Auburnpaw left camp alone for the first time in quite a while. Her mentor told her she had the day off so Auburnpaw decided it was time she explored the territory on her own. The territory looked much different when she was free to stop and look closer. The flowers became that much more detailed in their looks and scent. The trees were tall and powerful looking, the bark strong and protective. Auburnpaw looked up through the leaves and the sun that was shining through. The red-golden leaves were falling all around and Auburnpaw jumped up and caught one in her mouth. Spitting it out quickly, Auburnpaw realized that leaves tasted disgusting and shouldn't be placed in someones mouth.
When Auburnpaw looked up again she was surprised to see that she was near DawnClan territory. She had made in good time and the sun was barley over her head. Looking across the river that bordered FireClan and DawnClan she took a deep breath. She really wanted to see what MoonClan was like. Looking both ways down the river, Auburnpaw looked for a way to cross. Seeing MoonClan territory from far away wasn't enough, she was too curious to leave it a distant image. Finding a few rocks that almost made it across the river, Auburnpaw bounded onto one, the leap only a tail length. Then Auburnpaw jumped to her right, a jump forward and then another jump to the left. Soon there was only one stone left. Auburnpaw eyed the stone cautiously, it looked slippery. Carefully, Auburnpaw jumped and landed wobbly on three legs. Placing her fourth foot carefully, Auburnpaw felt her weight become balanced once more and she lett out a breath she hadn't realized she was holding. Auburn took the last jump with ease.
Landing on the other side, Auburnpaw felt good to have solid ground under her again. Quickly, Auburnpaw began her journey to MoonClan. It was dangerous but she remained close to the river, letting the water she was walking in hopefully cover her scent from any warriors who may pass by in the next day or two. Auburnpaw broke out into a run, feeling the wind and the splashing water of the river in her fur. The cool air surrounded her and cause her brown fur to flow behind her.
Eyes wide, Aurburnpaw watched as MoonClan became closer and closer and she could now see the trees in detail. Taking a deep breath Auburnpaw prepared her self for what came next, crossing into MoonClan territory. Once she was across Auburnpaw felt her heart race and the blood pound in her ears. She really shouldn't be here, but she honestly couldn't help herself.
((Woah, that was kind of long wasn't it ))

((Lol, i love it ^^)) He tromped through the territory, tail lashing back and forth like a whip. His green eyes were slits and hardened. His golden brown fur bristled slightly as he pushed past a particular fern, causing the plant to uproot and fall to the ground by the force of his weight. He didn't bother to go around a root, merely stomping upon it, squashing it to the ground. His limps were stiff and his ears were flat against his head. His teeth were bared and a low growl rumbled in his throat as he traversed through the territory. All signs of an angry cat.
Cougarpaw was, indeed, quite furious. His mentor refused to teach him any more advanced fighting moves. Instead, he was being sent to hunt. This made the apprentice irritable. The tom wanted so bad to learn to fight. Isn't that what being a warrior is about? To fight with tooth and claw?
Suddenly, a foreign scent hit his nose and he glared towards the direction where the wind had carried it from. The growl in his throat turned into a bitter snarl. Intruder!
Just what he needs. A fight.
He quickly bounded towards the scent, careful to mask his presence in order to have the element of surprise. His ears cocked up as he spotted a she-cat, walking into his territory without the slightest of hesitation. You're going to be sorry!he thought. He bunch up his muscles and lept in front of Auburnpaw, his fur bristling aggressively. "Get out!"Cougarpaw commanded, lashing out a claw and poising it threateningly. "Or I'll rip you to shreds!"

