of air and that the water was now not rushing around him as fast. Galepaw's body spun around slowly in a circle and he felt the sharp pinch of the wind around his face, reminding him again of the season. He wasn't sure which was worse, being under water or above. Galepaw chocked out water and kicked again, this time touching the bottom of the river bank. Sighing in relief he shivered and tried to gain his balance. Making his way to the shore, he wondered idly what had happened to the rogue. The thought confused him, but it did not stop him from thinking about her.

Raven, that had been her name did it mean anymore, it was the name she gave herself... the name that suited her more then her birth name... but did it mean anything. She thought of that while she was sinking, she wouldn't be remembered by anyone, it was for the best... Raven was going to die and nothing in the world could stop it, well maybe a really sharp rock that tore against her hind paw, she wanted to yowl but used it to jump up, she burst through the surface and gasped for air. The pain was great in her paw, she was betting there would be blood, no doubt about that. She didn't have much time to think before being dragged down again, the current picking up, her small black form easily seen in the water, she looked around with her eyes finally forcing herself to open them, her eyes widened as the sharp shapes of rocks hit her full force, her tiny form sunk lower and lower scraping against the rocks that abused her. She wanted to scream but could and then everything went black as her head collided with a larger rock as she tried to swim away. Her body went limp as she was carried down stream, her form finally rose to the surface and was washed up on shore, unmoving and seemingly unbreathing.

Lynxfang glared between Galepaw and the black-furred rogue, trying to decide who to pummel first. "You ungrateful mouse-brain! You can't even fight a rabbit let alone this she-cat,"the borwn-furred she-cat snarled bitterly, raising her paw to clout her apprentice around the head. But she let out a screech of surprise as her apprentice lept. She was prepared for the attack to be directed towards her but instead saw her apprentice and the kit go down into the water. "You idiot!"she snarled, splashing onto the shore as she caught Galepaw wading unsteadily through the waters as he emerged shaken. She roughly grabbed his scruff with her teeth and effortlessly hauled him back onto solid ground. "Are you going to make me worry you like some bothersome kit!""Lynxfang growled, licking his mopping wet fur with some roughness. Then she realized it wasn't Galepaw, but Skyleaper. She instantly stopped cleaning his fur and let out a snarl of disgust. "You?!"she hissed, flinching away. "Darn it! I lost Galepaw!"Lyxfang growled, pacing around as her tail thrashed around behind her, showing her frustration.
Pantherclaw quickly padded up to Skyleaper to make sure he was okay. "Looks like the two cats went downstream,"the black tom meowed, looking down the river, though no sign of the two young cats were in sight.
"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's get my mouse-brained apprentice back!"Lynxfang meowed impatiently.
"No, Skyleaper might catch a cold, we need to get back to camp before he gets sick,"Pantherclaw meowed sternly.

"GALEPAW I'M COMING!" Skyleaper had shouted jumping down into the water, her struggled a bit because truthfully he wasn't a strong swimmer and the river was rather cold. He struggled to get to shore but was suddenly dragged by Lynxfang, when she noticed it was him and not Galepaw she leapt back like she had just seen a flea and wasn't trying to catch it. Skyleaper chuckled shivering as he did, it amused him to see her that way. "S-Sorry" He sneezed a bit, he was cold and couldn't help it, he wished he hadn't jumped in now but he thought he had seen Galepaw, it turned out to have been a piece of wood, darn shame though, it was the nicest piece of wood he ever did see, he had lost it sadly.

