Sunlight streamed through the puffs of cloud that covered the sky, sending both light and shadows into the camp. Snow laid upon the clearing, covering every inch of sand and dirt. It was like a winter wonderland, although covered with many pawprints of the cats that lived there.
A tiny head popped out of the nursery entrance, amber eyes wide with amazement. The little she-kit tentatively touched the icy cold snow with her paw, letting out a giggle as a perfect imprint of her paw appeared on the snow.
Young Maplekit squeeze herself out of the den, letting out a purr as kneaded all four paws on the soft ice.

Daringkit jumped out of the nursery sadly he landed on ice and slid away, 'freedom!!' he thought to himself happily. Everkit blinked her tiny blue eyes and watched him go, she gasped and raced after him slipping on the ice and sliding after him in a strange form of chase. Daringkit rammed into a snow pile, he lifted his head it was covered with snow, the small brown tom shook out his fur only to be hit by Everkit which sent him farther into the snow and getting his face covered again. Everkit squeaked a bit and smiled looking about, her reddish brown fur stood out brightly against the white snow.

[Diria]

Silverkit looked out of the nursery. She leapt out into the snow, climbing up small snow drifts. One of the snow drifts gave way causing her to sink and almost disappear in the snow. Silverkit squeaked and popped out of the drift. By the time she got out she was completely white with snow. She shook it off and continued to play. Sliding on ice patches, climbing on more snow drifts, she was happy to be outside even if it was cold. She didn't want the day to end.

Maplekit let out a mrrow of laughter as she watched Daringkit land into a pile of snow, only to get his face covered again by Everkit. The light ginger she-cat lept forward, wanting to join in her siblings' frolick. She landed in a pile of snow, sending the icy powder up into the air and landing on top of Everkit and Daringkit.
"You both look goofy,"she giggled, batting her tail at the snowy clumps on her siblings.
Her ears pricked to hear another squeal of laughter behind her. Turning around, she spotted one of her denmate.
"Hi Silverkit!"she called, waving her tail happily.

Everkit let out a small eep when she was attacked by snow herself, Daringkit yelped, "Hey!" he meowed quietly, Everkit giggled, "Look at me i'ma snow cat!" She said happily, Daringkit smiled and pushed her into the snow, "Eeep!" She yelped again, "Wow that is fun!" Daringkit smiled at Maplekit, "Hi Silverkit" he said looking at her. Everkit lifted her head looking around covered with snow, she shook her head, "Hello!" She greeted to Silverkit softly. Her little blue eyes smiling happily. Daringkit was tempted to push her again.

Silverkit walked tpwards the other kits that were playing in the snow. "Hello Maplekit, Daringkit, and Everkit." She said kindly. She smiled. It was great that there were other kits in the nursury to play with, she did not like the thought of being the only kit in the nursury. Silverkit could not wait to be apprenticed either. She would finally be able to get out of the nursury then and see everything outside the camp.
Silverkit then jumped into another pile of snow, sending it flying all around. She laughed again.

Fogkit yawned and stretched his small paws. He looked around the nursery and noticed his siblings were no where to be found. Curious, he padded to the entrance to the den and stared out at the blanket of white before him. He spotted Maplekit, Daringkit, Everkit, and Silverkit. He wanted eagerly to join them in the fun snow but became distracted by a small mound in the snow. He leapt at the mound only to discover a small pebble. With his curiosity sated, he looked to his siblings again.

"Hello, Daringkit, Everkit, Silverkit and Maplekit. Can I play too?" his meow was somewhat quiet in the backdrop of their merriment but he didn't let that discourage him. He jumped into the snow and batted at the white blanket causing a sizable amount of snow to spray in every direction. He lifted his head only to find himself in a self-made hole in the snow.

Maplekit gave a happy wave of welcome towards Fogkit. She opened her mouth to say something when the plumes of snow showered over her. She let out a yelp of surprise as the icy cold snow felt cold and wet as it touched her pelt. She finally came over the shock and realized how soft and fun it was to play with. The young ginger she-cat gave herself a shake, dislodging the snow.
"My turn!"she squeaked, but, instead of pouncing into a pile of snow, she ran at her brother Fogkit and bowled him over, letting out a growl of laughter.

Daringkit smiled and watched them play, in his mind a war was going on, fur was flying everywhere as he leapt out to attack his enemies. The vast snow was covered with red stuff that he forgot the name of. Staining it gently. It was a glorious battle, he stood upon a rock triumphantly. He's greyish brown head raised proudly, his chest puffed out to show his power. His blue eyes shimmered brightly. But his day dream disappeared with a puff of white snow launched at his face, "Cold!" he meowed falling off the small rock he had been standing on, Everkit gave a giggle of happiness. "Snow fight!" She cheered happily throwing snow towards the other kits. Daringkit jumped back up, "It's on now!" he meowed, "Wrong it was on when I threw snow at you!" Everkit smiled.

[Diria]

Silverkit watched as snow was sent flying in all directions. As she did this, snow hit her. Laughing she sent some in the direction the snow came from. Then, avoiding the snow, she inched closer to the other kits.
She loved this, playing in the snow with the other kits. She didn't want the day to end. Silverkit didn't know what could be funner than the snow. She sent some flying towards the closest kit. The snow was cold on her paws but she didn't mind. It was still fun even if it was cold.

Fogkit felt the air rush from his body as Maplekit barreled into him. Once he got it back he batted playfully at his sister before running off a short distance away. "You won't get me that easily!" he meowed playfully as he took off. He hadn't remembered the ice though and once his paws made contact he slipped and slid right into another kit. He let out an oomph at impact.