((He doesn't know her name yet missy =P)) Auburnpaw felt the wind go through her fur, giving her the chills. The sun was almost hidden in this forest and the lack of heat made her much colder then she would have been in FireClan's forest. Auburnpaw froze, finally realizing where she was. She really needed to get back into FireClan territory, where she belonged. Her curiosity was quenched there was no further need for her to be her. Auburnpaw began to turn around only to flinch when she heard a tom yell at her. Someone had found her, and now she was going to be driven off, or worse taken back to FireClan and punished there. Turning slightly, Auburnpaw saw a tom maybe only a few moons older than her at most. His fur was a golden brown and Auburnpaw had a feeling that it would shine in the sunlight. Auburnpaw calmly looked at the tom in front of her. "If that's what you wish." She murmured calmly, looking the tom straight in the eye. Hopefully, he was just defending his territory and wouldn't tell his leader, but Auburnpaw couldn't count on anything.
"I'm sorry for invading your territory, I only entered because I wanted to know what MoonClan's territory was like, I've only ever seen it from a distance." She mewed, not taking her eyes away from the angry tom's. With her heart beating in her chest, she began to turn away. Hopefully this cat would not attack her from behind.
((Stop her! Haha))

((I know, i sometime put in omniscient point of view. XD))
Cougarpaw's lip writhed back in disdain at the way the she-cat so calmly admitted her mistake and acted like it was no big deal. "Does Fireclan ever teach their apprentices the warrior code?"he sneered, taking step forward in a threatening manner as he let a growl rumble in his throat. "Or are you too stupid to know that you're not supposed to go into Clan territory just because you feel like it,"Cougarpaw spat, lashing his tail. He was looking for a fight, and he was aware of it. But anything to burn off his anger.
The she-cat started to turn away, and Cougarpaw's eyes darkened. You're not getting away that easily!
Letting out a challenging snarl, the apprentice became a flash of golden fur as he lept at the she-cat with outstreatched claws.

Auburnpaw winced at his words but said nothing. She was about to get turn around and listen to the feeling bubbling in her stomach, the feeling to burst out at him and tell him all that was on her mind but she felt him crash into her and she felt the two of them falling to the ground in a mess of fur and claws. Even with the wind knocked out of her, Auburnpaw managed to let out a hiss of annoyance as a small rock, no bigger than her paw, dug into her back.Kicking up with her paws, Auburnpaw attempted to get her self out from under him before he could do real damage to her stomach. Using her small size, Auburnpaw let her brown body slide from underneath him to a point where she could stand quickly if needed, but remained under him to get in a good attack.
((OMG. I cant write fight scenes without god-modding, its impossible to make it long as well... XD))

((I don't mind, you can god-mod ^^ Make things easier )) Cougarpaw let out a yelp of surprise as he found himself rolling along the ground, writhing violently as he tried to get his footing. But all he got was a mouthful of grass and dirt. Finally, as they slowed down, the golden brown tom rolled to get back onto his paws, spitting grass and dirt. Then he realized that the she-cat had slipped from him and he whirled around to come face to face with her. Cougarpaw growled, and lashed a claw blow, aiming at her ear.

Auburnpaw felt the ache in her legs, she had never fought a cat in a real battle yet and this was rather exhausting. When she saw his paw coming towards her she wasn't fast enough and his paw raked down her ear and scratched her face. Auburnpaw winced as she felt her face become raw. Knowing she was bleeding, Auburnpaw backed up and said one simple word. "Stop." She had no idea how this would go over with the angry tom, she could only hope that he would stop long enough to listen to her.
((IDEA! =0 make it so the fight pushes them back towards the river bordering MoonClan and DawnClan and she can... ahem, fall in the river or something))

((Lol, okay ^^)) Cougarpaw's ear flicked up in surprise and he actually paused a heartbeat as the she-cat uttered the word. Then he resumed his hardened, aggressive demeanor, but seemed even more irritated as he advanced forward, lashing out claw blows to keep her backing up. "Don't try that stupid trick, mouse-brain,"he retorted, aiming a claw blow at her other ear. "This is a battle. Not some kit-fight you can stop anytime!"
The golden brown tom lunged forward, making the she-cat go back steps that he covered as he advanced forward. He barely heard the roar of the river, and was unaware that they had approached the edge of the border. All his attention was bent on giving the she-cat a few good scars to remember him by. With a hiss, Cougarpaw careened forward and headbutted the Fireclan cat's flank.