Cold. Cold. Cold.... Was the only thing Galepaw could think of. His body frozen. His mind shattered. His eyes closed and his heart slow. Galepaw could only feel the cold. It was all over his body. It seemed to seep into his skin and run through his blood stream, making his heart feel the cold. Stupid... Who's fault was this? Galepaw's mind couldn't concentrate on anything. He was lucky to be putting two thoughts together into one. After some time, Galepaw found himself standing. His eyes were open and he heard an echo in his head of the river. The gushing water had quieted down but it still left an ominous feeling inside of Galepaw. Coughing, he spat out water and shook his pelt. Water still clung to him, but most of it had turned to small ice crystals now. Looking around him, Galepaw noticed... Nothing. Nothing around him was familiar. He tried sniffing the air but a cough escaped through his lips and made him forget about his surroundings. Looking up at the sky, Galepaw noticed that the sun was now almost gone. There were stars coming out above his head, and further down the river, the sun was disappearing quickly. Galepaw shook his head in confusion. Where is Lynxfang? Skyleaper... Hadn't he jumped into the water too?
Panic filled Galepaw and he momentarily forgot about the cold. He remembered what had happened. Glancing up and down the river bed, he noticed a black patch that seemed to be misplaced compared to the grey rocks and light colored pebbles that peppered the ground around him. Blinking in curiosity, Galepaw took a few slow steps toward the unknown figure and then realized it was Raven. Before he knew it, he was running toward the younger cat; pain shooting up his legs with every step but he kept going. He neared the small she-cat and looked down. She was breathing, but barely. Frowning, Galepaw thought about leaving her there. It was her fault anyway. Shaking his head, Galepaw looked around for someone else to be around, but the two cats were alone.
Picking her up by her scruff, the tom started dragging her away from the river. When they got a few paces away from the water, Galepaw looked for a shelter in the remaining light coming from the sun. The first thing he noticed was trees. So many trees. He didn't need his nose to know that he wasn't in Dawnclan territory any more. Seeing that the sun was almost gone; he picked up Raven by the scruff again and pulled her toward the trees. When they got into the trees he looked for a hole to hid in. The sun was almost gone and the shadows had now swollen and almost consumed all the light. Seeing a tree that's roots had grown away from the trunk and left the inside hollow. Taking a quick look around, he carried the small cat to the hole and squeezed inside. Filling the hole up with warmth.

Wet... Cold... Black... Pain... Darkness... Wet... Cold... Black... Pain... Darkness... Cold... Black... Pain... Darkness... Warmth... Light... Pain... Galepaw?
Raven was knocked out good, she felt so cold and she was in pain from the river's mighty jaws, of twisting turns and painful jagged rocks she was dragged by. The cold water had lapped at her fur, lunging at her, making her freeze to death. But yet she was alive.. barely breathing but alive, she shivered and shook. Suddenly she was picked up and moved, she felt warm after a little while of being moved. She fell asleep once more.
Later she stirred waking her dark yellow eyes hazed for only a second as she tried to focus, it was then she noticed Galepaw, "Galepaw?" She snarled a bit, "Where am I?!" She hissed trying to jump up.

Galepaw was asleep after what seemed like forever of taking care of Raven. He was wet and cold himself, but strangely, he was worried about the younger cat because she had not yet woken. He had settled her as much as he could in a comforting position under the tree and had licked her fur to where it was spiking up and would dry faster. When he noticed her breathing was finally back to normal, he had finally worked out the small ice drops in his own fur and had slowly begun to grow warmer with the shelter and another cat to heat up the small cubby hole he had found. His stomach had growled with hunger but he had ignored it and fallen into the darkness of sleep that had dragged at his mind.
Now, hearing a noise and sensing movement- Galepaw had dragged himself out of sleep to hear the end of Raven's question. "Where does it look like?" He grumbled, closing his eyes again. In the small space, he had placed Raven in the back of the tree and he had placed his back to the entrance where he could feel the cold air and wind bite at his fur but he tried to ignore the feeling. "Oh. And your welcome for saving you." He snipped at her, yawning and finally opening an eye to peak at her.

Raven blinked, her dark yellow eyes flaring, when she jumped up she instantly regretted it and laid back down moaning, "Oh my head" She groaned with pain, she had hit her head before everything went as black as her fur. She flicked her ear, the one with the nick in it. "I am in a hole" She said quietly managing to look around, her earlier sense of anger washed away with the pain in her head. Save me? He saved my life? why? "Thanks" She meowed quietly, her eyes gazing at him curiously, but with the clear look of distrust still there. "Why did you save me?" She asked.

