[atrb=width,300,true][atrb=border,0,true] | [atrb=bgcolor,0c7400,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,300,true] Its that time again. A half moon lit the night sky and yet another trek to StarClan's most sacred place, the MoonCave. StarClan was already watching them as the Silverpelt shined across, appearing as a line of stars that were racing through the night. Of course, the white she-cat knew that this was another moon to bond with her apprentice and learn of news from the rest of the Medicine cats. Though, it seemed quite odd. Tonight was yet a different night, compared to the half moons before and questions began to race through her mind.
Mirrorleaf stood on a hill near the pathway that lead to the Mooncave, awaiting the others with watchfully eyes and her feather-like tail flicked every few mins in slight annoyance. While questions ran through her mind, her patience was also beginning to wear thin and her pelt slowly began to prickle. Her lime green eyes remained calm however, as if unfased by her growing anger that welled inside her and slowly sighed. "It would take the others time to get here." She reminded herself, glancing around to see if her apprentice had followed her. After what seemed like a few mins, Mirrorleaf raised her head and called out with a slight yowl.
"Pansypaw! Come here!" She called, her eyes flashing with a hint of anger and a flick of her flowing white tail.

Even though she is not a medicine cat anymore, thanks to her retirement, she still love to come with her former medicine cat apprentice, Shadowsong, and Ravenpaw. No, wait, she lied. She came because she is nosy. Snooping around, stealing information from other medicine cats is her intention. Ha, no. Of course, she came along for the ride because she still felt it is her honor to be a part of the circle. It is very rare to have a retired medicine cat. Life seem stubborn enough not to take her away yet. She knew that it is not her time to leave yet. She knew there is one more duty to perform before it is her time... She had a dream. A nasty one. And she is anxious. It is not normal for the old cat to be anxious of a such foolish dream, but she still did not want to speak of it, but it is a duty she abhor the most, telling others about omens. Yes, she recieved an omen. An omen too nasty to foretold of a terrible disease. A disease that she once heard ages ago when she was a young apprentice, herself. Her former mentor once told her of a sinister disease that turned out to be legendary, but faded away to the dusts when no medicine cat wish to hear about it. Shaking her head, she kept thinking of a word over and over again... Rabies... She shook the word away in terror, but she did not show it. Sighing, she spotted Mirrorleaf in the MoonCave with her apprentice, Pansypaw. She greeted the DawnClan cats with a polite nod. She is not a happy chatter. A bit more like a silent type. Blunt and short, she liked that. [/size]

[atrb=width,300,true][atrb=border,0,true] | [atrb=bgcolor,260049,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,300,true]Pansypaw was happy. Well, he normally was happy, but lately he had been in a particularly good mood. Of course, he was extremely excited that he was chosen to be apprenticed to the medicine cat only a short time ago. He hadn't trained that much yet, but already knew he loved learning the uses of different plants and herbs. It was disheartening that leafbare had killed all the greenery, leaving only the dried herbs in the store for him to look at. Ah, how he loved to just look at plants....
Pansypaw had been pawing at a tiny leaf-less tree when he heard Mirrorleaf call to him. He quickly padded up to her, sure to apologize, "Sorry, Mirrorleaf...." His head was dipped down low when he spoke, and his apology was sincere. He knew how important today was, being the half-moon and thus the time of the medicine cat meeting. It would be Pansypaw's first time attending one, and he was very excited. So very excited that he became fidgety a quite easily distracted.

[atrb=width,300,true][atrb=border,0,true] | [atrb=bgcolor,0c7400,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,300,true] Mirrorleaf began to ease abit as the former medicine Cat, Appleblossem and the two newest Medicine cats slowly showed their faces over the hill and let a small smile cross her muzzle. To make things a bit easier on her part, her apprentice showed up as well and let her sight drift over to Pansypaw with a nod. "It's quite ok, little one." The snow white she-cat spoke, her bright green eyes remaining gentle and turned her head back to the MoonClan cats with a wave of her feather like tail. "Greetings." She spoke in return, though the old medicine cat didn't speak at all. Mirrorleaf knew Appleblossem well though, even if for a short period of time and took much use to the she-cat's silent nods. The others however, she had yet to meet and although she heard of Shadowsong, the apprentice that the MoonClan cat had was a mystery.
Flicking her ears back with a slight raise of her eyebrow, Mirrorleaf returned her attention to Pansypaw and begin to note about what to do next since it would be his first time. "Pansypaw." She began, her voice soft and comforting as she begin turn toward Appleblossem. "Once the other two Medicine cats arrive, come find me. I need to speak with Appleblossem." She finished, padding over to the former med cat with a slight smile on her muzzle.
"My, My. It's been quite a few moons since I have seen you. How's the prey running?" Mirrorleaf asked Appleblossem, glancing over to her apprentice for a moment before returning her gaze to the MoonClan she-cat.

