Silver could smell them. The scent of rabbit filled her nose, and she could smell cat scnets all around her. She couldn't distinguish what was new and old, but she followed her nose. Her paw hurt slightly, the occasional twinge making her wince in pain, remembering the twoleg harshly throwing her from the monster's belly. All she remembered was the harsh grass of the thunderpath, and then cold.
The coldness had engulfed her, the water around her roaring. She had spluttered to the surface, her paws thrashly wildly. Cat's were not meant to swim! She longed for the warmness of her mother, to play with her brothers and sisters. The blood pounded in her ears, and she had struggled onto the riverbank.
Her coat had been wet and dark, her beautiful silver pelt that her mother had named her for, dirty with twigs and and mud. She had shivered, the coldness creeping into her limbs. She has smelled cat's, and followed her nose. She winced, her paw tender. It had been ripped on the thunderpath, and the pebbles in the river were small and sharp
She shivered, not so much from the cold, but from the utter aloneness, as the wind howled over the desolate plain. She pushed on though, the scent of cats filling her nose. Her whickers twicthed, sensing getting closer. The groudn beneath her was moorland, and she gave a small squeal as she almost fell down a rabbit hole. She felt like crying for her mother. She wanted home.
All she could feel now was the dull ache in her paw's. The smell of the cats was overwhelming now, and she sensed she was getting closer. She stumbled for a moment, nearing the top of a small hill. She made one last final surge, getting closer now.
Until then, she had not realised what she may be walking into, the number of cats or how hostile they were. She was brinking on 6 moons old, and barely old enough to defend herself against a battlion of cats. She shrunk back for a moment, slinking low to the ground. She bit her tongue though, plucking up her courage. She walked the last few steps to the top of the hill.....

((Nice rp ^^)) A dark ginger tom was just coming out of camp, eager to start the day with huting. He was in quite a good mood, head held high and amber eyes sparkling. He opened his mouth, breathing in the crisp air, half-expecting to smell rabbit when something else hit his scent gland. The young tom froze, ears pricked up as he smelled it again. Yup. Intruder. His fur bristled, but mostly from excitement instead of aggression. He was eager to catch a rogue or loner to prove himself to the Clan. The young Infernopaw began to slink towards the foreign scent, using the tall grass to hide his movements, though his dark red fur seemed to stand out too much. Suddenly he spotted a flash of silver and he froze in place, eyes narrowing as he watched the moving feline body, rustling through the grass. He let out a low growl, unsheathing his claws as he readied himself. However, when the figure finally began to grow clearer, he realized it was only a kit. Instantly, he let down all aggression and sheathed back his claws. His head cocked to the side as he observed her approach camp. She seemed to be in a bit of a bad condition and it made him pity her. "Hi there,"he called, emerging from his camoflauge among the grass and greeting the young kit with a friendly wave of his tail.

A bigger cat prowled the windy fields all day long and was now returning home. Before she could reach the camp, she paused as two scents flew in her nose. One scent was familiar while another was not...
Her body was completely hidden in the tall grasses, her black pelt could be a shadow to any cat. More than fifty moons roaming the opened sky fields and pastures gave her the greatest advantage of all, giving her a great talent she could master at, hiding her scent even no wind could carry her scent off. She learned this techinique by crouching down very low to the ground and rolled her fur in the mud underneath all green plants. That way, she would smell like grass and wild flowers.
Another crawl forward, she looked up and saw a dark ginger tom. Infernopaw. She wondered what brought him here. She could smell rabbits, but that was nothing new. Rabbits were everywhere. They were a bit tricky to hunt and from the way Infernopaw's eyes were shining, she knew the young apprentice has so much to learn in moons to come about rabbits. Giving herself a tiny smile, she tried to disgunish the unfamiliar scent.
Unlike other cats in DawnClan, she was not too quick to judge rogues and loners. They could be a danger to her clan since that great battle with Rovek. She would never forget the rogue's strange sister stepping in action and saved the day. Deeply inside, she felt deep respect for the gray tabby. The gray tabby rogue gave her a new view for rogues. Not all rogues are evil. That is why so many cats are too quick to jump on the conclusions and try to get all intruders off their land. She completely understand why they do that. It is in the warrior code, but intruders did not mean rogues and loners. Intruders mean any cats that are a danger to the clans. In her whole life, she met some friendly loners and rogues.
Another step forward, she spotted a...kit. Kit? But once again, she did not judge. She knew that these two young cats would never spot her the whole day long. She could stay hidden if she wish, but she decided not to. Standing up to her full height, her long legs let out an 'ahh' of comfort. She did not want to look too big because it might imidiate the stranger. So she tried to be small as she could as she approached them.
She dipped her head toward the dark ginger tom. "Infernopaw." Then she looked at the kit with friendiliness in her eyes. "Hello." [/size]

