The white leader shivered as the pads of her paws lightly stepped out onto the frozen mud. It was weird how in the summer the training swamp was messy and wet... but in leaf bare it was just a cold, solid area of frozen mud and whatever else was lurking in it before the cold enclosed them in a coffin of mud. Twilightstar looked behind her at Tigerpaw. "Have you ever trained here in leaf bare?" She asked. "It is a lot different than when it is warm. Both good and bad. First off, you can't dig you claws in the mud... it can snap your claws in half." She looked down at her claws, remembering when she was training here and she tried to jump after digging her claws into the ice. She was limping for weeks, not to mention not being able to climb trees...

Tigerpaw nodded,"Yea. I know. I tag along with other apprentices sometimes because I know your worried and busy most of the time. So I just go with other apprentices,warriors and patrols. I don't like to bug cats and you know that." He padded beside her,his slick fur not protecting him much from the cold leaf-bare,though the wind wasn't really a problem since they where in the forest and te dense trees really stopped the wind from flowing them down. He liked it that way and couldn't imagine being Dawnclan and being frozen to an icicle.

Twilightstar frowned. "I am sorry, Tigerpaw." She said. "I haven't given you as much attention as an apprentice needs. I wish I could have spent more time practicing with you. But I am glad to hear that you took it upon yourself to keep training..." She looked at Tigerpaw with a very serious look. Then she blinked and looked behind her. "But enough of the heavy topics. Lets get to practicing!" Her expression changed into her normal pleasant look. She walked out to the center of the clearer swamp area. "So, what do you need or want to practice?"

His ears pricked as the bulky tom dissapeared into the shadows,clearly not going to answer her question. Not making any sound,and using the wind to his advantage made easy though he didn't underestimate his mentor. She was very wise and had practice a lot in these things and that he knew she had against him. His claws sheathed and arched in his bow-string way he shot towards her quickly,making sure not to stumble over his own massive paws or long tail. Rampaging into her he smiled. {Gotta go}

Twilightstar stood frozen when her apprentice disappeared. She silenced her breathing so she could hear every sound around her. She closed her blue eyes. If a cat looked at her at that moment, they would think she was meditating or something. But that was not the case. She was feeling the wind, the sound, and the ground around her. She felt the vibration of his paw hitting the ground. She quickly spun her body around, almost jumping over Tigerpaw. She landed on her feet. "Step a little lighter." She noted to him. She braced herself for his next move.

He smiled still,"Mhmm. Though that was trying since these squirrels can't step softer than a rampaging badger." His goofy little tone annoyed some,but others thought it was quite cute. A split second and he had flailed and there he was,pinning Twilightstar to the ground with his chin ducked and pads planted on her pads,a defining laugh in the face,"I have gotten faster to say the least." His quirky mood was fun and entertaining,being with his Leader... And mentor was like a double funafye. His party mood didn't catch his off his gaurd though.

Twilightstar's crystal eyes widened, shocked that he had pinned her down. "Well, well. I see your not going to go easy on an old kitty like me?" She said, humor in her voice. "But, you seem to have forgotten something." She pushed up with her front legs, flipping her body up, pushing him off. "If you hold the shoulders, it is harder to get up." she winked as she circled him. She walked with grace and elegance, making it almost look like she was dancing. When she was an apprentice, her mentor taught her more about defense and dodging than on actually getting into fighting. Though she learned fighting techniques, her mentor didn't go into as much depth about them with her as he did with the art of making enemies attacks back fire on them by simply stepping away at the right time and jumping the correct way.

Tigerpaw smiled his creaky little smile,"Well,well you want to play?" He teased,gong into his own dance,though slopy and chopy of his massive size. His big tabby muscles rippling underneath his slick strewn pet an large blue eyes that gazed hardly into Twilightstar's eyes. "When do I get to be a warrior?" He questioned,something random. From Tigerpaw! Imagine that. Curisioty killed the cat. But it was his mentor so what the hey,why no ask? Glancing symltaniousy around incase he was being tested by the intelligent leader he had as a mentor. Yet sometimes he couldn't even believe she was his mentor.

A small smile crossed the lean leader's lips. "You have outstanding patience, Tigerpaw. You show great character and dedication to your clan. You know how to hunt and protect when needed. You have grown... mentally and certainly physically." She laughed, looked at her apprentice who was larger than her. Then, Twilightstar looked into Tigerpaw's eyes. "But, the real question is... are you ready to be a warrior? Are you ready to take on the responsibility and work that applies to the life of every warrior? Are you ready to move up?" Her voice was soft and gentle. It was a delicate question. Most kits will answer it without think. Just saying 'YES YES YES!' But a true warrior gave the question thought.