Auburnpaw winced as he said those words. It was true, this wasn't a fight that she could just stop whenever she wanted. When she had first said it she honestly thought that he might stop, the expression on his face changed slightly. But then his hard, angry expression was back, the change was only a flicker.
Auburnpaw took a step back as he began to attack her again. Auburnpaw felt his head hit her flank and her self fly backwards. She didn't have far to go before what little air was in her lungs was taken away. The icy dark water was like many thorns stabbing into her at once, the pain almost unbearable. She let out a screech but it was lost under the water. With water in her lungs she felt her self slowly loosing consciousness, she swam towards the surface and almost made it before she was sucked back under.
Auburnpaw broke surface and managed to cough out the water in her lungs but had no time to get more air. She was sucked under and she felt rocks in the river dig into her back, once or twice her head hit and once it was very powerful.
Aurburnpaw had one thought before she lost consciousness and it was that she was sad that she never got to know the tom who she was fighting better. She hated having enemies and she didn't want to go to StarClan with one.

"Uh oh..."Cougarpaw muttered to himself, eyes wide as he realized the she-cat had fallen into the river. His fur bristled in alarm as he watched her figure struggle to swim, seeing the auburn, colored head float up to the surface before disappearing. Then, without hesitating or thinking, the tom quickly jumped into the river. All at once, the current thrashed him violently, trying to drag him down into the depths where he'd drown. But his large size and well-built muscle allowed him to fight against Nature and keep afloat. But he knew he wouldn't last long if he kept battling the river rapids.
The golden brown tom, searched for the she-cat through the torrent. Suddenly, he saw a flash of red before it disappeared. But a flash was enough. Cougarpaw kicked the water powerfully, and somewhat clumsily, and managed to reach the she-cat. Taking a deep breath, the apprentice ducked his head under the water and grasped her scruff. Then he powerfully pulled her up. Summoning up his remaining stregnth, he located the the shore and propelled his way towards it. His claws grasped the rocky shore and he hauled the Fireclan apprentice onto solid ground before trodding slowly and wearily, feeling water hang down from his sodden pelt. Panting, Cougarpaw collapsed next to the she-cat to catch his breath.

Auburnpaw gasped as she realized there was air to breathe. Without opening her eyes Auburnpaw knew she was in StarClan, even with the roaring noise of the river. Auburnpaw still refused to open her eyes, scared to see what she would find. Would cats be surrounding her? Or would no one come to greet her? Would StarClan abandoned her because she had broken the warrior code by entering MoonClan's territory? Auburnpaw let out a moan and rolled onto her side, it was then when she felt all the pain rushing back. Pain in StarClan? Impossible.
When Auburnpaw opened her eyes for the first time she woke up she let out a gasp. Beside her was the tom she was fighting only moments before she fell in the river. He was shivering and soaked with water. Had he-No... that was impossible but one look at his sodden body and her beating heart told her he did. He saved her for whatever reason. Auburnpaw crawled over to him and watched his rising flank before falling back to her side in exhaustion.

Cougarpaw let himself lie there for a moment, catching his breath as the strength he lost during the swim slowly returned. The sun managed to shine upon his golden brown fur, allowing his pelt to soak up the warmth and expel the cold and wet from his fur. The tom realized that his fur was starting to get dry as patches of his fur stood up in clumps. He slowly go to his paws, feeling a bit shaky, but strength built up into his muscles and he was able to at least get up to a sitting position.
His green eyes glanced over at the she-cat. And, as if realizing for the first time, horror and anger crossed his features. He had saved an enemy Clan cat!? Cougarpaw's fur began to bristle in an aggressive way, yet the sight of the she-cat's soaking wet figure made him suddenly blurt out, "Are you alright?"
What in the name of Starclan are you saying?!a voice in his head chastised him.

