A thin, black she-cat opened one eyes as a small chilly breeze ruffled her fur. The hair on her back pricked up at the sting of the cold. She gave a small growl pushed herself against the wall, trying to shield herself from the wind. She closed her eyes again, trying to rest. Then she wind picked up again, blowing against her with more force. She snapped her eyes opened and glared at the sky, challenging the wind to brush her again. When it did, she just sighed. I guess it is time to wake up. She lifted herself to her paws, irritated.
Darkheart carried herself out of the den, still feeling tired. She quintet her blue eyes at the sun peaking out above the trees. The sun was to low to Darkheart. She felt like it should be higher by now. One thing she hated about Leaf-fall.... the day was limited. She looked up at the trees again. The leaves danced down, falling from the crooked branches and landing softly in a pile of all their brothers and sisters who must of released from the tree last night. The shades of orange, red, and yellow gave a warm feeling to the dark she-cat, even though the chill made her shiver.
A bright red leaf fell down from it's tree. The leaf landed right on Darkheart's head, making the warrior jump, whacking the leaf in the air and landing with her front paws pinning the leaf down. Her claws cut threw the leaf and into the moist dirt. The leaf gave a small Crackle sound. Darkheart breathed deeply, her body tense. It was just a leaf She said to herself. Then she took her paw off the leaf and it made the crinkling sound again. A leaf fell down again and landed next to her. She stepped on it, listening to the sound. Then she twisted around and stepped on another leaf... then another... then another. She smiled to herself, making a song out of the crunch. Then she back up a little bit, and sprinted forward, jumping into a pile of leaves. The leaves crackled around her, flying up and landing everywhere. Darkheart laughed loudly, joyously whacking the leaves out of the air before they touched the ground.
