"Your mother is worthless, She was too feeble to protect you and your so called brothers are dead."
The small kit lays on its side, bleeding with fear in its eyes and a tall tabby towers over the young kit. The tom showed nothing but hate in its hard yellow eyes, it's fangs glinted in the darkness and a pool of blood surrounded its paws.
"You will always be worthless....just like your mother!"
A yowl ecsaped the tom's mouth and lunged at the kit, his claws nearly apon the small kit's neck.
"No!" Shadow yowled, leaping to his paws with a sudden burst of rage and unsheathed his claws with a hard look in his eyes. It only took the tom to figer out that it was only a dream, finding himself inside a den that was hidden underth a tree and flicked his ears back. He was always tromented by those dreams, his past that ripped his life apart and still could not find peace within a simple dream. Relaxing abit, the young tom manged to flatten his pelt a bit and sheathed his claws with a slight twich of his tail.
His memory though, kept leading back to a young cat, a she-cat and found it quite hard to push it away. But yet, he could't picture who it was and somewhat gave up on. Shaking his head, Shadow slowly padded out of the make-shift den and glanced around. It was clear that Scar had gone off somewhere, at least for the moment and was expected to come back soon. But this, is what he wanted and soon bagan to pad away to hunt. Now 8 moons old, he was little better at his movements and quicker on the hunts. But Scar said he still had alot to learn, which Shadow quickly disagreed with him.
Moving along the trail, Shadow's black pelt seemed to glint abit apon the sun's light but didn't give off a shine. His Scar was clearly move visable on his left side, taking claim on what fur that grew around it. But as he moved on, Shadow felt that he was being watched..and every step turned himself more alert.

((AHHHH....my turn! XD)) Usually, Mango would ignore other cats as they walked by her. They are no important to her. Busy thinking about her brother, Rovek, and setting up a meeting with their little, runt brother, Wren will be a disaster. Of course, it will be. It always been in the past. Sighing, she caught herself staring at a young tom in the distance, not far away.
The gray tabby tried to ignore the young cat, but she kept finding herself staring at him. What is wrong with her? There is something off about that cat, but Mango could not figure out what it is. Her curiousty brought her to a halt.
"Hey there!" She shouted.

Shadow paused for a moment, hearing a voice call out to him and slowly tilted his head to where it came from. What his eyes landed on next, put a slight shock in his eyes and almost let out a hiss in response. Standing distance from him, was a young gray tabby, who oddly look similar to the memory he was trying to forget. Flicking his ears back, the young black tom became alittle curious himself but instead of replying back, he continued to move on with his tail slightly raised in the air.
But as if giving a slight signal, Shadow stopped and turned his head to the gray tabby with a smirk. He held that smirk for a moment more, before turning his head and continued to pad on toward a nearby river. I wonder....is that.. Shadow thought, his tail flicking slightly as he kept a slow moving pace.
((Lol, I wonder how Mango is going to react? XD))

A smirk? Then walk away?
That is insane, but after all, she met a lot of crazy rogues in her days back then. So, the smirk meant nothing to her. However, that one second pause in the twitch of the lips belonging to a stranger made her even more curious. The gray tabby admit it was kind of cute. Cute?
Taking a step back, Mango knew that she could turn her back and walk away in the different direction. And forget about the stranger and his smirk. Better to turn, but her paws were stuck. Like they were a part of the ground. Unable to move, she began to follow the stranger. Which she will regret later.
Regret. Sighing, she got the taste of its medicine lately. She regretted setting up the meeting with her brothers. "Once a fool, always a fool," a voice lurked in her mind. No, she is no fool! But she thought about it, a second too late, then winced at the regret of being a fool to let high hopes catching her that her brothers will make peace, not war. Regret lurked deeply in her light-hearted mind, mocking her.
Sighing, she followed the stranger, and with mentality strength, she pushed regrets aside and returned the smirk, "Hello there, stranger." The smirk turned into a strict fashion of frowns. "I don't see you around here before. What brought you here?" Mango knew it very well that she did not ask him for his name. But she did not care about that. This is her land, her life, her blood. A very few cats knew of her position as a leader of exiled tribers.

