~Soot in the Snow, and what? A MOOSE?!~

Sootpaw padded through camp quietly, the beautiful she-cat, fur as black as soot or coal, for which she was named after, her pelt, though scruffy, was as soft as a birds down feathers. The tips of her ears stuck up a bit, against her will, she couldn't groom down the fur, no matter how hard she tried to. Her eyes a gentle Sky blue colour, which blaze brightly with passion whenever she fought, but for right now, they were just plain soft and gentle. Sootpaw was always shy, away from others, and not very outspoken. She didn't talk to much, but she did when she felt like it. And she was often looking for something to do. However this shy she-cat becomes completely different when she fights, she changes into a loud and strong, brave fighter, who isn't afraid to take risks and is reckless beyond belief. Everything her friend, Tombpaw was, and everything she is not.

Sootpaw blinked a bit, drawn from her thoughts by a pile of grey fur that she almost ran into. "S-Sorry" Cosmospaw stammered, "It's okay" Sootpaw meowed quietly,s lightly moving away, Cosmospaw sheepishly nodded her head and padded off, probably in search of her brothers or Heropaw. Sootpaw sighed and glanced about once more seeing Petaltail, a queen almost ready to give birth, she often hung out with Coalfur at night, how Sootpaw knew was because she had woken up in the night and went for a walk and seen the two of them together in the dark. She had to admit they were good together. Sadly Sootpaw felt there was no one for her in Moonclan, perhaps she was right on that note. Sootpaw noticed Petaltail going to get herself something to eat, Sootpaw felt bad and thought maybe she should have gotten her something earlier.

She padded over, "Hi Petaltail" She meowed quietly, "Hello Sootpaw" Petaltail smiled and sat down, "How are you?" The kind queen asked her, Sootpaw folded her ears back, "I'm okay" She said quietly, Petaltail smiled softly, "Here" Sootpaw said grabbing her a nice vole, "Oh my, thank you" Petaltail said, "I can carry it back" Sootpaw offered, for a queen even Sootpaw couldn't sit back and watch, she'd feel to bad about it. "Sootpaw, thank you very much" Petaltail purred softly. The headed to the nursery, Sootpaw sat with her for a little bit, while Petaltail ate, when she was done Sootpaw took the bones and went to bury them. It was there she almost ran into Shatteredlight, the Queen of ice. The cat was beautiful, but she was so mean to everyone and she thought of herself like she was a monster. Shatteredlight shot Sootpaw an icy cold glare, which made Sootpaw's black fur bristle, she ran away swiftly. It was then she seen Ravenpaw, Ravenpaw who looked alot like her.

They looked alot alike, but Sootpaw was way bigger then Ravenpaw, the tiny she-cat was almost the size of a kit and Sootpaw was apprentice sized. Sootpaw's eyes were a lighter blue then Ravenpaw's was, and her pelt was more fluffy where Ravenpaw's was sleek. Ravenpaw's tail was lean, and Sootpaw's large and fluffy. Sootpaw noticed she looked a bit happier lately, though she didn't know why. Sootpaw moved away swiftly, it was the average morning for her, now, if only she could find her new mentor. She padded around curiously in the Snow in search of him. Not knowing who she would run into next.

He opted not to wake Sootpaw to bring her along, since he wanted to make sure she got as much rest as possible before starting to train. He recalled becoming an apprentice and how long it took him to fall asleep the first night since he was far too anxious and nervous. The large tom was happy to find Sootpaw already out and about when he returned from the patrol. He dropped a few morsels of prey into the pile that he found along the way, then made his way over to the dark apprentice. "Good morning, Sootpaw." He called to her, "Ready to start training?"

Sootpaw glanced up at her mentor, she dipped her head in greetings. "Y-Yes" She meowed quietly looking down. She looked at him with her sky blue eyes, she was a bit different, she was shy, but she was also.. loud. She didn't know how she could be two cats in one, but that's what it felt like to her. "What are you going to teach me first?" She asked, she knew she was older then the average apprentice, but she had been missing for moons. She managed to come back, but that tripped had changed her.. she still missed poor Tombpaw who was still missing. She waited for his return each and every day.
