Ravenpaw managed to slip out of camp again, what foolish warriors, she slipped right past them without noticing her. She had done it many times before. Being a medicine cat apprentice she wasn't sopposed to be out of camp, but she did it so much, she pretty much knew the whole forest from the back of her paw. Her icy blue eyes searched out the area and soon found what she had been looking for, a lone black flower all by itself. Ravenpaw sighed and thought sadly, 'Smallpaw' the word stung her and hit her hard, she looked at the flower and soon sat down beside it. "hello" She meowed quietly, saying nothing more afterwards, she felt foolish talking with a flower, but it was all she had. She had nothing left anymore she thought icily. Which was true, she lost her mother, her father, her mentor and now her brother. She didn't even like her new mentor Shadowsong so she didn't care much about her if she ended up losing her to. She looked down at the flower, the dark black petals as black as her raven black fur. Her icy blue eyes pictured a small apprentice, the same size as her, with bright fiery orange eyes that was the opposite of hers. Hers were cold as ice, his warmer then the sun. She sighed a bit, she loved her brother very much, he was always so funny and kind, she was cold and mean to everyone but him. He always made her smile... made her happy. She threw away the thoughts angrily, now he was dead, she had nothing to live for so why was she here! Why was she trapped! Why could she just DIE! She hung her head a bit and sighed, it couldn't be helped, she hadn't found her reason yet, but she wished more then anything to see him again just one more time. She noticed a trend, everything she loved ended up dying, she vowed to never love again... how could she after what happened then.. with the badger... the painful snapping.. all those tears, the blood, oh the blood! Ravenpaw shook her head, she was frightened of that day, it tore her apart just to think of it, she never told anyone what happened that day, that painful day she had to stare and watch her brother die horribly and slowly. She shuddered upon remembering and forced the thoughts back once more and tried to find something else to think of, she found her eyes lingering back to the flower...

"Fox-dung,"he cursed, as the thrush flew away and his paws thudded the ground where it had just stood moments ago. His amber eyes glared at the thrush that made its escape towards the sky with an envious gaze and his tail thrashed back and forth in annoyance. Then, for the day just wasn't the day for bad moods, burst out laughing. "I guess you'll have another day to live,"he meowed to the retreating thrush. Then a sly grin crossed his lips and he growled in a teasing tone, "But I'll get you someday. Just you wait. You'll be in my hungry belly tomorrow."
Canyonpaw made a mental note to catch the thrush tomorrow. Though he didn't remember what this particular thrush looks like, but as long as he found one, he'd be appeased. He let out a yawn. So very early did he wake up to catch prey that he was getting quite tired.
Perhaps he should go back to camp? But empty pawed? He sighed and shook his head in an exasperated way. Guess I better keep looking...he thought wearily.
Padding through the forest, he tried to concentrate on hunting, but his heart wasn't really into it. Then he turned and suddenly came face to face with Ravenpaw. His ears pricked up his face went slightly red. To stumble upon the medicine cat apprentice was so...unexpected. His heart did a little leap, but he didn't know why. "Uh...hi"Canyonpaw mewed tentatively.

Ravenpaw had so much on her mind right now, she didn't know what to think anymore, she was so ughhh. It didn't matter anymore she figured anyways. Her ears perked a bit thinking she had heard something, her ears folded back again deciding it was nothing. She used to be really good at hunting. She used to be so good at it to, she missed it alot now. She hated being unable to be an apprentice anymore, when she was at least she had something to do to take her mind away from the starry cats, now she sat around a did nothing. Well not nothing, she often took time to think about things, but in camp she found it to hard so sneaking out to here was perfect for her. So secluded and quiet, it was perfect to think freely. Ravenpaw missed her old mentor, her new one is rather pathetic, Shadowsong, the cat is stupid enough to starve herself, at least Ravenpaw wasn't so caught up in mourning that she didn't take the time to eat. She admitted she liked to be alone, she always felt a need for it, she didn't know why, perhaps to think, but she can't help but miss something, she didn't know what it was, but she needed to be alone. To think at least, if just that. Ravenpaw's icy blue eyes looked down at the small black flower, her eyes had lost what ever sense of softness they once held and now she could only find looks of sorrow and pain. Ravenpaw looked up and hissed instantly, she hadn't even heard him coming, Curses she was so out of shape, she used to be able to be so good at that, she'd always bug Smallpaw who tried to sneak up on her and then again with Silentclaw even though he really didn't try. The thought caused her to stop hissing and looked away, it was Cayonpaw, he was a goof most of the time and she really was bugged by the fact he was alot like Smallpaw in some ways, if only just that. Smallpaw was a lovable cat, he was kind and caring and always full of enegry. It never seemed to end with him. "Hi" She meowed quietly, her words weren't to harsh or cold like normal, she was just feeling a bit low right now.