Auburnpaw let out a small groan as the tom spoke, but then realized what it meant, he was okay. She scrambled to her feet, ignoring the pain that shoots through her body as she does so. With a wince she examines him for any wounds. She almost began to lick his fur when she stopped, this was a MoonClan apprentice, not an apprentice from FireClan. She stumbled backwards and felt the river at her paws again, washing away the dirt from two of her paws."You shouldn't have saved me..." She mewed quietly, averting her eyes from his. A MoonClan warrior didn't often save a FireClan one, this tom was definitely strange.
"Why did you save me? I'm from an enemy clan." She managed to look him in the eyes again, unsure of what she would find there.

Cougarpaw's fur bristled at the question, unsure of the answer himself. His green eyes darkened a little, feeling confused and angry at the same time. "I dunno,"he muttered, also averting his gaze from the she-cat. "I just...." He tried to find the right words, yet he himself didn't know why. His tail lashed back and forth in frustration. He stole a glance at the she-cat. Her eyes were looking into his. He froze for a heartbeat, looking into her eyes as some kind of feeling swelled in him. Then he quickly snapped back to reality and just growled,"I couldn't let a Clan cat drown could I?"
His reply was gruff, and he looked down upon the ground.

Auburnpaw looked at the tom uncertainly. She watched him as he stuttered with his thoughts and looked confused. Out of the corner of her eye she saw his tail twitch from behind him. 'I couldn't let a Clan cat drown could I?' That was true, she would have done the same for him, but he didn't seem so sure of his answer. She looked up and their eyes met and she noticed that he looked down again uncomfortably. Aurbunpaw took a deep breath and quickly mewed thanks, avoiding his gaze again.
"Auburnpaw... Auburnpaw is my name." She mewed, looking down at her dark brown paws.

The name sounded quite nice in his ears. A nice name that suited this pretty she-cat. Wait... He paused with his impulsive thoughts. Did his mind utter the word pretty?. What kind of Moonclan warrior would he be if he had said those words aloud? His teeth grinded together and his eyes narrowed into slits. Why? Why did he feel like this around this...this...enemy she-cat.
Yet he felt obliged to give his name also. "I'm Cougarpaw,"the tom introduced with a curt and somewhat irritable tone. He tried to resist the urge, but he let his gaze come back to the auburn-furred she-cat. His golden fur continued to bristle in the discomfort and confusion he is now feeling. Something hidden deep in his heart, buried under all the aggression and curtness he had always shown, wanted to know more about Auburnpaw.

Auburnpaw nodded at her savior and looked nervously back at him. Only moments ago he had ruthlessly attacked her, determined to drive her off, but now he seemed very relaxed and in no need to fight her. Cougarpaw, a suitable name for his coat. Auburnpaw looked around for any other MoonClan cats, she wasn't sure they'd be to kind to her either. Twitching her tail Auburnpaw turned her yellow gaze back to his.
"Thank you." She murmered again."I'm sure I would have died if you didn't save me." Her heart felt heavy -along with her fur- and she attempted to lift her spirits but failed. Auburnpaw took in a deep breath and felt the crisp air of leaf-fall burn her nose. Her nose wasn't the only thing cold though-her entire body seemed to be shaking.

Cougarpaw just shrugged sheepishly in relpy, his tail flicking uncomfortably. Yea, she would have died. It had been his fault that she fell into the river. If he'd had witnessed her drown.... Cougarpaw blinked in surprise as he felt some hidden grief as he imagined seeing Auburnpaw's broken body on the bank, lifeless, glazed eyes staring unblinkingly at him. The tom shivered a bit, scared because he did not know why his mind was thinking this way. She's an enemy clan cat! he scolded himself again. Yet his heart didn't listen to his common sense.
The young apprentice noticed the Fireclan she-cat seemed to look cold. "Erm, we should probably look for some shelter,"he suggested, trying to keep a gruff, harsh tone in his voice and keeping the concern away from it, though it was hard to do so. "Just until our furs dry off."

