Ok, The settings for this one is a sunny day. As always, the cold leaf-bare has made it's mark and ice still shows on some of the trees while prey becomes scarce to find. You have just been placed as the New Deputy of MoonClan and it is your job to make sure everything is running smoothly within camp. But today, Your leader says that a few warriors have scented an interuder in the forest and by the way it sounds, a rouge. Your leader asks you to take another warrior along and try to find this rouge before more problems begin to arise. The Leader will watch the camp while your gone, as you begin to find out which warrior shall go with your patrol. But who? This is where you begin Emzie, Good Luck

If Mooseface was asked what he hated most, rogues would be at the top of his list. He just could not stand them; the way they hissed and spat in the face of everything clan cats stand for and believe in. They constantly caused trouble for his dear Moonclan, and now one of them had the guts to trespass into clan territory! It made Mooseface's blood boil.
He was dying to go out into the forest and investigate and track down the annoying rouge, but he was instructed to wait for another warrior to go with him. This would be his first mission as the new deputy and he was excited to exercise his new power, not that his rank matter much to a rouge. Instead though, it would make a difference in the tom's confidence and how far he would go to fix the problem.
Mooseface was shocked when his name was called to be the new deputy. He never thought the other cats noticed him. Well, of course they NOTICED him; it was kinda hard to miss a cat of his size. Yet he didn't think they knew about how passionate he was about the warrior code and how fiercely loyal he was to the clan, or even how badly he wanted to have an important role like this. So now he knew at least Twilightstar noticed him, and it was a great feeling.
So here the large brown tom sat, in the camp clearing waiting for his warrior partner. He wasn't told who it would be, but wasn't the least bit concerned about the competence and skill of any of Moonclan's warriors, thus he did not worry about which cat would be joining him. He would be happy to take any of them with him. As he waited, he prayed to Starclan that this patrol would go as smoothly as possible.

A new moon has passed and a new deupty has made his mark on the clan, along with many other warriors speaking in the "It should have been me" tone. All except for one tom however, who was selected to go with the new deputy with much to his surprise and rank. But yet, he didn't argue or fuss, the young warrior just nodded and said that he would do his best. So there he sat, within the Warrior's den on his little patch of moss with his white tipped tail wrapped around his paws. His dark green eyes locked on a cat that sat in the camp clearing and with a flick of his right ear, rose to his paws.
Rainstorm was one of the young warriors that was sometimes labed as too stupid or not smart enough in others eyes. But yet, he was always the one to prove them wrong and his mentor says the same. Flicking his tail, the light brown tom padded out to meet Mooseface with a nod in greeting. "Greetings Mooseface. Twilightstar asked me to join you on patrol today." He meowed, stopping in front of the deupty with his tail twitching abit. "Whenever your ready, I'll follow." Rainstorm added, quite eager to start it.
(Worse muse ever......-.-)

Mooseface was relieved that his patrolling partner had finally appeared. He replied Rainstorm warmly, "Greetings, Rainstorm, glad to have you come along." The new deputy was not at all concerned about the competence of this particular warrior even though it seemed most of the other cats didn't think too highly of him. He was still a young tom, and Mooseface thought he had a lot of potential to become a great and respected warrior someday.
The large tom stood up, pointing with his tail toward the camp exit, "We should get going right now." he said with a nod. He then began to lead Rainstorm out of camp, and started to go over in his mind where they should head to first. He realized no one had mentioned exactly where in Moonclan's territory the rouge had been scented, "Rainstorm, did you hear any mention of a particular location the rouge was scented?" Mooseface felt a bit silly asking, thinking that he should be the more well informed of the pair, but whatever.

Rainstorm silenty padded beside the deupty in deep thought, his tail flicking back and forth as they moved down the forest trail. It seemed that the warriors were right about that rouge wandering in their own hunting grounds. But if that was the case, then why didn't it steal any prey yet? That troubled the light brown tom, thinking things though about how to take on the rouge, just in case the worse become known. Before he began to plan out his moves however, Mooseface asked him a question that snapped him to for a moment before going back in thought.
Location? Rainstorm thought, pushing aside his thoughts about the Deputy and nodded with his tail now raised in the air. "Many have been talking about the scent being around the border, but a feel that there is more to that. Mainly because two of the warriors, spoke of the scent nearing MistClan's border. Which leaves the swamp area a must to check, since the rouge hasn't seemed to hunt for prey yet." The light brown tom finished, flicking his ears back with a firm look on his face. Rainstorm really thought about every point before speaking his mind, even if he spoke in short sentences.