He had to admit, most cats would simply walk away from a tom like him and think that he's nothing but trouble. But this one, this one cat was different and even the sound of the gray tabby's steps took him by surprise. Flicking his torn ear back, he stopped and turned his head to look at the rouge. On a closer glance, he found out that is was a she-cat that called to him and as the gray tabby spoke again, Shadow let out a slight huff with a wave of his tail.
"Nothing really." The black tom spoke, his voice sounding low and cool. Shadow never really like talking much and perfurd to keep it that way. But oddly enough, he still had some sort of heart for she-cats and tended to put that above everything else. Still, the way this tabby looked...it was almost like a long lost friend that happened to run into him. Or so to speak. Glancing around, the young black tom half closed his hard yellow eyes and tilted his head slightly."You seem..very familiar to me..." He meowed, flicking his torn ear back before closing his eyes."So what is a she-cat like you doing here?" He asked, though this voice was alittle rough as he opened his eyes again with a slight smirk on his muzzle.

"You seem...very familiar to me..."
Many told her that before. Listening to the same sick quote over and over again, irriation came to her. This cat has a lot of moons of training not to be easily offended and annoyed by any other cat. Her two brothers taught her that. Plus, being a rogue all her kithood, she knew how to hide her emotions. Well better than her brothers. They seem to lack patience for those kind of things. Building up a mental defense for herself, no one could figure her out. Unless she grant them the access. That...never happen.
This led to her to mistrust this tom. Sighing, she told him with neutral tone, "The leader of exiled tribe cats? Does that ring any bells?" This question made her doubt him. She doubt that he know about it.

Shadow flicked his tail, little dissapointed by the questions that the gray tabby had asked her and simply half closed his eyes in annoyence. This she-cat....no, maybe this one isn't who I thought it would be. Leader of exiled tribe cats? Hmh. The young black tom thought, suddenly getting angered by the whole thing and wanted to turn tail and leave her. But yet, that same annoying feeling came over him and forced him to stay put. Fussing in his mind, the black tom fully opened his eyes before speaking in a rough, but calm tone.
"No. I have heard about them, but I don't care about some tribe." The black tom turned his head slightly, glancing at the river that was not far from them and waved his tail with a soild look on his face."But why do you mention that? Is it of some importence to you?" He asked, though also alittle wary. He had quite alot of run ins with other rouges and even though he didn't count himself as one, his scars and bite marks labeled him one. Plus..trust was almost the number one thing he took pride in and if he didn't see a cat fit enough to have his trust or in some form, Shadow would simply take them as just another piece of trash that happen to cross his path.
But the one question still lingered in his mind: Is this the she-cat that I saw in my Dreams?

Hmph, Mango thought. Ouch. This cat is being rude to her. There is no need to be not polite and not friendly to a stranger. Such manners this cat have. Manners or not, Mango do not care either way. "No one seems to care about that." Chuckling at herself for telling him that, she told him, "Nah. It holds no importance to me. If that is what you see that way." Being a leader of exiles sounds a terrible idea, but living a whole life of a rogue made her that way. But being a leader is not her forte. Not her thing to do. She is more a follower than a leader. But since exiles need her, she let them get what they need, a leader. Someone that take care of them and watch after them. Somebody who forgives their evil deeds.

Shadow tilted his head to the she-cat, still alittle angry about the whole thing but was slowly calming down. She is just a She-cat, nothing else. So don't get so worked up. The black tom told himself, padding forward a few paces before waving his long black tail in the air. "The name's Shadow and No, I don't see it that way." He meowed, turning to Mango with a calm gaze. His torn ear flicked back, somewhat regreting to give his name to a total stranger. But then, he had never said his name to anyone. Except maybe Scar.
"So what's yours, since we're here." Shadow spoke, his torn ear still flicking back like something was bothering it.

This cat obviously feel not comfortable with her. Why? She was only a she-cat. Nothing else. This cat obviously was mad with her. For what? Maybe she should let him alone. Curiousty for this cat was nothing more. It was gone. She was not interested in this tom. Her interest was to run and hunt. Sighing, her ears flicked when he told her his name.
Shadow.
It suit him perfectly. The name flow nicely off her tongue, "Shadow." But she did not bother to tell him her name. She turned and began to walk away.

