Every moon it comes and every season the young she-cat had to prepare for its cold up bringing with as much herbs and berries as needed for her clan. She had her usual runs, running in and out of camp for whatever she needed and never once had help with her work. Cobwebs and Poppy seeds, Dock and Goldenrod, all the herbs used to help her clan. But today was a Different problem and yet things were already starting to get colder.
"I was afraid of this." Mirrorleaf mewed, her voice rather low as she nosed through her assortment of herbs with her tail twitching abit. "I have less Cat mint then ever now. This will not go well if that greencough comes up again." Shaking her head for a moment, the snow white she-cat turned her attention to her new apprentice, who was just been given the chance to become the next Medicine cat and gave out a slight huff in disappointment.
"Dustpaw? Could you come here for one moment?" Mirrorleaf spoke, her tone soft as always and turned her sights back onto the herbs with her feather-like tail wrapping around her paws. She would rather teach her apprentice something then nothing at all.

Cresentpaw woke up swiftly, the look on her angelic face, calm and sweet, yet the hidden look of darkness in her eyes was clear to see so early in the morning. Her beautiful light brown fur glissened in the gentle morning light that had been seeping through the den's entrance, her darker brown fur on her paws matched the line on her head. The dark brown fur was also on her ears and tail, a a lighter brown on her back but it was still darker then the rest of her fur. The fur on her nuzzle, neck, chest, undertail and belly was much lighter and more pale then the rest of her. She looked down with her green eyes a play look casted upon a another cat who had been laying right next to her. The small cat was a tom, he was her brother, but she was the adopted one, she had been adopted when she was found abandoned in the moorland. The small tom's name was Dustpaw, his fur was a very dark brown, and his paws were a dark grey colour. He had white on his belly and the tip of his tail. but his whole body was covered with dark black spots. Cresentpaw nudged him a bit, Dustpaw yawned and opened his eyes, they were a dark brown just like his pelt, "Morning sleepy head" Cresentpaw chuckled at him. Dustpaw smiled sheepishly, "H-Hi" He studdered a bit to his beloved sister.
After a while they got up and padded out of the den, they had gotten a rabbit to share between them happily, the two siblings were always having fun together, Cresentpaw was the clear leader out of the two and Dustpaw was a follower, Cresentpaw was seeling calm that morning and was often only nice to Dustpaw. "Hey Dustpaw I think your mentor is calling you" Cresentpaw snickered slightly, Dustpaw looked down sheepishly, "Y-yes" he meowed, Cresentpa nudged him, "Go on I'll see you later" She told him padding off to find her own mentor, the only time of the day that the adopted siblings were apart. Dustpaw swallowed nervously and padded over to Mirrorleaf, "Y-Y-Yes?" Dustpaw meowed timidly to her.

( Myth did you apply for Med Cat Apprentice for DawnClan? Because this also Counts as an Audition for Med Cat Apprentice. If so, Pm me and I'll start one with you to see how well you do. If you don't have one, you can make one and enter it. Plus, I am also doing this as a Mini plot for the Two Real cats in place: Mirrorleaf of DawnClan and Leopordpaw of MistClan. Pm me if you want to know more, Myth ) The snow white she-cat flicked her right ear back with a slight smile on her muzzle. Its always the shy ones, poor dear. Mirrorleaf thought, purring abit as her light green gaze fell upon the young tom and let her feather-like tail unwrap abit. Without saying much yet, the Medicine Cat began to sort out herbs that she had already layied in front of her with her eyes trained on mainly the poppy seeds. After a few more paw moments and a few shakes of her head, the she-cat turned her head back to the spotted tom with a smile. "I want to see if you have been paying any attention to what I have been teaching you so far." Mirrorleaf began, her tail raising abit as she spoke and put one paw next to a few seeds that layed on a moist leaf. The seeds were in good form and looked lightly black in color. "What are these, little one?" She asked, turning her head to the opening of her den with a slight tilt of her head and mumbled something to herself.