The old medicine cat's mind groaned uneasily. She did not want to have a chat with any medicine cats, but it is her fault to come here. However, all medicine cats knew her well enough to leave her alone. She only shrugged at Mirrorleaf, "I am good. Everything is fine." With a flick of horror in her purple eyes, she closed her eyes to push back horrible images of the omen she received a few nights ago. Taking a deep breath, she told Mirrorleaf, "What about yourself?" [/size]

Sagecloud found herself making her way to the meeting. This was to be here first Medicine Cat Meeting, and somehow it frightened her, but also a sense of wonderment and excitement proudly stood over it. She knew Mirrorleaf, and they had barely talked, but they didn't seem to have anything that great. But, what if the medicine cats didn't like her? Sagecloud quickly shook the thought from her mind, and her paws carried her to the Mooncave.
Slowly, spots came into her view. A relief of sudden awkward fell on her. She knew but one female up there, and they had met once. Sighing, she shook her long brindle-hued pelt, and blinked a view times, green hazy eyes. She began to trek up the hill, and slowly approached the talking cats. When she glanced at Mirrorleaf, she saw her talking with an older cat. Politely, she sat down a few feet away, as not to seem as though she were eavesdropping.
Sagecloud saw a apprentice, and smiled sweetly at him for a second, before looking down at the grass. Her mind quickly found a topic to wander on. Life was such a great thing, something so easily tooken for granted for. However, nature didn't betray that law. It seemed eternal, and Sagecloud found herself smiling at the very thought; Nature and life were two very different thing, yet she deeply believed in both. As her mind kept it's pace at thought, she said nothing as the sound of the others' were fading to her thoughts. [/blockquote]

[atrb=width,300,true][atrb=border,0,true] | [atrb=bgcolor,260049,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,300,true]Pansypaw was relieved that Mirrorleaf wasn't mad at him. He wanted so desperately for her to like him, and for him to be the best medicine cat apprentice he could be. She instructed him to watch for the other medicine cats to arrive, so he responded dutifully, "Sure thing, Mirrorleaf!" As she padded away from him and over to Appleblossom, Pansypaw decided he would go find a better spot to watch from. He found a good spot on top of a rock just big enough for him to lay on. Pansypaw plopped down on it, facing towards the path that the other cats would be coming from. Spotting the form of another cat coming up the hill, the young tom got very excited. He suddenly sat up and watched the she-cat approach.
She smiled at him for a moment, so Pansypaw decided he would go say hi. It was so exciting to meet another medicine cat! Imagine all the things this cat could teach him! He bounded over next to her, skidded to a halt, and introduced himself, "Hi, I'm Pansypaw! I'm Mirrorleaf's new apprentice, from Dawnclan."