Canyonpaw got over his shock and he felt more confident now, especially since Ravenpaw responded. Maybe not alot of words, but at least she responded right? And it wasn't a mean one, just a standard one. His tail waved in greeting and he padded towards the side so that they weren't awkwardly so close face to face. "Sorry, almost ran into you right there,"he chuckled, looking a bit sheepish. He let himself sit down, though his tail tapped the earth in a restless way. Almost like a puppy content to watch another creature before him. Anything made him happy really. "So what are you doing out here? Collecting herbs?"Canyonpaw asked, with mild curiousity.

Ravenpaw snorted a bit, he seemed more confient now, greattttt she thought dryly, perhaps she should have kept her mouth shut and said nothing. She sighed a bit and looked around her icy blue eyes wandering a bit as she looked at random things till he spoke again. "Yes... I am rather hard to miss..." She meowed quietly, which was true in the dark forest she was rather unnoticeable. It still bugs her that she had missed hearing him come. How could she have missed that, it was so unlike her. She hated feeling this way, she felt useless weak and most of all still angry at her new MENTOR, yea right that was a funny one!. Ravenpaw looked down a bit, she didn't answer at first, why had she come out here? To escape, be free, talk, get away, leave, all those reasons and she still couldn't decide between them, picking herbs he says HA. She's rather be doing that then just sitting a doing nothing, she liked doing stuff, it got her mind off things all the time. With so many thoughts it was nice to just do something a forget all your troubles a worries, she had alot of troubles. Mainly with Smallpaw's death and everything else, it wasn't like she had anything else to deal with right now. She looked down a bit, she had nearly broke down the other day.. it wasn't her fault though, but still... it's just that... she trailed off and looked up at Cayonpaw, "I wish" She meowed at last, "but my fox-dung mentor wouldn't teach me anything so I left" She said simply as it, wow that was easier to say.

"Left?"Canyonpaw repeated, his head cocked to one side, contemplating this word. "But you're still here on Moonclan territory,"he pointed out like it was quite obvious. "And you shouldn't call Shadowsong a piece of fox-dung,"he added, though with a chuckle since name-calling was sometimes fun to do. "She's a good medicine cat. We'd all be sick and dead without her,"he meowed.
"I mean, you're a great medicine cat too. You're um-"he broke off into an embarrassing awkward pause, shuffling his paws in front of him.
"Erm, nice weather right?"the tan-furred tom said quietly, changing the topic so quickly it was noticable. "Wow, I'm bad with words...he mused with a little purr of amused laughter. His eyes were twinkling.

"I meant I left the den" Ravenpaw correct him quickly enough, she hated when others took her words and made something else. Ravenpaw sighed, "If she is so great then why won't she teach me anything!" She hissed lowly still bugged by that fact. She hadn't stormed out directly but she had been very upset with it. Ravenpaw had felt like throwing a tantrum and destorying things, but her thoughts always ended up coming back to Smallpaw, she missed him to much and it caused her deep sorrow, but she was still bugged by her shoulder and the fact she can't be a normal apprentice, either an Elder or meddie cat apprentice. She litterally had no choice it was unfair.. Ravenpaw's ears folded back, her icy blue eyes watched him carefully, "I'm not great" she meowed dryly, "I want my life back" She whispered to herself not really meaning to. She blinked a bit and glanced around, she had to admit the weather was nice today, nice and calm, but she wished it would rain. She loved the rain, more then anything, well not true, she loved her brother the most, then Silentclaw, and then her father, Shockmask, and then finally the rain. She would have said she loved her mother to but her mother died before she would meet her and Shadowdancer was the worst mother in the world so yea... "I'll say" She muttered a bit, "Then again so am I" She said quietly, which was true, most of her words either drove others away or got them upset at her, not that she minded, the more other's stayed away from her the better, she was a walking death bringer. Everyone she loved and cared for was dead, she should be as well, but she wasn't because life wanted her to suffer and it has, and she will never be rid of it.