Shadow let out a hiss of annoyance, lashing his tail and his somewhat calm eyes hardened with a dark glow. A She-cat, walk away from him! This is an insult that went beyond his boiling point but fought hard to put it in place. He said his name, only to get nothing in return and that was enough to spark anger in him. But yet...he remembered what Scar had said to him and slowly shrugged it off. Letting his smirk show again, he watched the she-cat move away from him just a few more steps before speaking in a shallow tone.
"Its a shame. I tell you my name and you simply walk away. It just shows how rude and afraid you are, to find someone that can actually care about she-cats. Heh." Shadow shook his head, chuckling as he did so and waved his tail slowly. "Just like all the other Rouges that I have met, you are no more different then those cowards that turn their back on their own future." He added, his voice sharp and strong. It tired him that so many she-cats were like this, running away from the fear that clouded their minds and the doubt that pleaded each step they took.
"Humph, what's the point. I'm wasting my time one someone who I thought I knew." Shadow huffed, turning his back on the she-cat padding away from him and slowly padded down to the river. It was clear to him that this she-cat would not listen to him, even as he had offered his kindness to the she-cat. In his mind anyway. Reaching the river with a lash of his tail, he sat down as the sounds of the water calm him and let himself fall under heavy thought.

Light paw steps moved the large tom forward a vole in his jaws as he moved back to the little den that served him for the night. His eyes caught movement as he noted Shadow near the banks of the river right where he left him, but what his brow raised in question as he noted a she-cat nearby. He noted a look of annoyance in Shadows eyes obviously the she-cat had struck a cord of sorts. Scar dropped his prey near the den, taking to talk to Shadow before he ate his meal. The light wind blowing up from the river let him be unnoticed other than the light paw steps he took. He could only wonder what had transpired between Shadow and the she-cat, but talking would alive that thought. "Shadow." he mewed lightly as if he was just stating a fact instead of a greeting waiting for his response before diving into questions.

Mango was impressed. He was certainly different than others. Rogues would not mind she-cats walking away, but this cat really spoke out for what he believed in.
Actually...she is no coward. Her brothers are. They are feeble-minded and fools. They only think about themselves. That is why she is bold among the rouges, making her an outcast to them. Again, it stabbed her in her heart that this cat thought of her of the same thing. She spun and walked to him to the river. "That's very impressive." With a smirk, she said, "I never met a cat who speak out loud and that blunt. I like that." She began to clean her paw. "By the way, I am Mango."

Shadow's gaze didn't leave the water as he could hear a slight noise that was too faint to hear and a small smirk formed on his muzzle. The young black tom had no doubt, it was indeed Scar that was coming toward him and the way the tom was now, it was quite easy to guess Shadow's annoyence. Hearing the large tom's voice, he simply flicked his ears before before responding with a mellow but rough tone. "Yes, Scar?" He flicked his tail abit before hearing another voice that gave him a bit of a shock.
So...She comes. And I thought she was the spineless type..Heh. Shadow thought, his gaze turned to Scar for a moment before returning his gaze to the gray tabby that he now knew as Mango. He smirked back, now somewhat amused with the she-cat's sudden tone."Really now? And I thought you took me as one of those Flea bags that spoke nothing." He shot back calmly, flicking his torn ear before waving his tail over to Scar. "Scar, this is Mango. Mango, this is my friend Scar." He meowed roughly, before turning his gaze back to the moving water.

Scar nodded polity to the she-cat, her name a bit odd as he wandered what she was named for but he let the idea drop, nothing to gain by knowing some useless fact. "It's good to see that your making friends Shadow, although I would like to know why she could insight such emotions in you earlier." he said with a wayward grin looking at Mango. It was a curious thing for Shadow to let himself get rilled up, he was getting better at his emotions although Scar would never admit it openly. He' have a laugh if Shadow was actually infatuated with the she-cat. Other than that the she-cat might agree to join him in his plans to crush the clans if he could persuade her, but such matters where till far from his reach time still played a part, in his plans to come.

