There is a mini pond nearby the training hollow. There is an apprentice, trailing her black tail on the surface of the water. The apprentice was bored, but she was comfortable. She loved the view of the pond, but she dislike the idea of swimming in it. She was waiting for her mentor, Zeromoon, to come and train her how to fight. In eight moons of her life, she was eager to begin her fighting training. Her light gray eyes shone when she heard her mentor.

"Everpaw, sorry that I am late," Zeromoon told her apprentice when she entered the clearing of the training hollow. "Are you ready to learn new fighting moves?"

Zeromoon laughed, but stopped. "I was chatting with other warriors about the borders this morning. Nothing bad. They found a wandering fox, but they chased it off. It would not come back again." Her eyes wandered to the training hollow, "Come on, Everpaw." She flickered her tail as she walked to the training hollow. "Now, attack me." She ordered her apprentice.

"Sure!" Everpaw roared when she charged her mentor down. Her claws were outstretched, but then she reminded herself this is only practice so she let her claws back in so she would not harm her mentor. She jumped on her mentor's back, but she lost her balance as she cursed.

The mentor laughed when her apprentice cursed. She purred to her, "Watch your language, young one!" As her apprentice lost her balance, she took advangte of that by rolling on the ground with her apprentice still on her back.

"Grrr..." The apprentice yapped when she felt the ground smashed against her small back. She let go of her mentor as she rolled on the dusty ground. The dirt was everywhere on her black pelt. She began to shake until she charged for her mentor again.

"I think we better stop now," Zeromoon said when she jumped out of her apprentice's way. She spun around as she told her apprentice, "You should work more on your paws and your balance."

She tripped and it made her jump in the air. She did not fall, but just made her look like an idiot. She turned around and faced her mentor. She heard her and nodded, "How can I improve my balance?"

"You will have to use your tail." Zeromoon was saying as she showed her apprentice how to keep balance with her tail.