Auburnpaw nodded, feeling a little more nervous about entering MoonClan territory than she had before. It really was mouse-brained of her to entire it in the first place. "That's a good idea..." Her teeth here chattering and she was sure to get a cold if she didn't get warm soon. "Right... where do we go?" She asked as she looked warily into MoonClan territory. She began to shiver and attempted to shake out her pelt but nothing was warming her up or drying her fur.
She took a tentative step forward only for her leg to give way on her. When had this happened? She hadn't felt it... then she remembered in the water when she had slammed into rocks, there must have been a time when her leg smashed up against a rock or two. She cursed as she realized that she could barely walk on it.

Cougarpaw thought for a moment. Then remembered there was a small abandoned badger's den nearby. It was a comfortable place and covered by bushes, hidden from sight. The tom had stumbled upon it only a moon ago while he was hunting. He was sure no other Moonclan cat had found it before, and not likely to approach near it since badger scent pretty much filled it. There, the two would be safe from getting in trouble.
"I know a place,"the tom meowed, turning away and starting to lead her with a beckoning motion of her tail. In the corner of his eyes, he spotted Auburnpaw stumble. Impulsively and quick as lighting, the apprentice was at her side, lending his shoulder for support. Cougarpaw went red in the face as he realized what he had done. But there was no pulling back or she'd fall.

Auburnpaw mewed her nervous thanks as he rushed to help her. This was very embarassing and she was sure he was feeling the same. He probably saw her as a useless kit now instead of a future warrior. "I'm so sorry." She mewed quietly enough that he may not have heard her. She winced as she attempted to move and fell back onto Cougarpaw's shoulder. The only way she could get to their destination was if she accepted his help.
Auburnpaw slowly placed her paw on the ground, still leaning on Cougarpaw's flank. It didn't hurt as bad this time around. She gave him an apologetic glance but she couldn't look away from his eyes once they met. There was something about them...

"It's no problem,"he mumbled in reply. He met her gaze and he, too, became lost in them. It took him a heartbeat to realize they were still standing in the open. Cougarpaw blinked and quickly averted his gaze away, feeling his ears burn red. "Erm, this way,"he mewed, starting to pad along the direction of the river. He kept a slow pace, matching Auburnpaw's so that she wouldn't stumble. Her flank was pressed warmly against his, feeling quite nice, especially after that swim earlier.
After a few minutes, a berry bush was in sight. "It's here,"Cougarpaw meowed, directing her towards the bush. He pushed through the bushes, revealing a yawning gap in the ground, slightly elevated. The stale scent of badger still lingered.

Auburnpaw felt her heart speed up slightly at his response, she hadn't really meant for him to hear her but he did. When he met her eyes too she still couldn't look away, what was wrong with her? This wasn't how enemy cats acted around each other. She was relieved when he broke the stare first because she wasn't sure how much longer she would have been able to stand there watching him.
As Cougarpaw guided her, Auburnpaw felt her eyes water from the pain but held in any noise that may have escaped her if she had been alone. The pain that was shooting from her paw to her head every time she placed weight on her paw was almost blinding. She would have to think of some sort of lie about what had happened to her, there was no way that FireClan would believe that she managed to get out of the river on her own.
Aurburnpaw felt his heat radiate off him and it almost warmed her. The cold swim had taken out what little body heat she had and now was reduced to shivers when ever a breeze passed by.
The two walked, Auburnpaw still leaning on Cougarpaw for support, for a short distance until Auburnpaw saw a bush that he seemed to be heading to. 'It's here' he mewed before pushing parts of the bushes away to reveal a hole in the ground. There was a scent of badger in it and Auburnpaw froze for a moment, tensing her body just in case it was still around, before she realized that the scent was stale and it hadn't been there for some time.
Auburnpaw nodded in headed into the hole cautiously without the help of the tom. She needed to put a little weight on it slowly if she was ever going to make it all the way home on her own. She ignored her watering eyes and settled down in the old badger set. "Thank you." She whispered, letting her eyes quickly adjust to the lack of sunlight.