(thankies ^.^ sorry for the long wait guys, lost all my muse when I lost my post this morning when comp shut down half way through posting >.>)
Silver smelt the cat, but she was unaware of the danger that scent held. She had yet to know stale from fresh, and being this close to camp, all the individual scents were mixed and amshed. Suddenly, she heard the bristling of fur, the sound of claws prickling the earth. The silver tabby sunk to the ground, crouching. Her beautiful ears lay flat against her delicate skull, her blue eyes flashing as her lips pulled back in a hiss , her beuatiful face mangled with the defensive mode of an awaiting attack. Her tail whipped from side to side, her body emitting her fear scent and distress
First, all she saw was a big red tom. His amber eyes flashed as he bounded from the long grass. Silver remained her posture, but her lip curled back over her teeth. She realised she was in no state to fight. She was just 6 moons old, had a damaged paw, and was in no state to fight this hardened tom. She sat up now, leaning back on her haunches. To say she was calm would be ridiculous, but she was no longer as tense as before. She was in no position to fight, so surrending was her only choice.
The silver tabby she-cat swept her tail over her paws delicatley, reaching up to lick her injured paw, and swipe it quickly over her ears before dropping it back to the groun, barley resting on the dirt, while studying the tom. He was only young, and was a handsome rusty ginger colour. His muscles rippled under his coat, and he seemed quite lean, as opposed to herself. His amber eyes were clear, and seemed friendly enough that he wasn't about to eat her. She nodded her hello, staying very still in the position she sat.
"Hello. Please, Would you be able to help me? My mother's housefolk have taken me from my mother and thrown me from their monster's belly, and my other siblings. They died when they hit the thunderpath"
She shivered, remembering the crunch she has heard as they hit the ground. She had continued to roll, straight into the water's black grip. Her voice grew stronger now, and her fear scent began to fade.
"My name is Silver. I need a place to stay, and my paw to heal"
She mewed, holding up her paw daintily to indicate the matted fur and blood. A sound whispered behind her, and she jumped, seeing a she-cat stalk from the bush's. "Infernopaw" She mewed. What an odd name... Silver thought, before then realised the she-cat was naming about the handsome ginger tom. Silver stepped back, knowing that the she-cat who had just entered was important. She dipped her head, unsure of what to do.
(turned out a bit lengthier then I expected =P )

Infernopaw's eyes widened to see the young kit go through so much and let alone cross into their territory with such an injured paw. It was a wonder how predators didn't find this kit first. "Don't worry,"the dark ginger tom mewed. "I can take you back to camp. I'm sure our leader Haggarstar can find a place in the Clan for you,"he mewed in reassurance. Just then, he spotted the large black she-cat walk up, giving the young apprentice a startled jump. "Oh! Haggarstar!"the tom meowed in surprise, quickly dipping his head low in respect. He felt his fur bristle slightly, still a bit shocked by the sudden appearance of his leader. He wondered if Haggarstar had heard what he had said. Hopefully, he had said the right thing, or he'd be giving this young kit false hope.

The DawnClan leader could not hide her amusement as her fellow clanmate bowed toward her. After several seasons of leading DawnClan, she still could not get used to her clanmates bowing and showing any other form of deep respect toward her. Being a leader does not feel any different. She just feel like herself the way she once been before, a loyal warrior to DawnClan, doing her duty as best as she could. Being a leader is important. She understood its unspoken strength and power. She knew how not to abuse it.
Hearing the kit's words gave Haggarstar her first impression. The first impression was the fact that the kit was smart and mature. The way she spoke was entirely different than the words she heard from the chattering, playful kits in the queens' den. This time, this kit was no playful. There was no happy gleam in her blue eyes. Haggarstar knew that this kit was seeking for help.
And she will give this kit all help she could get. No matter what, it is in the warrior code to help all kits if they need.
"I certainly will help you, Silver," Haggarstar told the kit. She almost said Silverkit, but she stopped herself before saying that by accident. This kit surely looked like a battered, proud DawnClan cat, but she did not say that. Looking at the dark ginger tom, she ordered him, "Retreat to your regular duty. I want to see you tonight." She glanced at the kit, "I will take Silver with me back to the camp and bring her to see Mirrorleaf." [/size]

Infernopaw dipped his head, though his ear flicked with worry. Why did his leader want to see him later? Did you perhaps do something wrong when approaching this kit? "See ya"he mewed quickly to the young kit before bounding away with a quick wave of farewell with his tail. The apprentice tried to push his worried thoughts away, thinking that if he had attacked that young kit, he would've broken the warrior code. Besides, Haggarstar had treated the young kit as he had expected. Infernopaw decided to catch the fattest rabbit he could find for the Clan...just in case.

Silver watched the rusty coloured tom run away, after his leader dismissed him. She almost mewed her goodbye, her eyes staring after him for a moment. The word's left her mouth at a whisper, for the tom was already bounding away. Her tail drooped slightly, before the sliver cat turned and faced the she-cat before her.
"Mirrorleaf? Thankyou for helping me, but may I please know your name?"
She asked, cocking her head to the side very slightly. She padded after the leader, her eyes quickly looking from side to side, observing her surrounding's. Around her, the grass flattened as she reached a dip in the ground, the grass cleared away to make a clearing. All around her, cat's were poking their head's from dens, and staring at her. She sat beside the long-legged she-cat, her chin up high. The gaze's burnt into her, but she was calm. She wasn't scared, but she wasn't to thrilled either....