Dustpaw looked down, his mentor was beautiful, by Dustpaw was undaunted by love, or she-cats, he was uninterested. Perhaps that was why he was chosen to be medicine cat apprentice, that or his shy personality. Or perhaps it was the strange dreams he had at night, Cresentpaw often told him that he spoke in his sleep. Dustpaw didn't know if he really did or not much he trusted his sister. Dustpaw looked at Mirrorleaf curiously, "O-Okay" He meowed, he often stammered and stuttered even when he was calm, he didn't know why he did, he just did. Dustpaw's brown eyes looked at the seeds she showed him, his gaze casted back to his mentor, his dark brown pelt shimmered in the dim light. The dark black spots rippled through his pelt. "P-P-P-Poppy seeds" He stammered trying to recall the name, his memory sometimes failed him, but camp in handy when he really needed it.

A purr rumbled in the Medicine cat's throat, her feather like tail waved gently around with a slight smile showing on her snow white muzzle. "Good, Dustpaw. Very good." Mirrorleaf meowed, moving her small paw away from the poppy seeds to swipe at the dark brown tom playfully with it. "Poppy seeds are used for many things, but mainly for calming those who are in pain. But I only use it if warriors move around to much, or if the pain becomes alittle to much for them." She explained to the apprentice, shifting her gaze from the tom to another one of her herbs, which was a orange sticky puddle with a sweet scent to it. Lucky for the she-cat, her mentor had taught her to use the leaf without getting her paws messy with the stuff.
"Now, what is this? And what is it used for?" Mirrorleaf asked, placing her right paw next to it and flicked her tail as she did so. She could still hear the meows that echoed through camp but as always, paid no mind to it. She thought that simple words and gossip were always the root of problems, unless a fight were to break out.

Dustpaw smiled happily, he was glad he remembered the name. Dustpaw blinked when he was swiped with her paw, he almost yelped but held it in as he smiled sheepishly at her. He nodded his head, "Poppy seeds used to calming and pain" He said repeating it so he could remember, he didn't want to forget after all. He didn't want to forget anything. He shifted his dark brown eyes towards her, he followed her gaze to a puddle of stuff, what was it called again? It was on the tip of his tongue, it was sweet and yummy. "H-H-Honey" He meowed, "U-used to s-s-s-soothe throats, and help kits s-swallow herbs" He stammered he remembered taking some honey when he was just a kit after he got a cough, it really helped him, and Cresentpaw tried to steal it. He looked up at him mentor Mirrorleaf, he hoped he was right, he didn't want to disappoint her and make her think he wasn't paying attention, he still had alot to learn, but he understood the basics, and whatever he remembered as a kit.

Mirrorleaf nodded her head, smiling abit as she did so and let her feather-like tail wave side to side. "Correct again, Little one. You remembered my lessons well." She mewed gently, her voice sounding like a mother who was caring for a kit. Flicking her right ear back, the snow white she-cat began to slowly wrap up the honey with her paws and picked it up gently between her teeth. Then with a glance at Dustpaw, quickly padded off to the hole in the wall where she vaished for a few moments. Then after a few ruffles here and there, she appeared out the hole with yet another herb. This one however, smelled even sweeter then the honey looked closely like a buch of little blue flowers.
Taking yet another glance at the dark spotted apprentice, the she-cat placed the sweet smelling herb onto the ground and began to gather up the Poppy Seeds with one paw. "Now," Mirrorleaf began, "I want you to smell that and tell me what it is, Dustpaw." She ended swiftly, picking up the folded leaf with the seeds and quickly padded back into the hole in a swift pace.

Dustpaw smiled happily he was glad to have remembered. He was good with his memory, probably the only thing he was really, really good at. Cresentpaw wonderful at pretty much everything, she was brave and strong, and out going, she was good at fighting and hunting. While he was shy and not very outspoken. He was clearly the follower, she was his leader, out of the two of them even growing up she was always... the one to lead, he merely followed. But he didn't mind. Dustpaw was happy to follow his adopted sister, happy to help her. But he was also glad to be a medicine cat apprentice, it was something he was finally good at. He smelt the herb quietly, "Oh i-it's um.... C-Catmint" He meowed taking time to recall the name.

Mirrorleaf flicked her ears twice, exiting the hole where her herbs were kepted and padded over to Dustpaw with a nod. "Very good, little one. Today though, we are running alittle short on Catmint and we need to see if they are ready for harvest" She spoke, padding toward the exit of camp and stopped to look at her apprentice again with a smile. "Please put the catmint away for me? We have alot to learn about this today." She added with a chuckle and let her feather-like tail wave back and fourth while she waited. (Writers block..... )