"Well, being an apprentice sometimes comes with self-studying,"Canyonpaw responded to Ravenpaw's question with a reassuring smile. "See, my mentor is always busy with patrols. But that's not going to stop me from becoming the best warrior ever,"the tom pointed out, puffing out his chest a little as he beamed proudly, eyes shining as he imagined the day he'll acheive his goal.
"I go out alot to hunt. And I learn new things myself."
"I want my life back"
"Really?"Canyonpaw mewed, tilting his head towards the other side and looking at Ravenpaw with disbelief in his eyes. "I wouldn't have my life any other way. Clan life is the best! Everyday, cats are nice to you. You don't have to hunt for yourself all the time. And you have a reason to live."

Ravenpaw glanced at him curiously, his smile didn't touch her though, nothing seemed to anymore, Smallpaw had taken it with him and held onto it, she felt nothing but for him. Smallpaw would have said something like that to, the goofy grin on his face, it would have made her smile. Ravenpaw once smiled.. when she was younger, before the death of her father, she had smiled all the time then with Smallpaw, the two were inseparable... only death managed to tear them apart. Teaching one's self to hunt and fight was one thing, it was easy. But teaching herbs, she couldn't do that, not by herself, she'd end up poisoning the whole clan! Now that would be funny to see and it would be all Shadowsong's fault for not teaching her anything about herbs and junk like that. Ravenpaw snorted a bit, but didn't answer the first part, she didn't mention anything about self-studying for fear of killing the clan with her horrible herb skills. Her icy blue eyes watched him, "I want my life back" She repeated again, "I want to be an apprentice again, I want to run again, I want to fight and hunt!" She meowed sadly, "But most of all.... I want him back...." She meowed quietly her voice almost shaking at the end but she managed to hold through. She shook her head, "No i'm just stuck being me.... alone and miserable" She whispered under her breath, she didn't know weither Cayonpaw heard her or not but it didn't matter, nothing did, she was broken beyond repair and possibly forever, nothing could fix this broken she-cat, she was torn into so many pieces and even if you managed to put her back together she'd still have pieces missing. Ravenpaw sighed ever so slightly.

"Running? Fighting? Hunting?"Canyonpaw meowed, then a wide, confident grin spread across his face. He didn't exactly hear what she had muttered afterwards, for he was in the midst of divising a plan. "Well, why don't we do all that today?"he suggested, jumping to his paws and eyes dancing with excitement. "C'mon! I need help hunting for prey anyways. Why don't you join me?"the tan-furred tom meowed with enthusiasm, kneading his paws in anticipation. "Let's go find the fattest piece of prey the Clan has ever seen! That'll make the other apprentice jealous of us!"Canyonpaw meowed, and before Ravenpaw could start to complain, he heartily nudged her towards the direction where he knew prey was plentiful.

"But I-" She was cut off. Ravenpaw hated being cut off, she couldn't protest, she hated not being able to, it was a thing with her, she hated it when others didn't listen to her when she was willing to speak, another reason why she often stopped. She was nudged it didn't hurt her anymore but if she hadn't been working with her shoulder it would have. It sometimes hurt like when she tried to run for to long, she missed the freedom of playing tag through the trees, and she missed fighting with her brother, they were good at fighting together, play fighting anyways... their frist real fight had been against that Badger... and it killed her brother... and almost her as well. Ravenpaw sighed as she nudged, she limped along she wasn't able to hunt, well she could, but she'd be really bad at it. Her shoulder moved oddly as she limped with him, the raven black fur that covered it was in truth hiding a scar that you could not see under the slender blackness, you could feel it if you touched it but other then that it was not there. The scar started at her shoulder and raked down her back, she remembered the pain it caused her, she had been unable to move for a while after that. Her icy blue eyes looked around she wondered where they were going, she took a chance to glance back at the flower that had been left behind, 'Bye Smallpaw' She thought to herself quietly. The pain of leaving him behind hurt alot, when he first died which had only been a little while ago, she was torn apart, she's been trying to fix the pieces for like ever now, and this doesn't seem to be the way, she couldn't hunt, but would this foolish apprentice listen to her, most likely not. Ravenpaw shot him a glance it wasn't a nasty one, but her icy look made all her gazes look rather cold.