Cougarpaw glanced around from above the hole as Auburnpaw padded in, making sure there were no observers, predators and cats alike. Seeing or scenting no danger, he padded in cautiously after her, letting the bushes enclose behind him. Only trickles of sunlight seeped into the hoel from gaps in the bushes. But Auburnpaw's bright amber eyes were the only light he needed to pinpoint her location. He settled down next to Auburnpaw, tucking his paws under him and wrapping his tail tightly against his side. He had to force himself not to let a hair or whisker even touch Auburnpaw. Physcially, it wasn't too hard, the hollow was big enough for the both of them. But mentally, it took alot of his strength.
He felt heat swell up inside the hole, giving his fur a nice, dry feel. Already, his fur was almost fluffy and dry again, but Auburnpaw still seemed to be a little soaked. Awkward silence fell between them. Tension sizzled in the air.
"So, now we'll have to make up a story for our Clanmates as to why we're late,"Cougarpaw muttered, studying his paws as he tried to break the silence, unaware that he only wanted to hear Auburnpaw's voice.

Auburnpaw nodded nervously. What would her clan think if she returned cold, tired and with a sore paw? If she told them the truth, would they be angry with her? Would they give her dull apprentice tasks and not let her become a warrior? It was true though, what she had done was wrong. She couldn’t exactly explain why she acted the way she did. Why had she wanted to visit MoonClan so badly? Nothing came to mind as she thought about it.
The water was dripping down her chin and landing on her already wet paws. Auburnpaw felt her nose tickle and before she knew it, she had sneezed and almost fallen onto Cougarpaw. Her fur was brushing his but she quickly moved away so they were no longer touching. She did not want to test this apprentice’s patience anymore today; she had already caused him enough trouble.
“Sorry!” She mewed, “I really am...” She sighed. “I’ve cause you so much trouble today, we both almost died!” She turned her head towards him and let her amber gaze search into his eyes. “I’m such a mouse-brain. I don’t know what came over me today when coming into MoonClan territory, It was like StarClan was guiding me...” She rambled on. “Honestly, my clan will never trust me again, I don’t deserve to be a warrior of FireClan.”

Cougarpaw nearly jumped out of his pelt when the Fireclan she-cat fell onto him. Though he did manage to keep his pelt intact, his tail fur did puff out in alarm and the fur alone his spine brislted. Yet his heart seemed to leap as their flanks made contanct, sending a sparky feeling that seemed to make him feel all jittery. Though Auburnpaw's pelt was soaking wet, to Cougarpaw, it felt as warm as the sun. The golden tabby tom realized what he was feeling and quickly began to scoot away too, trying to keep at least a mouse-length distance away from her, avoiding her amber gaze, which was proving to be hard.
As Amberpaw confessed the reason why she had strayed into Moonclan territory, Cougarpaw's emotions began to battle each other. The aggressive, warrior side of him urged him to scold the she-cat for breaking the warrior code for the purpose of amusement. However, another side-something he has never had before- told him to forgive her. The latter seemed to have won the fight for he replied back, "It's okay, it happens. And don't worry, you'll make a great warrior anyways."

"No!" She almost yelled. "I wont!" She turned her entire torso towards the tom beside her. "You don't know me, you can't possibly know that I constantly mess up in training. You can't possible know how nervous I am around other cats, even my own clan mates." Auburnpaw's eyes were filled with pain. "Maybe you understand, I know other cats have similar problmes, but right now it feels as if I'm alone." She felt her breathing start to increase. She had no idea why she was telling this Cougarpaw. It had just... slipped out.
Out of embarrassment Auburnpaw ran out of the little shelter they had hidden in and yelled a quick sorry behind her. She was a fool. Auburnpaw ran from the only feeling of comfort she had felt in a long time, her entire body hot with shame. Entering MoonClan territory was a mistake, a terrible one that was never going to be repeated again. She should just forget about this day, forget that she ever encountered the handsome tom that she had left in a hurry.