"I suppose we'll have a look through the swamp and do a patrol along the border and see what we find." He stated. The large tom then began leading the way out of camp and into the forest. As he padded, he made sure to keep all of his senses on high alert, being especially mindful of scents.
Luckily, he didn't pick up any odd scents close to camp, which was a relief. The last thing he wanted was a dangerous rouge hanging around close to his precious clan, threatening their lives. Hopefully, if they did find this troublesome intruder it wouldn't be a hostile cat. Mooseface didn't get his hopes up though, he knew from experience to always expect the worst. He was always sure to be prepared to take on the toughest challenges.

Rainstorm nodded silently, glad that at least the Deputy understood him and continued to padded along Mooseface's side with his ears flicking back every few times. His thoughts about the rouge seemed to keep himself more focused, raising his senses with each paw step they took and silence filled the forest air. The light brown tom flicked his ears back, the scent of damp water reached his nose and the sudden touch of damp mud seeped in between his paws.
He flinched abit, Flicking his tail in slight annoyence as they both countiued on their scerch for the wandering rouge. Sounds soon began to form, but these sounds were different then the normal prey. In fact, Rainstorm halted with his white paw raised and flicked his ears back toward the sounds. Mewing? It sounded more like light complaining and water. The light brown tom hissed lightly and flicked his tail over to where the sound was. "Over there." He whispered, lowering his ears abit and narrowed his eyes.
Meanwhile, a tan and brown cat slowly padded through the swamp with its odd curved tail lashing around. By the way it moved, it was a tom and very, very edgy. Flicking his ears back with another hiss, the tom slowly pawed at the muddy water and lightly snarled at himself. "How can any cat move through these waters? They must be mud Rats!" Cobra complained, his scared riddled his body and his tail bend with another cut along it's middle half. He was indeed mad, taking a path that he knew wouldn't move well in. But then, would any cat fair against him in size? He was about three times bigger then any normal cat and three times meaner. But again, size does not do well if they can't move in mud. Fussing to himself again, he failed to noice any sounds around him and the trouble he himself, was about to face.

[atrb=width,300,true][atrb=border,0,true] | [atrb=bgcolor,000000,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,300,true]As the cats entered the swampland, Mooseface began paying extra special attention to the scents in the area. The swamp itself and all of its odd plants filled his nostrils, but with his careful focus and attention he blocked them out to focus only on scents of other cats. As he did this, it became clear there was a rouge around, for he could smell an unfamiliar cat that didn't smell of any of the clans. The large brown tom felt his blood begin to boil, but tried his best to keep it under control.
Then, Rainstorm signaled that he had heard something. Mooseface carefully padded over near his clanmate to check it out, trying his best to be as quiet as possible. He could hear someone speaking and plodding through the mud! He took a few steps forward and peered through some brush. It was then he spotted the huge rouge that was grumbling as it made its way through the swamp.
Turning around, he whispered to Rainstorm, "I can see him....let's move in....." He took a few careful steps forward then pounced out only a few tail-lengths away from the rouge, his claws out and his lips in a snarl. "This is Moonclan territory! Leave NOW!" He growled. He knew this probably wouldn't be enough to get rid of this monstrous thing, so he prepared himself for battle. Mooseface wouldn't kill, no, but he would make darn sure this rouge never even put a whisker in Moonclan's territory again.

Rainstorm followed Mooseface with a snarl of his own, even though he was truely only half the size of both the deputy and the large rouge. But that didn't bother the light brown tom much, he was more of a fast mover in this type of area anyway and broze was always the worse since the mud would slow many cats down. Except for Moonclan cats. Letting out another snarl, Rainstorm waited to see what the battered up rouge would do with his claws slowly sliding out.
Cobra turned his head, but not even a inch of shock showed in his body and his eyes narrowed at the site of the two cats with an evil smirk on his muzzle."Really?" He spoke, turning his body toward them with a hiss and a glare from his yellow eyes. "And what are you going do about it? You oversized Mud Rat!" The rouge roared and lunged at the larger tom, forgeting about the light brown tom that stood beside the rat. For all he cared about, this moose-sized rat needed to be dealt with and pay for his bad day.
(I Thought it would added to the Rouge's mood....and Mooseface is the Star after all XD ))
