Hello all, and welcome to Warriors: Vengeance! Here is a little guide to hopefully help all those that need it. Whether you are new to warriors or roleplaying, this guide is the thing for you.


What is Warriors?

Warriors is a book series by the author Erin Hunter. This site is based off of those books. Most of you should know warriors, or at least read the first few books. If you haven't, that's fine too. This site is welcome to anyone, beginner to advanced. Four wild cat Clans live in a forest. The rest, is up to you.

How to Roleplay

Role-playing, or RP for short, is like writing a story. Though instead of writing it yourself other people make posts and contribute with you. With the other members of the site you roleplay your cats in realistic situations, relating to the warrior books. When you post, another word for reply, you make so your partner(s) can reply back easily. Some examples are below thanks to our members.

Making a Character

So you decided to join, and don't know what to do? No worries. First, you should go and read the rules. Second, you should make your character. We have four main Clans: MistClan, FireClan, MoonClan, DawnClan plus loners, rogues, kittypets and Tribe Cats. Make sure to use the form, which can be found HERE. I'm Still Confused

Still have some questions, or unsure about something? Go ahead and ask one of our lovely members. They are super amazing and great at helping. Of course you could PM (personal message) me or one of the other staff members with your questions.

I Saw The Word Limit, Help!

The word limit for our site is at least 90 words per IC (in character) post. Most members here do way more, which isn't hard once you get the hang of it. No need to feel intimidated, they have a lot of experience. Describe what your character is doing, reply or start a conversation, talk about the surroundings, how your cat is feeling, prior history, etc.

okay eclipse, doing a 500 word post is cool and all, but, if you really want to impress, you've gotta have good spelling and grammar and not all in one paragraph, maybe a little like this.

The night was quiet in it's darkness. The time of night came when nothing but the owl and the mouse were up - the night was the owl's domain. He ruled the night with an efficient and light touch - all night animals small enough feared the owl. He was the king of the darkness, the lord of the dusk, the leader of the night.

However, the hunting owl was not alone in his work - silent, lithe, small, a young warrior padded alone in the darkness, looking for prey. His white coat looked grey in the dead light from the moon, his yellow eyes picking up every hint of light. The scars that littered his pelt told you he'd been in fights, and possibly many, but his looks defied his age - he was not even two winters old.

Deceiving the eyes of those who watched him, the tom was silent in his musings - a quiet tom; almost too quiet. His voice was soft, sweet, but held a hint of a darker side - a neglected side, one which had died when he was young. His past, though not visible, was weighing on his shoulders like the world. His family were dead - he was alone in the world.

He stopped suddenly, ears pricked up, maw open wide. He flashed open his eyes; his prey was close. A mouse. Licking his lips, he dropped into a crouch, swishing his tail from left to right gently. The mouse was oblivious; too busy stuffing it's chops with grain from the plants around it.

It's death came like fire - swift, quick, deadly. The white tom dealt it a fast, painless death - a bite on the neck, broken quickly. He picked up the mouse by it's rump. He could have eaten it now, but cats needed to be fed, and he found himself unhungry; his needs could wait until he was satisfied with his catch.

The yellow eyes searched up into the sky for his ancestors. Stars were falling tonight - they were weeping, for what, the tom did not know. His place was not the medicine cat or the leader - he knew not what StarClan wanted for him, yet he made his way the best he could. The tom would do as the Warrior Code stated until, perhaps, he was one day the leader of his clan, until he could see what StarClan had in store.

It wasn't hard to guess though. The previous leader of MistClan was a killer - the tom had known that. He had been one of the many apprentices to help Wolfsong in killing the devious tom-cat. That was where he earned those scars that made constellations on his pelt. They were pinkish in colour, of vast contrast to his pure white pelt.

The tom sighed, and placed the mouse next to his other kill in a small dip in the landscape. He sat down, and looked at the sky, searching it with those yellow eyes. His family were up there - he knew that.

"Guide me on my path, StarClan." he whispered.

One great tip for roleplaying is that, when you reply you've got to give the other person something to work on. For example:

Foxclaw padded into camp, feeling refreshed after his run in the forest. With leaf-bare in full motion, he was glad to be finally warming up after a long, cold night in his den. In his jaw were two tiny mice, caught almost one after the other as he spooked them out of their nest, and he was very proud as he dropped them onto the pitiful fresh-kill pile. Looking around, he spotted Snowleaf, the beautiful white she-cat who had just been made a warrior. He called to her: "Good morning, Snowleaf!"

The response to this should be an answer to the whole post and a little added.

Snowleaf woke up from a restless night's sleep and walked out of the warriors den, of which was now her new home. The other warriors had move their own dens to give her a little more space. She walked over to the fresh-kill pile and took a squirrel for herself then she noticed Foxclaw.

"Hello." She meowed when he called to her.

Now, the person responding would have a hard time replying to this, as they have very little to work with. Instead, picking up from the part from she notices Foxclaw, it should be along the lines of:

...she noticed Foxclaw.

"Hello!" She called, enthusiastically, before gesturing to the tom to join her. "Why don't you share some of this squirrel with me?" The spot she had chosen had very little frost or snow covering the ground, as it was shadowed by the large rock that jutted out of their camp wall.

And remember, spell check is your friend.