Cougarpaw nearly jumped out of his fur as Auburnpaw suddenly yelled out. His fur bristled and he was speechless as his ears flicked, hearing the she-cat's rants. He was about to open his mouth a retort that it wasn't his fault when Auburnpaw suddenly bolted out. "Hey wait!"the golden tabby tom called out, quickly jumping to his paws and scurrying after her. He half-expected to see his Clanmates surrounding the whole and discovering Auburnpaw and him together. However, as he emerged, she was already half-way towards the border. "Fine!"Cougarpaw called after her furiously. "Next time I catch you over the border, I'll claw your fur off!"the apprentice yowled, lashing his tail and his fur bristling aggressively. His green eyes were slits as he watched the figure of the Fireclan she-cat disappear into the trees. His claws sank into the earth as he let out a hiss of irritation. What's her problem?!Cougarpaw thought, swiftly turning his back away from the border and stalking away. How could he have fallen for that furball?! He was a Moonclan cat for Starclan's sake! No way he was ever talking to Auburnpaw again. Cougarpaw scoured his claws against a tree bark, angry that some burning passionate feeling for the she-cat still lingered.

((Early Morning))
Auburnpaw looked into the small puddle of water before her. It was clear as day despite the dark sky around her. The sun was just beginning to rise and she had gotten no sleep. Last night, as she suspected, no one missed her. They had just assumed, luckily, that she was off on another adventure.
Aurburnpaw let out a huge yawn as she turned her gaze away from her reflection. She looked horrible today, her auburn fur unkempt, her eyes drooped and water filled. It was blazingly obvious that she needed sleep.
With the sun rising over her shoulder she knew that there would be no sleep today, only apprentice training. Maybe if she was lucky there would be time for a short nap inbetween hunting and battle training.

Aurburnpaw felt her shoulders slump as she walked out of camp. Hunting task, along the river today. That meant she would be near MoonClan territory... Her eyes began to water again and she felt her fur become hot. Cougarpaw What had happened yesterday was unbelievably embarrassing, and the reason she had gotten no sleep.
Turning towards the river Auburnpaw continued to walk through the forest. There was leaves covering the ground, a sure sign of leaf-bare, and the world was turning orange. Keeping a slow pace Auburnpaw watched the sky. She saw leaves falling, birds soaring and every once and a while a squirrel up high in the tree. Soon, Auburnpaw was at the river and she was staring through DawnClan territory and into MoonClan's. Was he over there right now? Should she apologize? Probably...
She walked along side the river, careful to take the same route as before. She only saw sign of another cat once and that was from hours before. Once she was close to MoonClan territory she sat and waited. There was no way she was entering MoonClan territory today, not after what Cougarpaw had said as she ran away.

Cougarpaw had volunteered to hunt near the river that bordered Moonclan and near Fireclan territory. No one questioned why, thankfully. They all just assumed the dutiful, aggressive tom would go off hunting. No one wanted to come with him, for he was known to be sharp-tongued. The golden tabby tom didn't complain, he liked working alone. He was just going there to hunt. That was what he was trying to convince himself, refusing to believe that deep down, he'd see Auburnpaw again. To make sure she didn't cross the territory again!he quickly corrected, hoping it was true. The young apprentice quickly bounded out of camp and through the dense, dark forest. The trees began to thin out as he neared the border, keeping his senses alert. There! He spotted the familiar dark ginger head of the she-cat. His fur bristled and his tail lashed aggressively. She sure had some nerve coming back. Yet he noticed she wasn't in Moonclan territory this time, just at the edge. Cougarpaw stalked over, growling silently in his throat as he approached with his ears laid back against his head. "Why are you here agian?"Cougarpaw snarled. "Didn't I warn you not to come near here?" Great Starclan, why was it so hard to keep a cold tone in his voice. It took all of his effort not to soften the hard look in his eyes.