The leader gladly told Silver her name, "I apologize for my improper approach. My name is Haggarstar." She did not add the fact that she is a leader. This kit would be afraid of her and she did not want that for the silver tabby she-cat.
Padding back to the camp, she noticed each cat poking their heads out of the dens, briefly bowing toward her in respect. There was no need to announce her clan yet. As she reached the medicine cat den, she called after the medicine cat, "Mirrorleaf?" [/size]

[atrb=width,300,true][atrb=border,0,true] | [atrb=bgcolor,0c7400,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,300,true] Flicking her feather-like tail side to side, the young medicine cat's bright green eyes rested on a patch of her freshly picked catmint and smiled a bit with her left paw resting beside it. She had just neatly put them in a nice bunch, which to her was always a habit and was now thinking of the next task to be done. Though her apprentice, Pansypaw was giving a day off, she couldn't help but think about the little guy and how helpful he was. Quite the little one. She thought, chuckling a bit before picking up a pile of catmint between her jaws and lightly padded over to her herb den with her feather-like tail barely touching the dirt ground. With a flick of her ears, she entered it and placed it close to her batch of cobwebs, but far enough away from her supply of honey in order to keep their scents from mixing and ruining them both. As her jaws closed however, she heard a voice from the den's entrance and flicked her left ear back in response. "Haggerstar." She spoke softly, turning her head a bit before exiting the herb den with a slight flick of her tail. As always, the first thought that came to her mind was that someone was fighting again and needed to be tended to. It had always happened, even though her clan was better off then the always scarred MoonClan and alot less troublesome then the tree climbing FireClan.
The snow white she-cat flicked her tail at the thought and upon seeing her clan leader, bowed her head slightly. "Yes, Haggerstar?" Mirrorleaf replied, her bright green eyes slightly skimming over the she-cat's black pelt for any scars before returning them to her leader's eyes. She didn't notice the little one yet, though she did take note of a different scent that lingered to her nose and agreed that it was indeed another cat. Mirrorleaf however, would not pin point the scent yet, not until after she had heard the story. Although...she could tell by just how Haggerstar's eyes were, that something was slightly wrong.

As she heard her medicine cat's reply, she was pleased. Smiling a little, she looked at her medicine cat's bright green eyes and gave her a silent communcation only the medicine cat will understand. She let Mirrorleaf see the slight worry in the gleam of her yellow eyes. "Greetings, Mirrorleaf." She paused as the medicine cat bowed a little then she continued, "This is Silver." She gestured her tail to the small silver tabby kit. "She injured her paw. She need your help."
Padding closer, she whispered into Mirrorleaf's ear, "I will explain later what happened. Right now, I have to speak with the young apprentice, Infernopaw. I will come back later." Padding out of the medicine cat den, she gave a friendly flick of her tail in farewell toward Silver before she left. She went to the middle of the camp's clearing and yowled, "All DawnClan cats..." Her voice trailed off as she realized every cat was already listening. [/size][/center]

[atrb=width,300,true][atrb=border,0,true] | [atrb=bgcolor,0c7400,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,300,true] The young medicine cat glanced at the small kit, noting the silver pelt and its tabby stripes before returning her gaze back to Haggerstar with a more of wondering look. She never liked being left out, nor did she like the fact of being less informed. That however was dismissed from her mind, as the leader's whisper of words told her all she needed to know. She may have been med cat apprentice when Haggerstar was a warrior, but she never doubted her words. Though when it comes to wounds and StarClan, its the Medicine cat's words that shine through. As Haggerstar left her den, a smile marked her muzzle and soon begin chuckling a bit by her thoughts. Who knew that after so many moons with her leader, that she herself had nearly read every one of Haggerstar's moods. After giving off a heavy sigh, her sight once again falls onto Silver with a look of warmth and gently rose her feather-like tail until it was slightly above her body.
"Now, I never liked to have any of kits walk under such pain." Mirrorleaf spoke, padding beside the kit and lowered her head a bit. "So to make myself clear on that, I'll carry you to your nest." She finished, grabbing Silver gently by the sruff of her neck and padded over to a batch of moss that she had prepared for incoming complainers. Her term "Nests" ususally meant moss that was used to sleep on, which became quite simple for her to say. Reaching the moss, she gently put the kit down and flicked her ears back when hearing Haggerstar's voice again. This time, it was toward the whole clan. Maybe later...Right now, this kit needs me. She thought, raising her head to look at the kit better and smiled. "Now, Silver. Tell me what happened to your paw, so I can treat it." Mirrorleaf meowed, As her mind went through what herbs that were needed to treat the wounded paw.

Haggarstar explained to everyone what happened with Silver, the newcomer, as she jumped off from her den cave as she went off in the grass field to search for Infernopaw. (sorry about short post! ))
