LavieAs night waned into it's full darkness, Two exhausted felines took refuge into the coolness of the moon cave. Eight days of travel had burnt most of the cats energy reserves leaving only raw paws and a feeling of dread. Or at least for one of the cats..
Laying her head across the long winter coat covered back of her tabby Friend, Lavie watched the entrance as the haft-moon rose higher into the sky. She had kept a secret from the one year old beneath her. The growing waist line that now seemed to get bigger even as everything else trims down was obviously not from health. She carried her mates kittens and feared their future. Yet if she had stayed, There would be no future.
Her thoughts turned to questions as she pondered the case of raising kits as a loner. Did others of this land take away the new life of a different gene? The wild spots vs her silver stripes were a mystery as to what may come out of the combination.
Lavie scrambled to her feet just as she felt the bile rise to her throat. A couple steps away she proceeded to spill out the remaining of a few grubs that had made up the days meal. It was the second time that day that she had gotten sick. A sign that along with aches that were very much like that of cervix stretching make her want to weep. One litter had already failed to thrive..was this second one going to end with the same fate?
Fritz
Dreams.. She always had dreams. Those crazy wild things that make her twitch and turn where ever she slept. Scary thought was...most of those dreams came true. Perhaps even the ones that do not just have yet to come? Perhaps this was all just crazy talk? Was she crazy?
Mad as a hatter was the term that most people thought about the Young cat. She did things out of ordinary and choose to combine the different chemicals in the world natural life to watch them with intense interest.
Never had she dreamed of going away from her den with it's many collections of human artifacts but something new drove her away. The prospect of dieing somewhere else amused her to great heights.
Death...That was another thing. She loved it. Too pounce over a startled mouse and watch its body wither away sent chills through her body. Dead things were to be respected but observed. The process of how they died figured out by the wounds, or the smells that now possed the body.
But than. Something new she had never felt before was the peace of mind as her freind groomed those little places she could not reach herself. Never in her right mind would she concider a freind untill she found lavie. The older cat was amazing and could almost be thought of as a mother to her.
But Fritz also felt worried as the sickness of her freind was not well hidden from her keen sense of the world around her. Another emotion...Fear of being left behind.