"Don't worry, you'll be having fun in no time,"Canyonpaw mewedhappily, misinterpreting the medicine cat apprentice's glare for uncertainty. Keeping in step with Ravenpaw, the tan-furred tom's tail flicked with every step he took, something he did when he was in a good mood. It was a beautiful day, why be in such a bad mood?
He noticed Ravenpaw seemed to be limping, and he remembered she had been injured by a badger before. "Don't worry about your wound,"he urged, giving her a kind smile. "Prey this season are super slow since they stuff themselves with food before leaf-bare,"he chuckled, hoping to lighten the mood.

Ravenpaw groaned a bit, this cat really didn't get it. She decided to give up, she wasn't one to normally give up, in fact she never gave up, but with Cayonpaw there was no such thing as no. He was either to dense to notice or he really didn't care about giving others a chance to say something, he was to persistent. Ravenpaw rolled her icy blue eyes, how could he even think she could have fun! She wondered for the longest time now if that was possible, to have fun? Could she smile again, feel joy, not know of sorrow and saddness anymore, Peft! That was a lie, Ravenpaw knew without Smallpaw, her life was nothing, meant nothing, she had nothing to love and nothing to care for, she was just stuck here. Ravenpaw blinked, dont' worry about her wound? Because of this wound, she couldn't even run, it hurt to move it to much so running was out of the question, besides she looked funny trying to run and she hated to look funny, she was already small enough for that. Ravenpaw sighed again, "Fine" She meowed, she decided to give it a try, after all, she was the one who said she had missed hunting, and if she didn't have to run to catch the prey she was all for it, so long as what he was saying was true, that the prey is slow this time of season, she hoped so, then at least she could hunt for a while till they got to fast again, then she'd spend most of her time avoiding Shadowsong, how dare she not teach her anything. Ravenpaw shook her head ridding them of such thoughts.

Canyonpaw's amber eyes alighted with enthusiasm. "What do you way to a little race?"he asked, putting on a challenging tone, his tail wagging like an energetic, and expectant dog. The tan-furred tom didn't know if Ravenpaw often had time to hunt, or even mingle with other apprentices since her duty was different from other apprentices. He hoped to give her a little taste of what it was like to hunt as a typical apprentice training to be a warrior. It wasn't all hard work you know? You can always find enjoyment in something.
"Let's see who can catch a squirrel first!"Canyonpaw urged.

Ravenpaw~My time of Dying~//Smallpaw I need you// Ravenpaw looked at him like he was crazy, a race? Seriously?! Was he really serious? She glanced at the look in his eyes and frowned, oh yes.. he was indeed. But he had challenged her, there was one thing about Ravenpaw, she never backs down from a challenge and she never gives up, she was rather violent when it came down to it. Ravenpaw gave a smirk, "Alright" She meowed at last, she would catch it even if it killed her, which it most likely would not the drop dead right away kind, the kind that just really plain hurts and you wish you were dead. Ravenpaw's icy blue eyes watched him, she was ready anytime he was, "When to start?" She asked lowly, though she was rather curious.

A wide, mischevious-like grin spread across his face, and his eyes were bright with excitement. The tan fur along his spine seemed to bristle slightly in the excitement and prospect of spending a fun time with the she-cat. "We'll go when the sun reveals itself from the cloud,"he answered, looking up at the wisp of a cloud that had crossed the sun, plunging the clearing into a gray darkness, for now. Canyonpaw crouched in a readying stance, muscles bunched up as he prepared to leap forward at the start of the race. His amber eyes trained on the cloud that slowly drifted. 1/4...half....3/4.... And thus the sun's rays shone out as the cloud withdrew its eclipse moment. "Go!"he yowled, dashing away.

Ravenpaw~My time of Dying~//Smallpaw I need you// Ravenpaw nodded slightly, her icy blue eyes watching the cloud, she thought of the cloud, and what it meant to her, nothing the cloud meant nothing to her. It truely meant nothing to her, but the sun was another story. The sun was there to wash away Smallpaw's life and say good bye before taking him away. That thought depressed her greatly, Smallpaw was gone now and there was nothing she could do about it though she longed to be able to. She sighed forgetting about what she was doing till Cayonpaw brought her back to reality, he shouted and then Ravenpaw took off after him, she ran oddly, she hated her run. It looked strange as she slowly more or less hobbled along, because of her stupid shoulder she had to limp which was really rather suckish to her. Ravenpaw tried to move faster and faster but soon felt hurt again, ignoring it she followed after Cayonpaw.