Traditionally, parents name their children in honor and pride that they were their children. Their gift of life. However, Mango did not get her name from her parents. Her mom died shortly after she was born. Her father abandoned her to a band of rogues. They became her close friends. The rogues soon met a foreign cat from another lands. The foreigner soon spoke about a fruit. The fruit itself smell so sweet and special. Just like…Mango today. She earned her name from the foreigner. And she stuck with that name.
Many rogues that came and went in her life would ridicule her name. But what the hey, she didn’t even care. They are all spineless, but there are very few cats that are not cowards, fools, or tyrants like her.
Maybe that is Shadow….or his friend, Scar. Maybe both. They both look…nice for rouges. Often, she clashed into the paths of savages. Anyway, that is not her point. She gave Scar a friendly nod. “You guys friends?” She eyed them both. “Cool.”

Flicking his long black tail, Shadow tilted his head to Scar with a sort of glare in his eyes. He disliked it that the large tom was able to tell his emotions and it was enough to make him go bannanas. After a few mins, he slowly turned his head back to the water and flicked his torn ear back. "None of your concuin, Scar." He meowed, letting his eyes drift to Mango and half closed them.
"I wouldn't say that it is cool...but it's close enough." Shadow added, letting out another huff before glancing at Scar again with the "Don't even speak about it" look. He wanted to keep Mango from knowing what happened to him, or that he really was starting to have a liking to the gray tabby. As always, he taught himself to feel little emotions except a few. Anger, annoyence and amusment. Too bad he ran into Mango, who oddly looked like that cat in his dreams. But then, he also came across Scar too.
Fate....ugh. It always happens to me. The black tom thought, fussing in his mind.

Scar silently chuckled to himself at Shadows reaction the young tom still held a grudge against him, regardless of how long they traveled together. He noticed the stare from Shadow trying to tell him to hold his tongue. He saw no point in disappointing him, Scar was harsh not cruel.
He turned his attention instead to the young she cat, taking a step out from behind Shadow he now stood paw to paw with her lowering his head so he could speak with her eye to eye. Scar always found that his bulk was an annoyance when trying to talk respectfully with other when he felt like it.
"Don't mind him, he just has a thorn in his side when I'm involved." he said with a grin. "So I guess we're intruding on your territory, or are you traveling around as well?"

Interesting behavior, Mango thought quietly to herself. They both looked like they hate each other, but it is none of her concern. A long time ago, she learned not to question other cats' personal lives. Getting in personal lives are not fun....and they tend to get in her way. Becoming a sucessful leader, Mango kept many things to herself. Otherwise, cats respect her for that. They adore her for that. But this is not her point.
Mango did not know what annoy Shadow, but from her persceptive, he was so not a happy cat. Maybe due to his dark history or family problems, but again, she has no interest in knowing Shadow and his friend, Scar.
Well, well, Scar. His friendly demeanor somehow amused her. The way how Scar came up to her and told her not to mind his friend made her smile. He reminded her of how naive she was in her earlier days. Replying back, she took a step closer and shrugged, "I have been traveling here for a few moons. Plus, I am not some feeble-minded rouge who protects her land. It is a waste of time, literally."

Shadow let out a low hiss but said no more then that, letting his tail flick abit more before curling it around his pure black paws. Scar would always say things like that when he was in a bad mood. It bugged the black tom to no end, always smooth talking every rouge that came Scar's way. Hmh...Just a bunch of garbge. Shadow thought, gazing at the river for a moment before raising to his paws with his tail lowered close to the ground.
He remembered that he had to hunt, since Scar told him that he had to hunt for himself now and tilted his head abit to look at Mango and him talking. They'll be fine. It's not like they need me anyway. Shadow thought, flicking his torn ear back before starting to pad away. Scar wouldn't mind much and Mango would only ignore him if he padded away, so this was a good time as any to hunt. Without looking back, the black tom slowly vaished behind a few bushes with only a scent to follow.