Fogkit opened his eyes to find that he had bumped into Daringkit and instead of staying to face his brother, he turned and slid across the ice again. This time he hit snow and ended up buried in the cold slush. He tried in vain to pull himself out.

"I sure can catch you!"Maplekit retorted, leaping to her paws. As she tried to scurry after her brother, a clump of snow hit her around the cheek. The she-kit got startled by the sudden cold and her paws slipped under the icy floor, tumbling down her side.
"No fair!" the light ginger she-cat squeaked, jumping back onto her paws to glare at Everkit. She got a pawful of snow and swatted it back at her sister, purring with laughter.

Everkit laughed happily as snow flew everywhere?! It was in the sky in the air every every everywhere!! "Let's go, Let's go, let's not wait for the frosty snow!!" She cried out happily. Daringkit smiled happily and looked about all of a sudden he squeaked as he was tackled by Fogkit, "Hey!" he meowed, he jumped up and raced after his brother slipping on the ice and sliding away. Everkit giggled as she watched, but suddenly, she was hit with snow, she glanced at Maplekit, "Oh no you didn't!" She cried and took off after her sister, picking up snow and launching it at her.

Maplekit quickly swerved to the right, dodging the clump of snow that her sister had hurled.
"Missed me!"Maplekit yowled triumphantly, kicking up snow towards Everkit. With a shrill mewl of laughter, the ginger she-cat hopped towards Everkit and launched herself at her sister.

[Diria]

Silverkit rushed to dodge the snow that was coming for her. Multiple times she had stepped to the side, the snow just missing her. Eventually though, she was hit, instantly covering her fur in a thin layer of snow. She shook it off and laughed. Then, she threw some snow back at the other kits. Silverkit then dodged more snow, making her way closer to Everkit and Maplekit. Snow hit once again, throwing her off balance. She got back up, smiled and continued making her way towards the two kits. When she got close enough, she sent snow flying towards them.

Everkit giggled when maplekit screeched 'Missed me!' "Next time I'll get you!" Everkit meowed, laughing happily. "Eep!" She yelped, doging the snow that had been flying towards her. She casted a glance at Maplekit who was now running towards her, she ducked behing Daringkit who had been staring off into space on another adventure in his head. He got tackled instead of her, "Hey!" He meowed snapping back to reality, Everkit giggled, "Sorry" She said, then blinked when she got covered in snow again, "It's on Silverkit!" She meowed shaking the snow off and throwing some at her.

Fogkit pulled his head from it's prison of snow and shook off the extra snow that had gotten on him when he impacted. He looked around at his siblings and Silverkit playing in the snow and he found himself very proud. They would all grow up in the clan and become warriors together. He felt the warmth of that pride in his chest and it gave him the push he needed to join back in on the fun. "Don't forget about me!" Fogkit called before jumping at Silverkit. He expected to collide with her but instead he tripped over his own paw and fell face first back into the snow.

Silverkit was hit with a blast of snow. She shook it off sending and sent some more snow flying back at Everkit. She then saw Fogkit coming towards her. She smiled and prepared to be knocked over, but then the orange tabby kit fell. Silverkit wondered if he was okay. Fogkit was probably fine but she thought she might as well check. She walked up to him dodging the snow that the other kits were kicking at each other. "Are you okay Fogkit?" Silverkit asked. She was concerned about Fogkit. She didn't want to stop playing either.

"Hey guys, we should explore around camp,"Maplekit prompted, bounding back over with tail raised in excitement.
"It'll be much fun than playing in the snow," the light ginger she-cat persuaded, kneading her paws on the ground, hoping her littermates would agree. She had always wanted to see what Puddlestar's den looked like.

Everkit smiled happily she jumped beside her sister, "Exploring!" She said, then looked at Fogkit, "OH NO! Are you okay?" She asked, worriedly, as she bounded over, to Fogkit and Silverkit. Daringkit looked at them curiously, "I love exploring!" He meowed he looked about his mind filled with glorious day dreams as it normally was, "Maplekit and Daringkit, adventurers/explorers!" he meowed happily, as he looked off for something to explore, in the ground coated with snow, everything new and different.

[Ruby]

Fogkit raised his head and winced. He felt a dull pain on his nose but it was more annoying than painful. He waved his tail and meowed, "I'm fine. I just hurt my nose." With that he turned to Maplekit with a gleam of excitement in his blue eyes. "That sounds like fun! I wanna be an explorer/adventurer too!" He bounded away to Maplekit and Daringkit before turning back to Silverkit and Everkit. "Come on you two! Let's go be brave warrior explorers!" He completely forgot the dull ache of his soft pink nose simply because there was nothing he wanted more than to see all of the camp and play with his fellow kits.

Silverkit glanced at Everkit, then back at the other three kits. She really did want to explore the camp as well. "I'm coming!" She replied, rushing to join Fogkit and the others. She was glad that Fogkit was okay and she was hoping that the others would let her and Everkit explore with them too.
As she neared the three kits, she slowed down. Turning back to Everkit, she shouted. "Come on Everkit! It'll be fun!" Silverkit loved to explore, it was her favorite thing to do. At least, besides playing with the other kits.

"Let's go to the apprentices den!"Maplekit squeaked excitedly. "Maybe if we choose where to sleep and show how proactive we are, they'll let us sleep there. Maybe they'll even let us be apprentices early!"the light ginger she-cat mewed with anticipation. Beckoning her tail for the others to follow, the little kit bounded towards the direction of the camp. However, the progress was slow for her stubby legs and soft pads were slipping and sliding ont he snow, often landing into a particularly deep pile that caused the snow to rise to her muzzle.