Canyonpaw let his senses expand wide through the forest, taking in the sights, scents, and smells as he ran. Every movement alerted him, though he was looking for only the particular squirrel. He caught, in the corner of his eye, Ravenpaw also tagging along behind him. He felt glad that she at least was giving an effort to play the game with him.
Suddenly, a flash of light brown caught his attention as movement was seen near the base of a tree. The tan-furred tom became a quick blur as he swerved towards the tree. "Gotcha!"he crowed in triumph, making a daring leap as his claws sank into flesh. The mouse let out a squeal before dying under his claws.
"Aw, darn it!"Canyonpaw meowed in disappointment, releasing the dead mouse. "It's just a mouse,"he mewed, looking about. His desired goal was a squirrel.

Ravenpaw saw him go after something, she didn't know what that something was, but she knew it wasn't a squrriel mainly for the fact it was far to small. Ravenpaw's icy blue eyes searched out for the form of it, her eyes narrowed slightly as she saw one. She moved after it, she could hardly drop, but she went as low as she could. She leapt at it wincing in utter pain as she did, she landed on the squirrel biting down and killing it, and after sitting down and lifting her paw up, she glared at her shoulder, it didn't pain her to walk, but the second she tried something decently fun it acted up again.

Canyonpaw whipped around to find that Ravenpaw already had a dead squirrel laying at her paws. For a moment, he looked shock, then his face brightened and he let out a elated laugh. Picking up his mouse, he padded over and dropped it next to her squirrel, beaming at her. "Nice one!"he praised, his eyes blinked in a friendly manner. "Though, want to allow me some bonus points for the mouse?"he asked innocently, chuckling a bit.
"See, you're capable of making a great catch,"Canyonpaw meowed.

Ravenpaw nodded sightly, she remained sitting down, "Thanks" She meowed quietly, she felt a bit better but the shoulder thing she was just sick of now. She sighed a bit her icy blue eyes looking at him, was he ever going to be angry or sad? Was he always this happy? She couldn't help but wonder. "I guess" She said, he had thought he was catching a squirrel so it should count for something in the slightest. "But I still caught the squirrel" She made sure to point out. "At the price of pain" She added to his last sentance, she really was in pain, it was probably the was she leapt and landed, both had equally made her shoulder hurt, she glared at the oddly place black shoulder at her side, it pained her to see it, knowing a huge scar that started there and ended at her hind leg was hidden ever so nicely under her fur. You couldn't see it but just brush against her back and you can feel it.

"Ah, pain is the price we pay for the good food we eat,"he quoted, talking like an wise sage. He chuckled at his little parody. "At least you won't starve right?"he added, nudging her with a friendly flick of his tail across her back. Just then, he felt the roughness of a scar, the gourging marks that was hidden under her sleek, black fur. Canyonpaw let out a low whistle as he realized this, retreating his tail. "Wow, that's a huge scar,"he said, unaware that he was probably being insensative. "I haven't got my battle scar yet,"he sighed in exasperation looking up and down at his sleek, unmarked pelt. Unless you count the little scratch on his forehead that was already fading. He had received that in a practice training when his brother "accidentally" unsheathed his claws.

