Irritated-When a cat becomes irritated, it twitched it's tail, lays it's ears back, and pulls it's whiskers in toward it's face.
Angry-A bushy, swishing tail is a sure signal your cat is really angry. An arched back and dilated pupils are another sign of an imminent attack!
Anxious-A fearful cat often hisses when threatened. It's ears may move back and forth or be lowered, and it's tail will be down or between it's legs.
Happy-A happy cat will hold it's ears and tail high, with it's tail tip slightly curled. It will often run to greet it's owner this way, meowing or purring a welcome.
Affectionate-Cats show humans affection by touching a nose or paw to their face, and perhaps licking or even giving a gently nip, or 'love bite.'
Sleepy-A sleepy cat's eyes will be half-closed, and if it is feeling particularly safe and trusting it may roll onto tits back.Yawning is a sign a cat is feeling relaxed.
Don't Stare!- Staring at a cat without blinking is a threatening gesture as this is what cats do when about to attack. Reassure your cat by blinking slowly when you make eye contact. All information (c) 'Catopia' by Anne Mortimer.
