Hopepaw glared quietly at a cat, she was smiling and nuzzling her kit gently, Hopepaws ears flattened, over the moons since she was abandoned she's grown a rather nasty habit of hating she-cats mostly the ones who are mothers to kits, the apprentices were okay to an extent, but she still couldn't stand them. Hopepaws pale very light blue eyes seemed also souless when you stared at them in the right light, she looked almost blank and out there, but she wasn't, the fierce look hidden in them was easily seen, along with the tinest fleck of hope in which she was named after. Hopepaw folded her ears back and groomed her already bristling pelt, her pelt was beautiful even though she was still so young, she was a light brown colour all together with darker brown stripes mixed in it. Her pelt also had a soften moonlit glow to it, even in the day time when the sun shone so brightly.
Hopepaw glanced around noticing the she-cat left, she sighed a bit, with her mentor gone out hunting she had nothing to do, no one to correct, no one to insult, how she loved to insult, no one to make a comeback too. It was rather boring, she decided to go for a nap or something, she got up and headed to the apprentices den.

Darkpaw loved sleep more than anything else in the world, so after he returned from an early morning patrol with his mentor and others he went back to sleep. He couldn't really care less if someone was mad about him sleeping and not doing some sort of stupid apprentice chore. The young tom had a decent length nap before he dragged himself out of the apprentice's den later that morning. That's not to say he wasn't still drowsy when he stepped outside. The addition of the sunlight momentarily blinding him led to him bumping into someone. A faint growth escaped his lips. He blinked, eyes adjusting to the light, and saw it was only Hopepaw.

Hopepaw headed to the den till someone bumped into her, she snarled a bit, and relaxed seeing Darkpaw, she didn't trust him, but he was okay, however she was not in a good mood right now, "Watch where you are going you clumsy Mouse-brain!" She meowed angerily. She was as she liked to call herself, the Princess of insults, but this was an easy one, she had many more in that strange yet wonderful mind of hers. She wasn't very nice to most cats, but toms she trusted more then she-cats, but at the same time it took some, no alot for her to trust someone would he leave me be, or would he play the game?

Hopepaw shot an insult at him, so of course he was ready with a rebound, "I'm not the one dilly dallying in front of the entrance..." he grumbled. Darkpaw didn't know Hopepaw that well, but he did know that she could probably match him in insults. She also seemed to have issues with other she-cats. He figured it was something that happened before she joined the clan that made her like that. Darkpaw, however, was just bothered by everyone in general since he was very small.

Hopepaw glared at him, "At least i'm watching where I am going unlike some cat who sleeps all day long" She countered back angerily, she was rather still upet by her encounter with Featherdancer and Mythpaw how they bristled her fur, she wanted to spit at them, may anything they eat turn to crow-food she cursed at them, it was so unfair, "UGH!" She hissed turning away to leave.

Darkpaw was impressed, "....guilty." He muttered the word as a smirk appeared on his face. He just then recalled something; Solacepaw had been telling him about Hopepaw and Mythpaw getting in an argument. His sister was very cross with him when he found the quotes from the fight amusing. Now here he was bantering with the princess of insults herself.....and he was developing a crush on her. So when she started to walk off, he dug through his mind to find something get her attention again. It was an odd thing for him, seeing as he was never really social at all. "Solacepaw said you and that obnoxious Mythpaw had an argument.....I can't stand her!" Well, there weren't many cats he could easily put up with, but Mythpaw was one in particular that was a thorn in his side.

Hopepaw growled as she thought of Mythpaw and Featherdancer, those two got at her like no tommorrow, she felt stabbed at every word they said, betrayed, lied to, forgotten, abandoned, yelled at, hit, abused, and so, so very alone.....The only two cats she really cared deeply for were out of her life forever, Sockpaw never came to visit her anymore and her mother abandoned her with out letting her say goodbye and Mythpaw and Featherdancer were just constant reminders of that, she didn't care if anyone suffered more then her, it just plain hurt, and Hopepaw was not one to forgive and forget. She glanced at Darkpaw when he said he couldn't stand her either, "Ugh, she is so stuck up and annoying!" She meowed, "Thinks she knows everything, at least I can abck up my words any way I like!" She said. She looked at him and smirked a bit, "At least I know someone else who agrees with me" She said.

Darkpaw got his wish, for Hopepaw turned around and continued talking to him. He nodded his head in agreement about Mythpaw. "Ugh, Eaglepaw is like that too....I got in a small fight with her the other day. She acts like she's the leader or something." Darkpaw really couldn't stand her at all, and for that matter..."Heck, there aren't many cats around here that are tolerable...." He meant that wholeheartedly, just about everyone annoyed him. He then realized Hopepaw might think he didn't like her, and he definitely didn't want her to think that, "But, you're alright." He added, a slight smile appearing on his face.