Scar gave a quiet chuckle at Mango's words, she seemed she had a similar thought on staying in one spot for too long. He noticed Shadow taking his leave for a moment, he gave it no more thought. Scar had already hunted, and as by his rule, he would not hunt for Shadow. As well he could speak with their new guest while he did. "Yes, it is a waste to spend one's time trying to live in one territory. Thats why me and Shadow travel." He said with a distant mew looking to the river as it rushed by. That wasn't his only reason though, he traveled looking for any rogues who would be interested in joining him in his plan to destroying those self righteous clannies. He couldn't tell how Mango would react to such talk though, so their was no point it telling her to just have he leave, not yet that was. "So what is it you travel for then, a home, searching for someone, or do you have no purpose for your travels?" he asked tilting his head slightly. It was a generally odd question, but he did want to know those with purpose where easier to convey to one's side by helping them they in turn would help the other.

A few moons ago, I had a purpose, but not anymore Mango stated. She did not want to tell details to this rogue. Another lesson she learned in the rogue world. Never share anything with strangers. No matter how close they are to her. She utterly paid a huge price for that. Her brother betrayed her. Therefore, she betrayed him in return of a favor. Overall, she came back to him to help him with his evil intentions, but she decided to drop it out. And quit being a leader of exiles. That's why she found herself traveling in different terrorties, bored. No one know her. That's the sweet taste of victory for her. Being unknown is best. And stable.
What about you? she asked the same odd question. He started it first.

Hearing faint mews not far from where he had left them, the young black tom slowed his pace and started listening closely to the sounds around him. A bird perched on a tree, tweeting that annoying tune but was far enough away for him to keep out of sight. Those birds were always a warning signel for others that couldn't fly and he was well aware that it was a valuble asset to other prey. Shaking his head abit, he was able to catch a faint but surrying noice and turned his sight toward the sound with a slight twitch of his tail.
There...Shadow smirked, dropping himself into a crouch and slowly pawed his way to the sound with his ears folded back. Just a few tail leagth ahead of him, was a mouse. A mouse that was curtainly big enough to last a whole day without food and as the tom neared it, looked like the catch of the day. It was nibling on something, acorn maybe and had it's back turn. Closer and Closer the black tom came, his tail twitch ever so slightly and his claws slowly unsheathed with each paw step. The mouse stopped, looking around with it's nose twitching abit. Before another moment was wasted, Shadow launghed himself foward with one of his claws acting like a hook. The mouse couldn't move in time, finding itself flung into the air and before it begain, it was over. Shadow had swiped at his pray yet again, letting his claws priece the skin of the mouse as it fell and smirked as it went limp. Blood dipped from his right claws and with a dark look in his stone yellow eyes, sat down with a flick of his tail.
The noice had sparked a bird's warning cry, but yet he didn't care. He got what he wanted and that's all. Letting his tail wave side to side, Shadow lifted his paw and began to clean the blood of his claws with his tonge. His ears were still folded back, his torn ear flicking every few seconds and as he lowered his paw, narrowed his eyes. He was sure that the blood would bring unwanted guest and with that thought, rose to his paws with a strong flick of his long black tail. His ears moved foward as he picked up his pray that was still dripping with blood and bouned back to where the two were. His quick paces had soon brought him to faint sounds, which sounded like Scar and Mango talking and slowled his pace. Before he made himself known, Shadow crouched close to a tree with a flick of his tail and took a bite out of his pray. Let's see how this goes. He thought, watching the two chat while in the cover of the shadows.

Scar gave a halfhearted sigh when Mango asked him the same question in turn. "Let's say my travels are to find a proper way to greet my brother when I see him again. I would hate for him to be only mildly surprised." He mewed with a wicked grin. In truth he hoped to bring an army down upon his brother when he saw him again, but he wouldn't lead the attack himself. No he needed to find some blow-hard who was so full of himself that others believed him someone to act as a false leader. It was dangerous business after all leading rogues those with power hungered for more. If he wanted to live to see his brothers demise he had to lead an army from within. Though he was having a harder time doing so, as well Shadow played a firm distraction to him. He had only brought the young one with him out of old memories. How would he react knowing he would be sending him to his death with the other rogues. "You can relax a little more you know, I'm not like those other rogues you find wandering about." he said keeping his tone a nice even level looking down at the water the last few fish that swam the stream only a short length from his claws.