Ravenpaw~My time of Dying~//Smallpaw I need you// Ravenpaw rolled her eyes at his attemp to sound like an old sage, he did a good job even though he sounds goofy. She chuckled ever so slightly and blinked when she did, she never laughed, never it made no sense. She shook her head and flinched when he put his tail on her. When he made his tail go back she moved away swiftly, she couldn't stand when others knew of her scar, it brought back bad memories. "Y-Yea" She meowed lowly, turning away slightly. She hated her scar, the badger gave it to her. Two small black cats wandered through the territory, one's shoulder was a bit oddly place and she was a she-cat with icy blue eyes, the other was a tom with fiery reddish orange eyes and a goofy grin on his face, they had both wandered a bit to far. A scared Warrior padded behind them nervously. "This place is awesome" Smallpaw laughed looking around in awe, "I could get used to coming here when were not training" he yelled in excitement, "True it is very nice" Ravenpaw smiled, "NICE?!" he yelled in disbelief, "it's wonderful, it matches your attitude nicely, It's dark and dank, yet in it's own way it's also a beautiful mystery" He told his sister. "Who in Starclan would have thought, you knew words like that" Ravenpaw smirked, Smallpaw laughed, she chuckled with him the two twins smiling happily at each other. Suddenly an eerie silence fell upon the 2 cats. "something's wrong" Ravenpaw pointed out. Smallpaw nodded, the two black cats looked around, but it was to late, they turned around and this huge badger was behind them. "No" Ravenpaw whispered before leaping into the air, only to get knocked away by it's giant claw. "RAVENPAW" Smallpaw screamed, the warrior turned tail and ran not even bothering to help the small apprentices, Smallpaw turned to the badger and attacked it, biting it's neck. It's cry echoed across the sky, it knocked him away, he landed a few paces away, he got up and ran to Ravenpaw.
"Ravenpaw look at me are you okay" he yelled at her, she had a huge gash on her back, she looked up at him "i'm fine just a scratch" she got up as blood dripped from her wound, "let's get it" she hissed, Smallpaw nodded, they attacked it together. They fought bravely but it wasn't enough the badger overpowered them, it knocked Ravenpaw away, and took it's chance to crush Smallpaw, the badger stepped on his back crushing him. "NO!" Ravenpaw cried she tried to get up and help him, but she couldn't move, the gash was stopping her, she screamed loudly and got up running at it, she bit onto it's paw but it knocked her off easily, bashing her against the ground, with a sickening crack she blacked out.Ravenpaw shuddered and recoiled slightly, she didn't want to see that again, to watch his death, their final words, no it was way to much for her to handle. There had been more but she refused to think of it anymore, she refused to remember, she hadn't heard what else Cayonpaw had said, she felt rather lost again.

Canyonpaw let out a lazy yawn, flipping onto his back so that his soft belly was exposed and his four limbs were up in the air. He stretched with a sigh of content, gazing up at the azure sky, watching a bird fly by. A large maple leaf drifted down towards him and he raised a paw, batting it in the air as it sailed towards him. His tail made an attempt to flick at the leaf, though it missed, lightly batting Ravenpaw's muzzle instead. "Oops, sorry,"he mewed with a sheepish grin. "This place is awsome. I could get used to coming here when I'm not training"he purred, starting to writhe around in the leaves like a playful kit as his back rubbed comfortably agains the ground.

Ravenpaw~My time of Dying~//Smallpaw I need you// Ravenpaw blinked, snapped from her world of dreams and lostness by a simple flick of Cayonpaw's tail. Her icy blue eyes narrowed slightly, "It's okay" She meowed a bit, but it was what he said next that threw her overboard. She didn't mind a simple hit, that was nothing, she didn't mind it, she was going to flick him back. Nothing to much, her tiny tiny wouldn't reach him to good anyways. "This place is awsome. I could get used to coming here when I'm not training" Cayonpaw purred before playing in the leaves. Ravenpaw stared at him. "This place is awesome" Smallpaw laughed looking around in awe, "I could get used to coming here when were not training" he yelled in excitementThe words so crisp and clear in her mind, like poison it quickly made her recoil and jump back. She glared at him abit, her mind set a blaze, her heart broken even more. "Don't say that!" She hissed lowly, "Don't you dare say that!" Her voice more shaken this time. The last time she had heard those words she lost everything she ever loved again, and she never recover from it, she pray she never hear those words again. Ravenpaw's head whipped around in search for any signs of a badger any at all.

Canyonpaw let out a startled yelp as Ravenpaw began to hiss at him. He quickly flipped back onto his belly and looked up at Ravenpaw with his yellow eyes wide in alarm. "Wha? Say what?"the tan-furred tom asked, going into a sitting position, fur bristling. It took him a moment to realized what the medicine cat apprentice meant. His ears flattened down as the she-cat began to scold him and his yellow eyes became filled with hurt and confusion. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to..."he mumbled, looking down at his paws. He felt horrible, but his head was full of confusion. Why was she upset by what he said? He only mentioned how great this place was.