"Thank you for seeing my point of view on things" Hopepaw said to him, she really did think that way, alot of cats she just couldn't stand, but some were okay, toms mainly, there was only one female she truely.. wasn't bothered by, Leafmask had the same problem as her, they both hated she-cats. But this Darkpaw seemed to understand her a bit as well, for which was was greatful for, even if ever so slightly. She blinked when he said she was okay, she had to admit she wasn't expecting that, "I guess your alright yourself" She said her very light pale blue eyes watching him curiously.

In response to Hopepaw being thankful for him being like her and hating most everyone, he said, "No problem, doesn't take much to dislike cats around here.....mousebrained fools...." Darkpaw was still a bit in shock about the fact that there was someone else in the clan that thought the way he did. He was beating himself up on the inside for not speaking with Hopepaw sooner. They were around the same age and everything, yet the thought had never crossed his mind to speak with her. Well, that was probably just his antisocial nature holding him back, but still. The dark apprentice was relieved that Hopepaw said she didn't hate him. It was an odd thing for Darkpa, to know of someone who didn't hate him. He chuckled a bit, then said, "You're probably the only one in this clan that thinks I'm alright..." Darkpaw supposed his sister didn't mind him, but she was always criticizing and picking at him anyway.

Hopepaw's light blue eyes looked towards him, the painfully soulless blue with the slightest look of hope within her blue orbs. And no matter how hard she tried she couldn't get rid of it, not even in her fiercest of looks. Her name she to be odd, when she was younger the name hope fit her now it only upset her. She wasn't filled with hope anymore, any hope she had died, with luck her warrior name would be Hopedie. "Really?" She meowed slightly curious, she was the only one? Shame, she figured most anyone could get along with him, of course they'd have to have a mind like hers to truly understand.

Darkpaw nodded. He had accepted that most cats didn't like him, and it never really bothered him anyway since he didn't like them either. As he fumbled for something to say, since he's not too practiced up on having conversations, the dark tom's heart sank. Solacepaw was bounding towards him from the elder's den.
"Hey, Darkpaw, I wanted to tell you that...." Solacepaw began as she padded over to her brother, but then stopped when her gaze fell on Hopepaw. She had seen the other she-cat in passing and heard bits about her from other cats, and from this information Solacepaw had decided that Hopepaw wasn't someone she wanted to be friends with. Seeing this cat conversing with her brother made her uneasy.
Darkpaw ignored his sister's words, but did notice the look on her face as she stared at Hopepaw. He jabbed his paw into her side, "Cut it out!" he muttered, worried his crazy sibling would scare his new friend away.
"You first, you're the one lazing about doing nothing." Her bright green eyes stared at him
"I was just chatting with Hopepaw, calm down." There was obvious annoyance in Darkpaw's tone. In his mind, he was begging for his sister to leave. He looked to Hopepaw, hoping for some sympathy.
"You? Chatting? Ha, that's a good one!" Solacepaw chuckled at him, but then her gaze returned to Hopepaw. If looks could kill, she would be dead.

Hopepaw glared quietly at Solacepaw, she hated she-cat's she always did. Well not always there was a time when Hopepaw's name fit her so well, but that time was dead inside her along with the horrid mouse-dung that she had once called mother.
Hopekit was born into the Moonclan nursery she lived there with her mother Silverstripe, she was beautiful kit at birth and everyone thought she was so cute. "Mother look! Everyone loves me now, but I still love you the most, your smile is so nice!" Hopekit said to her mother who smiled sweetly.
How could it be her mother once smiled at her so sweetly and then not really love her anymore? What had happened? Why did her mother hate her so? Her soulless pale blue eyes looked down quietly looking away, how had her mother gone from that to this?
Hopekit was slowly carried away by her mother as she slept, she was dumped onto the moorland, Hopekit opened her eyes and looked at her mother, "Mother where are we, why are we here we have to go back to camp today is the day I become an apprentice" She said sadly as she her mother started to walk away, "Mother?" Hopekit asked running after her mother, her mother knocked her away, "Don't follow me!" She hissed running away leaving poor little Hopekit all by herself. "Mother why did you leave me here?" She asked sadly.
Hopepaw's fur bristled angrily, she hated she-cat's she always would. "He is chatting with me that you very much" She spat at Solacepaw quietly.