Galepaw looked at the smaller cat and managed an amused smirk on his face. "Well I'm not going to eat you if that's what your worried about." He lifted his head and took a closer look at the she-cat. He never noticed until now, but she seemed almost... vulnerable. He huffed out a breath and shook his head, trying to stay focused. She didn't trust him and he didn't trust her. "Don't get your tail in a knot. I saved you because unlike some cats," Galepaw glared at her, "I have a bit of sympathy in me." He moved his paw to his face and started grooming himself, still keeping an eye on the she-cat. After a while Galepaw stopped and shivered a bit at the cold he felt on his back, but he ignored the feeling and focused back on Raven. "Go back to sleep. You look like a drowned cat." He had an amused look on his face. "Oh wait. I guess you did drown." Galepaw meowed a laugh and then rested his head on the ground and closed his eyes.

Raven snarled a bit, turning her head away he should have let her drown, it would have made more sense, after all he was a clan cat weren't they suppose to be hateful towards Rogues? Oh well, she thought bitterly, she hated clan cats still. She groaned a bit her head aching as she did so. Her dark yellow eyes looked around her ears folded back she hated herself right now. She must look so small and weak, she hated being like that, with all her cold dark heart. She glared towards him when she mentioned she looked like she had drowned, "Oh why don't you please cry me a river so I can drown you in it" She said, "Oh wait the cliff already did" She sneered growling, "Besides you don't look any better then I do" She pointed out closing her eyes.

Galepaw didn't open his eyes while the she-cat was going on a tirade about cliffs, rivers, and whatever else she was talking about. He felt sleep pulling at his eye lids but he fought it off. He didn't want to fall asleep before this rogue did. "At least I don't care what I look like." He mumbled to her and gave a small sigh. He was still puzzling over why he had saved her. Why didn't he let the her drown? He certainly wasn't known for being kind to others. The fight on the cliff was a perfect example of that. Wasn't he supposed to hate this cat? Wasn't that supposed to be the only emotion he had for rogues? Why was this one any different? Galepaw huffed and got up to shake his pelt out and walked out of the tree. He started pacing back and forth, ignoring the aches and pains it caused. What is wrong with me? He hissed to himself.

"If I cared what I looked like I wouldn't look like this..." Raven countered quietly. She sighed recalling what she used to be like. She used to be so beautiful, the perfect little she-cat named Dove, she was kind and caring... but it was never enough for her mother, her sister was always better, always. She snarled bitterly at the thought, she was Raven now... Dove was dead just like her mother. Her mother hated her, she always did, her sister was the one she loved... she was the good one. Well Raven showed her mother, and killed herself off in the proccess. She sighed a bit, opening her eyes again noticing Galepaw pacing outside the tree. She was curious a bit, why had he saved her? He certainly didn't have to. She winced a bit as her head started to hurt.

Galepaw didn't want to admit it to himself, but he felt bad for the poor small she-cat. To be so young and living by yourself... He didn't want to be the reason such a small cat died. He didn't want to be that selfish and rude. "I'd be just like my mentor." He laughed humorously to himself. Sighing, he turned back to the tree and crawled inside. Looking at Raven, he thought she actually was pretty beautiful, even if she was covered in mud and still a little water-logged. Trying not to stare to long, Galepaw turned back away to rest in the front of the tree. He hoped his blocking the entrance would both keep the she-cat from running off and leaving him, and also to keep her warm. He didn't want to admit it to Raven, but he kinda wanted her around. At least for the time being.
"Lay down and get some sleep Raven. I have a feeling we have a long journey ahead of us if we even want to see our homes again. And you do realize it would be much easier if we traveled together, even if I get your rogue scent on me, it's the least of my worries." Galepaw meowed to the cat and closed his eyes to finally let the lure of sleep drag him under.