Ravenpaw~My time of Dying~//Smallpaw I need you// Ravenpaw looked at him, seeing him mumble, she knew he didn't mean it, she hadn't meant to snap like that, she just did implusively. "I...uh..." She didn't have any more to say, she didn't mean to yell she really didn't she had been for the first time enjoying herself, but that fear, and the mentions of her past drove her back to the state of mind where she needed to push everyone away. If she didn't they would die. Ravenpaw moved swiftly away, she turned her back facing him, she curled her tail around her tiny and slender form. She hated being reminded that Smallpaw was no longer there with her. She hated the feeling to no end. Ravenpaw's whole world revolved around Death in everyway. Her mother, her brothers and sisters at birth, her father to the river, her Mentor of sickness and her beloved brother Smallpaw to the Badger. It was very depressing to think of. She sighed sadly she had nothing more to say, she merely sat there miserably.

Canyonpaw felt miserable too, quite disconcerted that Ravenpaw had not forgiven him. His ears drooped down even further as she turned away, facing her backside towards him. He felt excluded, almost alienated, from her. It was almost as if she had put up a barrier between him and her feelings, not allowing him to come close and try to sympathize with her. Then, an idea formed in his head and he trotted away. His eyes searched the forest, scanning the dense undergrowth until he spotted what he was looking for. He slowly dug it out, scraping the earth with his claws and tugging at it with his teeth. Finally, with a final tug, he gently pulled it out. Dusting a few roots and dirt at the ends with his tail, the apprentice padded back. Holding it delicately between his teeth, he arrived back to the clearing, glad to see that Ravenpaw was still sitting where he had left her. The tan-furred tom eased in front of her, sitting down so that they faced each other. Bending his head, he dropped what he had in his mouth at her paws. There is lay beside her black paws. It was a flower. It's three delicate petals were as white as snow, looking like delicate droplets as they surrounded the lush green center. "It's a Snowdrop,"the tan-furred tom explained, looking at Ravenpaw with solemn eyes. "These flowers...they symbolize hope,"he mewed, allowing a kind smile to cross his lips.
He was not aware of what really tormented Ravenpaw so much, yet he got a feeling that she needed to see that there was always a bright side.

Ravenpaw~My time of Dying~//Smallpaw I need you// Ravenpaw's ears flicked, she heard him pad away. Good, he was gone, she had driven away another cat. Good, now Cayonpaw would live happily and not dead unlike her. She was already destined to die, but only after she had nothing left in the world. So she didn't understand. Why was she not dead yet? Or is she? Could she be dead on the inside? She was she had nothing left, not even a heart wanting to care for something. And yet she did, she cared for others, she didn't want them to die, so in order to do that she had to hate them. So in a sense was she good or bad? She sighed and lowered her head more. Ravenpaw shook her head, in confusion. She sighed once more, she was just Ravenpaw, she was cold as ice and she didn't plan to change. She would drive everyone away until she died herself, then she would forever be with Smallpaw. But where was he? She couldn't see him in the sea of starry cats, he was not there, his warm reddish orange eyes, his beautiful black sleep fur so much like her own. He was missing. And she felt utterly alone. So...so very alone. Ravenpaw blinked at the sound of something dropping at her paws, she looked at a beautiful flower. It was snow white, the opposite of everything she was, it was beautiful and gentle, where she was dark and icy. Three beautiful petal's attached to an enchanting green stem. it was stunning. Ravenpaw's love for flowers was unmatched, she loved anything to do with them, when she was younger she always ran about happily in them with Smallpaw. Ravenpaw glanced up and looked at Cayonpaw, she blinked, how in Starclan did he get there? Had he come back when she was lost in thought? She hadn't even noticed him. Finally he spoke. His words were softly spoken, with a kind smile added at the end. Ravenpaw's heart jerked, he reminded her so much of Smallpaw. Ravenpaw could not fight it, it had been moons she felt like this. MOONS. Ravenpaw lowered her head and cried, tears bursting free from the icy cages that were her eyes. The beautiful icy blue eyes filled with tears and she did what she always needed to do, Cry. "I-I'm sorry" She said sadly.

Canyonpaw jumped as Ravenpaw suddenly began to cry. His ears flattened, unsure of what to do. He hadn't meant to make her cry, only to make her feel better.
"I-it's alright,"he mewed comfortingly. He tentatively placed his tail tip on Ravenpaw's shoulder. After another second of hesitation, he stroked her flank in a comforting manner, hoping she wouldn't be offended. "You know you don't have to be so cold all the time. Sometimes a little tear can relieve your pain,"he mewed.