Easy for you to say that, Mango gave him a friendly grin. She is not easily convinced by what he said. Some rouges said that to her and it was not a pleasant experience. Still smiling at the tom, she said, Ah, your brother? She said nothing more, but anxious knowing that someone is watching her. She hated that feeling when she is being watched. Though she followed Scar's gaze to the fish that swam inches away from his claws. In a swift swipe with her paw, she caught a mini fish. The fish was flapping against her claws. Shut up, you twit, she whispered to the fish.

Shadow slowly licked his claws, finishing his meal with nothing but bones left to see and waved his long black tail abit. Somehow, he enjoyed watching those two talk when he wasn't involved and seeing Mango on edge abit seemed to amuse himself even more. There was still something about this she-cat that bothered him though, something that he couldn't quite shake. It was the fact that this she-cat was closely resumbling the one in his dreams, but yet, Mango didn't really know him. So what's the point. Shadow thought, hissing silently before raising to his paws.
Before moving, he buried his bones with the dirt he had swiped with his paws and patted it down. Nodding to himself, he padded foward toward them and appeared behind Mango with a smirk on his face. "Hello you two. Enjoying your chat?" Shadow meowed roughly, padding around the gray tabby with a flick of his tail as he passed Scar and after a few more paces, stopped. The black tom couldn't help but smirk again, turning toward the two again and sat where he was with his tail wrapped around his paws.

A light chuckle escaped Scars breath as he watched Mango take out the fish. Scar gave a smirk as he watched Shadows return to them asking if they where enjoying their conversation. "It's going quiet well, it would be nicer though if our... new friend trusted us a little more." he mewed turning his gaze back to Mango, with a friendly grin. "Tell me what would I have to do to prove my word is as I say." he asked raising a brow looking at Mango. "I have said nothing to gain mistrust as well, I have not shown a bit of aggression either. So tell me what is it that causes you to think I'm like those other rogues?"

Ha, now the rouges want to prove to her that they are not like others. It is not their fault that she gain mistrust for all rouge, no matter who they are. Young or old, she still has mistrust for everyone. Sorry, Scar and the other cat whatever his name is. Ah, Shadow. Mango just remembered his name. They look noble, far different than original rogues, but still...
"Nah, it takes time," she told them with a tight smile.

"Yeah, whatever." Shadow spoke with a slight huff and lowered his ears back abit. Trust was somewhat of a big thing to him, since he was betrayed by his father and wanted nothing to do those who thought of it as a tool or a toy. The black tom's head shifted to Scar with his yellow eyes slighty narrowed and shook his head abit. "Have you ever heard of not rushing things? Or have you forgotten about that, Scar?" He sighed, un-wrapping his tail and waved it slowly in the air with a smirk on his face. Sure, he didn't like the fact of agreeing with Mango but he didn't like to rush into things either. So its' kinda a draw in his mind.

Scar gave a slight sigh looking to Shadow, as he talked about rushing the matter of trust and although part of the words where true situation dictated otherwise.
"Yes it is wise not to rush, but I doubt that we will cross paths again with Mango here on any other terms."
He turned his gaze back to Mango, not bothering to hide his slight impatience on the matter. Scar was not one who took to much time trying to convince another cat. If he couldn't show that he was trustworthy from the start then he felt as if their would be no point in continuing the conversation, but he did not know of Shadows feelings on the situation.
Although he was in part forcing him to travel with him, Shadow had shown free will enough that traveling with him was just a hindrance. He hadn't tried to gain trust when he had meet the young kit, he just couldn't stand to see the young one living on his own. As well the young tom reminded him daily of his past, his stolen future, and eventual fate. The slight reminder of the she-cat with a pelt as dark as the night, was all he needed to continue his efforts.
"Unless you would be interested in traveling with us, though I believe your choice is set in stone long before we meet."
He said with a light mew, lifting himself from the ground.
"Now if you'll excuse me my prey is getting cold, and I think Shadow would prefer talking to you without my presences."
Scar padded back to the little den that had served as their shelter for the previous night picking up the vole he had left behind to meet with Mango, the piece of prey cold from the weather Scar took it into the den and ate slowly waiting to see if Shadow might change the she-cats opinion. His efforts seemed fruitless, but he could see potential in Shadow as possible.
