A small silver kit woke from her deep sleep. There was a chill inside the nursery, but she didn't mind at all. It was leaf-bare. Silverkit let out a large yawn. She wondered if any of the other kits were awake and took a look around the nursery. No one seemed to be awake. She sighed, then snuck outside into the camp. She sat down near the center of the camp and looked to the sky. It was still very early, but she really wanted to play. Silverkit got up and started to make footprints in the snow. Then she realized something. No one was awake yet, which meant she could try to escape from the camp. She crept towards the edge of the clearing.

Blind eyes may have been sightless, though the deputy knew how restless a kit could get when she was not apprenticed on time. Puddlestar had been shirking her duties, to do, well, StarClan knew what. As she lay awake in the warrior den, White-eyes could feel the vibe from the kit. Rising quietly, the ginger and black queen with pale, sightless eyes, stalked over to the kit, silently slipping ahead of her. She sat, very quietly, at the entrance of camp.
"Can't let you do that, Silverkit."

Silverkit froze. She had been caught. Looking towards the direction the voice had come from, seeing White-eyes. The kit walked back towards White-eyes with a saddened expression. When she neared the amber and black striped she-cat, she sat down. "I'm sorry White-eyes," She replied. "I just wanted to see what it was like outside of the camp." Silverkits heart was filled with sorrow, not only for getting caught but also for losing her chance to see outside the camp. She knew that she wasn't allowed to go out of the camp, but it tempted her. She was jealous of the apprentices since they were allowed.
