Sootpaw got bored waiting for her mentor, Mooseface, to teach her something like fighting, or hunting, so she decided to explore a little. Her sky blue eyes searched around curiously, she was awfully close to Mistclan territory when she started to remember the day she was taken. Taken from her home with her friend who went missing. Poor Tombpaw, she wondered where he was now? Was he running around freely? Or was he caged by those horrible Two-legs? Either fate was sad for she wouldn't get to see him anymore. He would be gone forever, he had been her best friend, the only one she was totally shy with. Well she wasn't exactly shy, she was more or less just.. distant from the others, she didn't like to be near others or at least to close. She merely preferred to sit back and watch what they did. But Sootpaw was an amazing fighter.
She was loud and completely... not herself when she was fighting. To make her feel better about it though she was good at fighting, which was more then she could say for hunting, she sucked at hunting, she always scared away the prey by stepping on a stick. Oh the many poor twigs crushed by her paws. She shook her head, and went back to thinking, it was then that she noticed she was walking straight into a tree, "Eep!" She yelped jumping back and tripping over her tail. She gasped seeing herself awfully close to the border she got up and ran back deeper into the territory.

Eaglepaw padded through the terrain, his pink paw pads carefully avoiding sticks and leaves so it appeared that he wasn't there. Just a shadow moving in the world, nothing noticeable, just a speck of dust flying in the wind. The tom had always wanted to be this way though, ever sense his father had told him MoonClan was out to get him. Later he learned this to be a lie, but he couldn't help but stay away from everyone. It was a way of life for him now, he couldn't help it.
Eaglepaw didn't have and close 'friends' in Moonclan, nor in any other clan! It had been like that sense kit hood, but sometimes he thought that he didn't need friends to be happy. He just needed to believe in himself to improve, which he really needed to do with fighting. Fighting wasn't this toms strong point, he just wasn't fast enough to land an attack, nor strong enough to get a good one. But he was superb at hunting, he was great at stalking, and almost always caught his prey!
The small tabby's ear twitched at the sound of another cat, it sounded like a shriek, but not of pain. Fear maybe. Curiosity, one of his fatal flaws, drew him closer to the cry. That's when his pale yellow eyes saw Sootpaw's dark pelt zoom away, he hadnt known it had happened before it did. But words zoomed out of his mouth H-hey!

Sootpaw gasped hearing someone call out hey, she blinked her eyes, that beautiful sky blue colour that glimmered in the dim light. She looked at him, stopping as she turned, her fluffy black pelt shimmered in the light. She gazed at the small tabby, just about as big as her, if not bigger because she was standing farther away. She sighed a bit, she hoped he wasn't going to attack her, but then again she did love to fight, but on the other paw, she didn't exactly feel like it right now, having tripped and fallen she felt a bit dazed. She looked at him, "H-Hi" She said sheepishly back.

His ears twitched wildly for her words, though only one could hear em. His dull yellow eyes searched Sootpaw, she didn't seem to recognize him, though they were den mates. A small frown creased on Eaglepaw's face, but he didn't blame her, he didn't expect anyone to pay attention to him.
His paws tingled as he heard her voice reply to him H-Hi. Eaglepaw noticed the shook her on her face, his ears layed back he should apologize if he scared her
"Uh..s-sorry if I shocked you..."
He meowed quietly, his eyes fixed on his paws. The small tabby didn't want to speak anymore then that, in fact he wanted to run away and be alone. But he always wanted to be alone, a habit he picked up when he was small, and wasn't about to drop it.

Sootpaw looked at him, seeing him more clearly now, she reconized it was Eaglepaw, her head still a bit dizzy from when she fell. She smiled a bit sheepishly, "I-It's okay Eaglepaw" She said lightly. She looked down quietly, she didn't mean to not reconize him, it was that she was dizzy and couldn't really see him, she felt bad because of the small frown upon his face. She looked down quietly, her ears folded back a bit, she was still a bit nervous outside of camp on her own, she probably shouldn't have gone off on her own. But she had gotten lost in thought. She looked at Eaglepaw, he probably wanted to be alone, she sighed a bit.

Eaglepaw's ear flew forward as she told him that it was okay. He had heard that expression a lot, and every time he wondered it it really was okay... But he shrugged it off for now, he couldn't read other cats minds. Though sometimes he wished he could, just so he could know the truth.
Eaglepaw's eyes were fixed on Sootpaw's paws. Well, he was the only looking at them because she was, and before he could stop himself he spoke more
"W-why are you out here alone?"
He asked, talking a little more then usual, honestly, he didn't like talking to much. Maybe it was because he was used to being quiet and anti-social. Though a thought crossed his mind, would she be wondering the same thing? It would only seem natural, apprentices weren't supposed to be out alone anyway...

Sootpaw blinked her eyes a bit, the beautiful sky blue colour seemed to shimmer in the dim light, "W-Well I um... I was.. walking" She said sheepishly, she looked towards him, "May I a-ask why you are out here?" she asked. She knew she wasn't supposed to be out of camp, without a warrior anyways. She looked at Eaglepaw she wondered why he was out of camp, surely he wasn't allow as much as she wasn't. She looked towards him, rather curious, he always seemed to be out of camp.

His pale eyes scanned around them for a moment, the forest dark look seemed to consume the two apprentices whole. A shiver ran down his spine as his tail fell to the ground with a quiet thump. That's when Sootpaws voice flew into his ear, she said that she was just out for a walk... And just as he thought, she had asked him the same thing. A lump formed in his throat as he thought of something to say...
"I- Well you see- Um-"
He couldn't find ant excuse for him being out of camp! Lying was usually a breeze for him, but he couldn't really do it to another apprentice, one that he thought was trying to get away from it all... Just like he was...
A sigh flew from his lips as he started to speak the truth to the ashen she-cat
"I was just... Getting some peace and quiet... And um..."
He wasnt sure whether to say To be alone ya know? He thought that might be rude... So that's all he said, and he waited for Sootpaws reply, his paws closer together and his head down.

Sootpaw blinked her bright blue eyes curiously, wondering what he was trying to say, he started off but didn't finish, he seemed alot more hesitant then she was. She listened a bit more before speaking he spoke again lightly and she nodded her head a bit. She looked around carefully, "I-I understand" She said. She sighed and looked down a bit, "I-i can leave... if y-you want peace and q-quiet" she said sighing a bit looking down, she should probably head back to camp anyways even if she didn't want to.

Eaglepaw sat down and pushed his ears back, his pale eyes closed in a way so Sootpaw couldn't read his expression. The tom felt something strange... Did he feel bad? Well, he didn't want to tell Sootpaw why he was out, in thought of hurting her feelings. Now Eaglepaw was scared that he did hurt her feelings.
Quietly he opened his eyes and looked to Sootpaw, her shinning eyes brightly standing out from her pelt. Unlike the plain of his eyes that just sorta... Blended in.
"You don't have to... If you don't want to!" He added hastily, his voice draining away with each word.

Sootpaw looked back towards Eaglepaw, "R-Really?" She asked him curiously, wondering if he was just saying that because he felt bad, she sighed a bit folding her ears back, "I-I don't want to be a bother to you" She said softly, she really didn't want to bother anyone, she was used to being on her own... ever since Tombpaw had been taken from her she had been so shy and sheepish, yet when she fought.. she was an entirely different cat, she was loud and yelled and was the opposite of how she acted the rest of the time. She wasn't sure of what to think about it.