Solacepaw smirked, then spat, "Really?" She was definitely not into the idea of her brother conversing with someone like Hopepaw. Why did he have to choose the worst possible apprentice to talk to? He never talked to anyone! Solacepaw did not want to be associated with Darkpaw, let alone this weird she-cat he decided to become friends with.
"Come on, Darkpaw we should really go...." She begged, and turned to pad away.
"No." He responded flatly. Darkpaw was done letting his sister tell him what to do.
Solacepaw snapped back around and glared at him, "I really don't think you should..." She started, but then was cut off.
"I shouldn't what? Talk to Hopepaw? You aren't my boss." Darkpaw spat, glaring at her.
"But she's..." Solacepaw wasn't even sure what she was going to say about Hopepaw, but Darkpaw cut her off again anyway.
"You don't know her, so shut up!"
Solacepaw was shocked, and didn't move or say anything for many moments. Darkpaw was rude, yes, but usually not this much and never towards his own sister.

Hopepaw resisted the urge to leap out and rip her ears off, so what Hopepaw was from another clan, YEA SO?! What'cha gonna do about it?! HUH?! So what her mother abandoned her at birth to leave her to die alone and starving? yea so?! It was she-cats like Solacepaw that got under her fur and made her want to kill. Hopepaw hated alot of she-cat's but it was mostly because they hated her first or reminded her of her mother or was even going to insult her like Solacepaw.
Hopepaw rejected by one refused to be rejected by another clan, her best friend Sockpaw... what would he be like now? Surely he didn't hate her like her mother did. Hopepaw's fur bristled, her pale blue eyes watched Solacepaw with a scowl on her face to match the look of sheer anger. "You don't know me at all!" Hopepaw said nodding in agreement with Darkpaw. "So why not be a good kit and run off" She meowed lowly.

[atrb=width,300,true][atrb=border,0,true] | [atrb=bgcolor,000000,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,300,true]Solacepaw had had enough, and she made up her mind, "You know what? I don't know you, and I don't ever want to." She spat, then began padding away, "And I'm leaving. I'm gunna do something to do something productive and no stand around talking all day!" With that said and done, Solacepaw left, but not without one final glare each for Darkpaw and Hopepaw.

[atrb=width,300,true][atrb=border,0,true] | [atrb=bgcolor,ffff6d,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,300,true]Darkpaw shrugged off Solacepaw's rudeness and wasn't concerned at all about her leaving angry. He did feel a bit bad though that Hopepaw had to listen to his annoying sister. He stepped over closer to her, "I'm so sorry about that." Darkpaw began, apologizing for something for the first time ever, "She's just stubborn and difficult, don't take it personally." He hoped she wasn't too distraught over the whole incident.

Hopepaw watched her leave she snorted a bit and looked at Darkpaw, "it's okay I guess" She said, "she's rather annoying though" She said to him, her eyes glaring at where Solacepaw ran off, she looked at Darkpaw and smirked a bit. "Thanks for sticking up for me" She meowed, it was rare that she would thank someone for doing her own battles for her. She liked to do the battles herself, stand up for herself, mainly because she could only trust herself. But now she started to trust Darkpaw, he seemed nice enough, well nice by her standards. She could stand to be around him so he was okay.

{I hope you don't mind if I kinda end this thread for now, since I'm trying to cut down on the number of threads I'm in.....I can barely keep up!} [atrb=width,300,true][atrb=border,0,true] | [atrb=bgcolor,ffff6d,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,300,true]Darkpaw did begin to feel a bit torn between the two she-cats. Solacepaw was his sister, his only surviving family member! And yet at the same time, he could feel himself falling for Hopepaw. Was he really willing to cut off from Solacepaw to be with her? He supposed he wouldn't worry about it right now. Darkpaw was still quite young, and for all he knew he could grow to hate Hopepaw just as quickly as he'd come to like her.
"...no problem." He muttered in response to her thanks. Since he was beginning to feel guilt about being so cross with his sister, he began to feel increasingly awkward being here. "I should probably go and see if my mentor needs me to do something....so I guess I'll see you around." Darkpaw said, then turned to pad away.

Hopepaw sighed and nodded her head, what was she thinking, "yea..." She spoke her words quietly, she shouldn't like anyone, no one would want to stay with her, they'd all abandon her one day.. She got up and padded away heading out of camp to the place she had been found she didn't know what to do anymore. She hated her mother for what she did, other she-cats annoyed her and... despite her attempt to make friends she just couldn't do it anymore. She sat down, "What's wrong with the world?" She asked huffing a bit. Then she opened her pale blue eyes, "What's wrong with me?" She asked quietly, was it her? Was it really something about her that drove others to hate her? She sighed, she would just be alone... always alone.