[atrb=width,300,true][atrb=border,0,true] | [atrb=bgcolor,0c7400,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,300,true] Mirrorleaf flicked her ears back, hearing Appleblossem's replay and smiled a bit. She should have known that the old she-cat wasn't much of a talker, but then again, she never was in her younger moons either. But a simple flash of fear, caught her eyes with a sudden focus that she could have sworn that something had warned her of it's coming. Something was wrong and as Appleblossem closed her eyes, Mirrorleaf took those few moments to look toward the Rock that glowed slightly under the moon's light.
She had never seen the former Medicine cat like that, not even the moons when she herself was an apprentice and that enough made Mirrorleaf worried about the outcome of her own clan. StarClan....What's wrong? She thought, turning her sight back to Appleblossem in time to see the she-cat open her eyes again. As if on cue, the scent of a FireClan cat appeared and smiled with a flick of her feather-like tail. It was Sagecloud, one that she had talked to rarely on her daily catmint run and flicked her ears back again with a slight nod. "Everything is fine as always, Appleblossem." Mirrorleaf spoke calmly, her bright green eyes scanning the old cat's eyes for a moment before nodding again and turned her head to Sagecloud with a smile.
"Sagecloud. Good to see you again without the bounds of our own clans." She chuckled, noticing her apprentice stop in front of the she-cat and glanced at Appleblossem. Though within that glance that Mirrorleaf gave, her eyes showed a slight wonder for why she had seen that odd feeling and assumed that something was indeed wrong. But with a flick of her tail, the snow white she-cat began to watch the other two in wait of the final Medicine Cat to arrive.

That glance. She knew that glance was for. The young medicine cat knew something is going on, but Appleblossom could not tell her why yet. It is not right timing. Soon, she would let all medicine cats know why she acted like this. They would dislike this news after all. Funny, how the life is. It is always medicine cats' duty to receive bad news from StarClan and let everybody else know about it. It sucks, being the bearer with sinister tales to unfold.
With another glance toward Mirrorleaf, Appleblossom told her simply, "Follow me." She twisted her tail as she rose to her paws and began padding deeper in the tunnel. As she reached the darkest corner, she gave a cold, stotic glare to all medicine cats to stay away for a while. She was waiting for Mirrorleaf's approach. [/size]

Sagecloud lifted her head as the one called Pansypaw approached, and introduced himself. With a warm smile, Sagecloud nodded in respect. Pansypaw, a pleasure to meet you. I hope you're enjoying your time as a med, for there are always pleasures in it, even in the darkest days of your lives. Sagecloud said, her wise voice holding nothing but truth and a grim meaning. For it was true however. She stood up, and introduced herself.
I am Sagecloud, medicine cat of the FireClan. She said sweetly, blinking for a moment. Her gaze traveled to Mirrorleaf, whom had come to greet her for a second. Indeed Mirrorleaf. Always a pleasure to see you, dear. She smiled, cocking her head with it on her face, a sweet gesture.
Sagecloud turned to the last medicine cat with them. The med had almost glared, and sulked off to an area where anyone couldn't hear her and Mirrorleaf. With a nod of understanding, Sagecloud turned back to Pansypaw, ready to converse with this young apprentice. He seemed enthusiastic, and Sagecloud liked that. She smiled at him, and waited.

[atrb=width,300,true][atrb=border,0,true] | [atrb=bgcolor,0c7400,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,300,true] Mirrorleaf smiled in return, her bright green eyes showing the usual feeling of peace before glancing over at Appleblossem once more. This time however, the young medicine cat was left a bit shocked by the sudden change of thought and as the old she-cat padded into the darkest corner, the snow white she-cat seemed to question in her mind why. Was my thoughts right? Is something indeed wrong with tonight?, She thought, turning her head back to Sagecloud and Pansypaw with her gaze looking deep in thought. After a few moments though, Mirrorleaf pushed aside these thoughts and with a nod to them, turned and padded to Appleblossem with a slight hard look in her eyes.
She was already forming in her mind what to say, reaching the she-cat who was hiding within the darkness and flicked her ears slightly backward before sitting down with her tail laying beside her right paw. She was clearly visible in the darkness, her snow white pelt all to bright and impossible to blend in. If she was up against a full grown fox, she would have a hard time hiding from it. Flicking her ears back once again, Mirrorleaf asked in a low voice that only Appleblossem could hear. "I know it may be none of my business but..why are you afraid?"
( , sorry about the wait guys. Hope this helps some.)

[Don't sweat it (:] Purple eyes gleamed in the darkness. Any cat would shudder at the purple wickedness. Appleblossom knew that she would have to tell this white-furred cat with green eyes the truth. Mirrorleaf would find out sooner than later. It does not hurt to tell her anyway. Appleblossom whispered under her breath, too low for any cat to hear. "StarClan sent me an omen."
She held her breath for a nanosecond. That was enough to scare the white cat, if possible. [/size]
